Is twitter a good source of info?

Twitter is a social media that can be used as a source of news about bitcoin and others, i agree with this.
But if you only display news about bitcoin that comes from other sources then peoples will not always be with you, they will choose a direct news source to follow and that is better.

It would be better if you have a website, then display the news that is on your website on Twitter, in my opinion it will be more interesting because what you share on Twitter is the result of your other work and at the same time will increase site traffic your website.

Actually, it depends on the person itself because we have different preferences and levels of perception unless you will provide legit information that can help some of us to enlighten ourselves about the things that are currently happening to bitcoin. I usually use my Twitter account to be updated in other things aside from bitcoin but I still think its a great idea especially when you are going to update every single thing because it can help those people who're conducting their own research. It will be successful if you have enough knowledge about researching because in that way you can easily provide legit information and details but you can't expect people to read it, because of people nowadays who don't usually believe the news about bitcoin since there are some people who used to deceive others by providing fake news.

The answer to your question is no. It's easy to create multiple account on twitter to pretend something is a legit one. And I think there's a bot where you can easily get thousands of followers. With other aspect, I prefer twitter over Facebook with news and updates but something crypto-related information, I sort of doubt most of it.  You need first to build your trust in twitter community before others can say that the account is a good source of info.
Looking for information, I tend to go to other sites... Even here in this forum, you can gather info already.

Why would people follow your Twitter account though? People can simply follow certain people and certain news sites' Twitter accounts that they personally prefer and trust; rather than someone else's.

You're right but if the OP did a bounty program in other to increase their account followers, theey will definitely gain hug number followers and that's if they really want to be notice.

Sure OP's Twitter account would increase in followers if OP conducted a bounty program, but it doesn't change the fact that OP's account is completely unnecessary. Even if OP's Twitter account has 1 million followers, it's still not going to be better than people manually handpicking their own Twitter followings.

Actually, twitter is a place where you get to hear the latest information out there in the crypto industry but it's best to always certify the authenticity of any information out there even if it's from Cointelegraph, Coindesk or any of the credible crypto press website. One thing that you have to do is to always do your own research anytime you see a publication on the internet. Don't follow it blindly and neither jump into conclusions based on that.

Social media like Twitter are easy to manipulate like boosting tweets and likes and hit thousands on it and we don't know that is real or not. On my own, I won't rely on twitter news especially on the newly built account and did not have twitter badge on their profile name. Definitely right, twitter accounts as of now are possible can be bought and might be changed to another hand owner. If you wanted to have more real followers in your twitter account regarding your project and run the twitter signature campaign. For sure, it will give good traffic on your website.

With the limited number of character you are posting, it's better to first create a blog, from your own or from blogging sharing platform, twitter is just a tool to share the main article site or social media channels, you need to first establish your platform before you use Twitter to promote your own articles and news, if you are just going to share popular articles, chances are you will not get followers, because people wants to get straight from the horse's mouth.

I disagree about Twitter being a good source of information. At most, it can be a source of news or information but a good source would most likely be the local/international websites that provide unbiased information.

Unfortunately, with the media manipulating and controlling information against the public, finding a consistent source of news is relatively difficult nowadays so you would most probably rely on international channels.

Personally I laugh so hard at those big followers on twitter. There is a guy who is calling altcoin season since 2018 every month and he has more than 20k followers and people still believe him and still buy the coins his shilling and I don't get it how someone like him is on social media , honestly.

I never get my info from twitter but I go from time to time to have a laugh on guys like this one from above... . However I get my news from sports and other stuff but never from cryptocurrencies.

Your Twitter account seems to aim to be an aggregator from other sources, it's great if you improve the quality of the content and have a lot of active crypto followers, even though this has become an outdated model, but it's still worth using. such models have begun to move to more concise platforms such as telegrams, you can also use them to add followers from both sides.

as long as the information provided is accurate and has good grades, you can get a lot of followers. the most important of the social media accounts that provide information is the content that is in it, and should develop it, use some social media to better attract users

in my opinion a good source of info comes from sites or blogs, because it is connected directly with Google search, Most people search for information through Google search, even when there is a project campaign, Even blog campaigns or articles pay more than Twitter campaigns.

It can be a good source of info only if you shares legit news and not being paid by anyone. Remember that there’s already a lot of cryptonews site and they also have twitter accounts. There are so many scammers in twitter, well it will be hard to trust new sites now but people still use twitter for some updates so it can still help.

Well, everyone starts as a small and work their way up.  

However, if you are just re-tweeting or sharing articles from other sources like what I saw while viewing your Twitter, then I don't see any reasons why people should follow you as they can just head directly to much popular and famous crypto news providers. Give them reasons to follow you.

If that's your passion and interest, go ahead. See the result for yourself and decide after quite some time if it's still worth to build it.

I would rather stay in this forum to get my daily news about bitcoin.
The problem with those social media is there are times when fake news are being spread there. Actually, most of the times it will start there.
And there is also FUD which and Hypes that came mostly from twitter and facebook which they can easily reach people with groups or pages.

Why not stay here? It will be better. You won't need followers here but you will be more wiser.

Yes I agree, but he can rely on twitter for updates on his coin but in the official twitter account of it, nothing else. Each coin has there twitter account now, they post their progress and updates there , twitter is useful too sometimes I check twitter for me to know if the price of the coin will be pump or dump in sudden news.

Politicians are using twitter and whatever people say on twitter gets quoted in other media including mainstream TV so people must be think twits are serious.

It's as good of a source as any because profiles can be hacked and manipulated. For me videos are always better than tweets or screenshots.
