Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. June 2020 update

it's likely the employee who responded to your ticket/email does not know shit, I have never paid using paypal on Bitmain , they never asked me to, and I still got the credit after sending them an email.

It's at least two different Bitmain CSRs telling multiple people the same thing in regards to paying with PayPal and then requesting credit to be applied. Seems like that's their decided policy if your item hasn't shipped yet. I received the same exact e-mails you did. They said the credit was already on my account, but it showed nowhere on my account or after placing an order to apply it. When informing them this, they told me and others to pay with PayPal and then inform them of the order ID to have the credit applied, or you could wait until original order shipped and have them send refund in BTC.

Maybe they applied smaller credits to accounts directly or the only reason you received it was because your items already shipped? Coupons weren't supposed to be issued until after shipping. Majority of people asking haven't had their items ship yet and for those people they have been saying it's a hidden credit that you need to contact them to apply after paying with PayPal if you want to use it now.

I just checked my account, and there is still no credit showing and no coupons issued.

My order shipped and arrived last week for my Frist s17E upon it shipping I was told the same thing, I immediately replied to the mail provided my BTC address and requested refund. Got nothing so far follow up 3 x times not a response nothing been over a week now...

I was extremely nice and polite with my follow ups I will now send a new ticket every day with the same wording , still as polite as possible but I will send at least one a day going forward copy paste send.

That's a valid point, for a while I thought you solved the puzzle but then i remembered phill talking about credit from S9k orders, which to my knowledge have all been shipped long time ago, so phill should have been credited for the S9k price difference, but he mentioned that he got no credit what so ever, i am not sure what's the issue here to be honest, but I know that consistency might solve it, just keep bothering their support  .

One thing that does not make sense is getting a coupon (and only up to 10%) for a paypal order.
With paypal, they should just simply refund the difference OR allow coupon to be used in its entirety (like a credit) without regard to %%.
Maybe something is being lost in translation.

maybe they drop the s17 pro a bit like 1399  take off 140 from this one and you have 1259 plus shipping and tax.

For now I need to wait.

1x s17pro on its way
2x t17e   on their way.
1 s17 controller.

I believe I will end up paying  700 trump tax on the gear above and 30 tax on the s17pro.

that is 730 tax.

anddddd to make things nuttier they cancelled my 856 coupon.

which is truly a wtf. moment in time.

I got a $682 January 31 coupon yesterday and I have email pertaining to this.
Today it is gone, replaced by a $314 one.
There is a low chance I would have used the 682, so no biggie, yet the fact that they did this is a bit strange.

Same for me. Looks like they screwed up and wanted to issue a total of $682 worth of coupons for the S17 pro 50T spot order, not an additional $682. The new $314 coupon plus the $368 coupon they issued earlier equals $682.

so they pulled my 856 coupon gave me a 173 coupon to replace it.

they also dropped the s17 pro from 1599 to 1566

so 1566- 156 = 1410 s17 pro. seven day ship


t17 drops from 1002 to 977 nov 28-30 ship

so 977- 97 = 890


the other units dropped in price.

They way these are dropping in price combined with the coupon quality given i can’t justify any purchase
If the price drops more and they start handing out maximum 5% discount coupons next (not far from it already )
Not even taking into account the bs support that doesn’t reply back and how the s17e coupons credits refunds are non existent....

The only way to get the credit according to their support is to pay with PayPal and then contact them with the order ID. They will then manually deduct the amount from the order. I too tried placing an order over a week ago with BTC after they first told me I had a credit and no credit was shown or applied on the order along with no coupon. I contacted their support again and they gave the pay with PayPal and contact them answer others have also received.

No. I only attempted an order with BTC to see if credit would show up after they told me the credit was on my account. The credit did not show anywhere to be used and I let order expire. Their support then said you have to pay full price with PayPal and then they will manually apply the credit through PayPal.

Based on what their support has been stating, yes, you would pay full 1600 USD via PayPal and then they'd give you 1400 USD back via PayPal. I probably wouldn't attempt that though unless you don't care about potentially getting stiffed on your credit. They were also offering BTC refunds, but stated that could only be requested on orders that have already shipped.

Order delivered 10 days ago requested it politely when it shipped and a few days after and a few days after and everyday for the last three....got nothing ....not even a reply ...

Would love to hear one person who successfully got anything in their bitcoin wallet

Also the credit through PayPal has been stated a couple times I can’t imagine how you’d place an order get in touch with them get them to credit you back within the time frame of their customer service /sales team answers
Your order will ship out more thank likely will get stiffed
Also would love to hear if anyone successfully got this to work, may be an alternative to the BTC refund request which most definetly doesn’t work

Did they ever say what BTC price they will use to refund you? Hopefully, they'll refund at the current price and not the price at the time of your order.

I've got 3 support tickets open and haven't had any response. I trying to find out if I can transfer the credit for a Dec. S17 order to my host who is doing a bulk order from Malaysia.

Did you hear back through a support ticket, or have you been just emailing directly?
