You can now have that feeling that we can't go a day without us having more than one scam attempt being busted by forum members, that's good work, it's helpful, even though the scam attempts are pretty obvious for those who aren't greedy and boneheaded not to read.
I feel beginners and help is the perfect place for all this threads, no old time user would fall for send me X bitcoin, I'll give you Y in return, it's stupid, it's the newbies that are susceptible(vulnerable), it's them who can feel the rush of blood to grab some free bitcoins, not knowing there is nothing such as that, just a crazy scammer trying to exploit people.
Even if coinbase was to be a charity organization, they wouldn't just give away 500btc to customers.

Its nothing but a cheap scam attempt and atleast who have got little amount of brain on his head will not gonna fall for this obvious trap. I would request all newbies to keep enough distance from this kinda greedy offers. Basically these scammers take slightly similar domain like the original platform to make people fool and its a common thing. Chances of getting greedy investors for this type of offer is really low but some people still exists who want to get massive amount profit just in a short time.
OP, I will suggest you to keep this topic here for next 24 hours and then you can move this to "Scam Accusation" where more visitors will be able to know about this obvious scam attempt.

It's a nice job finding this scam attempt. Many people will tell that this is an obvious scam site because no site would ask you to deposit first before receiving more btc. That kind of way is what scammers would do in their scam site. Better stay away from sites related to crypto that will ask you to deposit first.

I would not give much importance to such websites now. People are aware of this type of scam. It's not like before when they would just post their site on Twitter and Telegram and people jumped on it immediately. And your example is a good one. The address collect nothing https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/address/1DT83v9X1mwJNq55nPAX31VTnZ4ffmFAUo/(Still good to warn people ofc)

It's good to see empty wallet address. But I think it's not because that people become smarter and more aware about this type of scams. It's probably mainly because this website wasn't advertised and promoted yet to get some victims. I still often see people sending quite a lot money to the most obvious scam schemes

Domain Name: coinbasereward.com Registry Domain ID: 2451727874_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.namesilo.com Registrar URL: https://www.namesilo.com/Updated Date: 2019-11-06T07:00:00Z Creation Date: 2019-11-05T07:00:00Z Registrar Registration Expiration Date: 2020-11-05T07:00:00Z Registrar: NameSilo, LLC I already reported it to the registrar which is NameSilo, LLC. I already sent an e-mail to the email address of NameSilo which abuse@namesilo.com. For sure, this will be taken down as soon as possible. And this is very risky on newbies, especially for those who are starting to explore Bitcoin or crypturrency. I also saw before this kind of websites spreading on twitter with some impostor of famous or popular twitter accounts that into crypto.

Is the $100k BTC possible?

That's an obvious scam because they ask to deposit from 0.1 to 10BTC which is too big and honestly I can't afford sending them that big amount. No one will fall for this and I believe only dumb people will be interested in this kind of tactic.
It is likely the same as a doubler where your bitcoin will become x2 or x3.
I know many people scammed in doubler so I believe some people will fall for this trap this should be reported to domain provider before other people will fall in this trap.
I noticed the address is not changing "1DT83v9X1mwJNq55nPAX31VTnZ4ffmFAUo" I got the same address and I noticed if I click the TXHASH below of the page if you scroll down you can see all transactions but if you click them you will redirect to the fake binance domain but it seems the fake binance domain is expired.

Anything related to sending money in advance, whether it is to pay a commission or any transaction collateral, is 99% fraud. I am surprised that people are still fooled by such obvious attempts of scam. But since the scammers are still trying to do it, it means that there are naive people who send them money.

Very sad that there are 2 victims already. These probably are the people that never look into it first and never verify if the giveaway is legit from coinbase or any company which their name has been used by these scammers. I hope that there will be no longer other victims to be added sending bitcoin on that scammers address.

Sometimes the scammers will fake "deposits" to fool unsuspecting victims. I checked the address (which sent the BTC) and judging by the transaction volumes, it might belong to the scammers themselves.

Meh this is a pretty common(and very very obvious) phishing scam. You can easily tell by looking at the domain itself and by the huge 0.1 BTC demand. But thumbs up for informing the noobies I guess.

LOL with the domain and even if I am a noob I would definitely doubt the site that giving some free BTC yet you have to give first and just for verification you will send some n amount that's almost a total noob thinking AFAIK to fall within this scam attempt. That's a generous noob to send 0.1 that fast without thinking of the consequences. Sometimes the scammers will fake "deposits" to fool unsuspecting victims. I checked the address (which sent the BTC) and judging by the transaction volumes, it might belong to the scammers themselves.
Exactly. If there are really two users who have fallen with the trap that would be total 0.2 BTC and not with 0.0005 less with it, it's the scammers balance. To the OP it's better if you report this domain so that it will be labeled as a scam site before some individuals may harm with this.

I cant belive that they try this everytime with every platform . And yes if you already read the " you get back 1 to 100 BTC " you should be scared about that.
I mean who will give away +90 BTC when he just get 10 ? Nobody. And yes sad to hear and to read that some Users already was fallen into that .
No platform will ever ask to send something first to get the double or more back if they doing an giveaway. Check the news on the main platform and look what adress the webpage has .

This is just a silly attempt to gather money by scamming. Who would spent 0.1 btc only to verify the address. Only the newbies can be trapped in it because a person like you and me who have been dealing in crypto currencies knows that this is not a realistic demand from them. Shame that these scammers first register the domains similar to popular websites and then try to fool the innocent. The money which they collect by these wrong acts can never help them.

They use such large amounts because of psychology. The potential victim thinks that "if such large amounts are proposed, it is possible that there are people who are able to risk such amounts. If someone risks 10 BTC, I will risk the smallest possible, i.e. 0.1 BTC" - and the fish is caught.

@Little Mouse this is a classic scam technique where the scammers make the site using a known brand name and expect people to fall for it, however these days most of the people know it’s a scam and they avoid such sites. As many members including me keep on repeating here, any site or person that asks you for money in advance, and then promises to send you big amounts of money later is a big scam and it’s important to avoid doing transactions with these sites or people.

They are scammers but they are very fool really. I don't think anybody will send 0.100 BTC to 10 Btc without any investigation. If they ask lower amount then some greedy newbie will may sent. Anyway, I have scan this website via virus total and see this result.
