Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. June 2020 update

I am considering ordering s17+ couple units but I think price might drop a bit
Also these units not running right in cold is an issues (Canada ) I have mine on a open window...so air coming im is in the -5 to -15 range
plus the power consumption being higher than advertised is a potential issue
ugh...buy coin or buy gear
plus I feel a new unit is just around the corner

My third batch t17e just shipped (better than the second batch from September which was delayed).

I have already emailed Bitmain already that the $194 overpayment to be sent in BTC, within one month.

Waiting for a reply now.

Nothing on the first BTC refund yet, only the $200 coupon that is on my Bitmain account that is available so far.

update for my t17+  it is not shipped it is due to ship by dec 20 but  since I said I want the 64th version and won't downgrade to the 58th version it will be a late delivery.

update for my t17 40th model it shipped it was due to ship by dec 31 and shipped dec 19 which is early I suspect they did to to help make up for the late t17+

I just received a shipment for a T17+ 61T (I agreed to the downgrade from the 64T). So far, the machine is operating at an average of 62T so not too bad.

I was a little anxious at requesting a refund since there is close to USD500 in my account. But here is my email exchange and it sounds promising.

My account is showing a credit of USD496.90 as a result of a price change and also of you not having any T17+64T in stock.

I do not plan on purchasing a miner in the near future so request a BTC refund for this amount as soon as possible.

Hey guys, I am a bit confused about sequencing of events.
two scenarios:

1. apply coupon, then ask to apply credit, then finalize order (in other word, even if order expire, they will still allow coupon)

OR

2. make order (without coupon), then ask to apply credit. Once credit is applied, use coupon.

Your help would be appreciated.

I think I got sent a 114 usd refund today.

0.0151 BTC

This would cover my s9k purchases.
They also gave me 1189 credit to a s17pro due in jan.
That fixes my 2x t17e order.

I am waiting on my t 17+  64th model

It is late and needs an adjustment credit

(received a couple of $140 just a bit earlier, with an expiry of 31st of jan 2020).

I hope the above are separate from the refund expected and only offered due to the price drop in the new miners (yes, again a price drop).

@ Alec  new miners lets say s19  My guess is an april preorder  with a june delivery.

my t17+  64th  has shipped it is due on Jan 2

so it shipped about  dec 30   vs dec 11-20

my t17 42 th shipped dec 18th

vs dec 20-31

That kind of evens out for late or early shipping.  Thus I won't ask for any adjustments or credits due to late shipping.

However  my t17+  was  1354.95 + a 375 coupon  or 1729.95

bitmain values    order at 1079.95

that is

1729.95
1079.95

650  credit.   I think I am double counting the coupon of 375 in my favor.

so 650-375 = 275 credit   due  as a credit.

Once the gear arrives  I will ask for a 275 credit.

I will then be squared away on everything  other then the s17 pro.   I have yet to figure out if I am owed more on that one.  Since I don't know the final price.

All in all,  I got a 1185 credit  and a 114 refund   so far.

And I would say all fall gear works.

and I would say  while it was more work then I want to do it was worth it.

By January we will have 1480th mining.

It is jan 1 gear is due on Jan 2

Hi I ordered a t17+ 64th unit on 10-26-2019 . It was due to ship dec 11-dec 20. I paid you via paypal the amount I paid was $1354.95 after coupons .

You adjusted price to $1079.95 > I will attach both documents to this request. I believe I should get a credit for 1354.95 - 1079.95 = $275.00 usd. Since I used paypal to pay this I am going to request a refund of $275.00 to my paypal charge.

I will await your reply. I know it is 3:30 am in China on Thursday the 2nd in china as it is 3:30 pm on weds the 1st here in USA. I will not contact paypal for refund as I will wait for your response before I do anything.

So with luck

1) gear comes on Jan 2
2) it works
3) they refund me $275 to my paypal account
4) I would then simply need to get my last order a s17pro  due to ship jan 11-20

If all 4 things happen I will not order until  Feb or maybe March  since the threat of new super gear in 5nm is arising.

Pressure them via emails, they will speed it up probably. Especially if they have broken the time window they gave you.

I asked them for an update. Technically they haven't broken the time window since they told me it could take up to 2 months. I think they are hoping for BTC price to go up since it was over $10k when I made purchase in September. Everyone else they seem to have told weeks or 1 month.

yea i was told 4-6 weeks and got it in 5 weeks.

a   140   usd worth of btc refund
a 1189 credit  towards a s17pro
a   275   credit towards a t17

grand total of 1604  back after the fact .
