At this point in my life, I would take old and established anyday over the new ones, although there are definitely no guarantees, just like HPB has recently proven to us, but I tend to think that old projects has stood the test of time and can be here longer than many new projects will, I think the new projects need to exist for a while to prove to us that they are here for the long haul, to avoid mistakes of the past.

There are certain coins I'd like to also purchase but there isn't much capital, the ones that I might just buy are the ones with the very decentralized properties like the blocknet, holo and xmr.

Always altcoins are depending on bitcoin growth in crypto market when that crypto market was in peak in 2017-2018
Between that year, the Bitcoin price was around $19k all altcoins are really gives more than 60 to 80% of ROI.

But after that Bitcoin price collapse for $19k to $7K all altcoins are comes 80 to 90% down. Now I thought about  the Bitcoin is getting ready for going to hit  all time high again so I think this is the best time to invest in top altcoins In crypto market before bull runs comes.

Anyone who just buys altcoins just because the price dumped so much, without doing thorough research before taking the decision  is making a big mistake. What if price dumped because the "fake team" members are busy taking all buy orders, or what if they already exit scam? I warned a friend not to buy XENTIMENTUM some time ago, he went ahead to buy on hotbit just because the price dumped and he lost 400$ (now the token is worthless).

in my opinion, this is not a good time to buy altcoin because we can't predict which coin will survive next year
there a chance of some altcoin will give better ROI
but to be safe I prefer to hold bitcoin in this kind of market and I already have a lot of different useless token in my wallet

Buying altcoin without analyzing to find the right altcoin will not help us to make a profit in the next bull market because we only waste our money to buy the wrong altcoin. All of the altcoins now seems to have the potential to increase back as before, but unfortunately, we don't know which altcoin that can improve, so only with research, we will find the right coin. Maybe we will be difficult to find the coin, but at least, if we can analyze the top 10 or the top 20, we will get some more info about the right coin.

With the condition of the many falling altcoin prices, there is indeed an opportunity to accumulate at a low price. But in my opinion, not all altcoins are worth investing in for the long term because many altcoins are starting to be abandoned by the developer team

I already have some altcoin that I hold. I will not buy anymore because the altcoin market has been in red condition since the last 2 years and until now there has not been an increase. I'm afraid the altcoin market can't pump anymore. so I prefer to buy bitcoin rather than altcoin. Yeah, like which ones?  I haven't seen anything new come to market that has a single new thing to add to any of the hundreds of shit coins already in existence.  Seriously, I'd love to know what the decent new coins are because I sure can't figure it out.

Good luck with that bag of 'goodies'.  The only one in there that has any chance of performing well is Eth.  Litecoin might track bitcoin's price if the latter starts to move, but the rest are dogs.

That's correct, and if anyone is wondering why altcoins are in the toilet, this is the reason.  There are too many and the vast majority *don't* have any real world use and only get used for trading.  That can't keep up forever, because traders eventually lose interest in them.
