Only scam sites do that, stay away from it. You don't need to deposit in order to access the site, verify your acc or withdraw your funds in there, it's very common scam trick actually. and it's just another cex.io (ANN thread) clone which is another commonly used by scammers.

What kind of business do you have with the site? we could suggest something reputable.

I have never heard of this exchange, what makes you interested in joining onebittrading, while many other exchanges are popular and trusted, like binance, coinbase, and many other safe exchanges, I think Onebittrading is a scam.

I do agree, popular exchange is better to be used than this kind of cheap exchange which asks its users to deposit first to verify your account. Something is wrong with that exchange.

To OP, with this kind of exchange, you better be careful and better to avoid this kind of exchange, you will only regret your actions in the end.

BIG WINNER!

Thank you very much for helping.
It is a long story to tell....
One guy told me that he is unable to withdraw his money from the site because it is restricted in his region. Also he sent me the screen capture of the error. So, he ask me to withdraw it for him.
The process will be:-
1. I open account on onebittrading.com
2. Then he transfer his money to my account.
3. After that I withdraw the money to my personal wallet. and take 15% from it and send the rest to his wallet account.

The main game is that when I try to withdraw the money I have to deposit 0.02 btc from my personal wallet to onebittrading.com. after verifying It allows me to withdraw it.
But the result is known Lips sealed Lips sealed Embarrassed Cry

Thank you friends again you saved my money.

I thought it rang a bell. The case you are reporting is exactly the same as another one reported this week: [SCAM Alert] Briefcrypt.com offer 0.8 BTC . Beware...... . Refer to that thread for further details and an ongoing discussion on the matter at hand.
Both cases are exactly the same, except for the domain name, and are both scam clones of CEX.

If a crypto exchange asked for a KYC requirment yeah sure thing you can go ahead. But if they asked for money to verify your account that is when you need to quickly exit the website as it's only their to scam you. These is how fake airdrops, and giveaways work they ask you crypto in order to “verify” your account or wallet which makes no sense as sending money doesn't veridy anything at all. @Op how do you manage to find these kinds of crypto exchanges in the first place? It's really hard to imagine with all the popular exchanges available you still manage to find a scam like this one.

I wouldn't say that so loosely. An exchange requiring kyc verification doesn't make them trustworthy by default. I can start an exchange today and subject everyone to kyc verification before they can utilize any feature on my platform. If I can do that, every other person starting an exchange can do that too. No government/regulatory approval is needed to 'verify' people's identity.

In fact, there is a lot of value to extract from verified user profiles, which scammers have been chasing after for years now, inside and outside the crypto realm.

Agreed, I'm just comparing sending payments as verification as compared to exchanges requiring KYC. The users or us still needs to see feedbacks found around the internet to see if the crypto exchange itself is indeed trustworthy for us to provide our KYCs. And you are right still our private information aside from our money is something they also value to have as this is something they can also sell to the wrong hands that's why we often see Facebook get in a lot of trouble when it comes to data privacy.

There's plenty of fake feedback on the Internet and even on this forum that's being made by shady exchanges to pass themselves off as real too, and there's really very little reason to use anything other than the major exchanges like Bitstamp, Coinbase Pro and Binance anyways; the fees on the sites are reasonable, they've been around for quite some time, and there's plenty of liquidity too. Just not worth it to risk sending your KYC information over especially to smaller sites when it's being sold on the dark web. The less places you submit KYC at, the better.
