Well in all fairness to make any decent amount of money, you have to do the dollar cost averaging into it and hold really long term. If you try to trade it short term then you will probably lose all you have. If you try to gamble it the you will definitely lose all the money. The best way to make money is to save the money. That's the statement I live by.
Trading known to be is the best way to make money buying bitcoin is for making a profit and that profit comes with holding your coin. If you will hold your investment it will give you wanted profit selling now is not good at all as the price is volatile we can buy Lower and sell higher holding give the huge price of bitcoin as the more you hold the more it will be high

Yeah, that's one of the benefits of bitcoin from other currencies, which is getting faster and more profit. If someone trades it he will make profits faster than trading with fiat because of the volatility of bitcoin is very high, but of course with risk. Well when holding it, too, fortunately faster because of the volatility again that makes the movement up so high and fast, even the slightest sentiment can affect the market so big.
You are right mate when you are trading you will have to hold it because if you trade at wrong time it will effect your profit and the whole market so better trade long term and keep bitcoin holding I buy at low price then put all in trading for long term as we know bitcoin is the most volatile coin and it never be the same for long time we should keep holding at bearish and sell at bullish trend.
Holding bitcoin is not good way because we must waiting long term to get profit with bitcoin without back to higher price never get earning every day, I think when holding bitcoin better selling after price is up although little percent and buy back after bitcoin going down, repeated your way with selling bitcoin after raising up higher price and buying when bitcoin down.
It all depends on the situation that uses it because bitcoin is not the best way to get big profits in a short amount of time and if you only rely on income from bitcoin without having another income or a real job that can generate income without relying on bitcoin, and it seems difficult to get profit from bitcoin in a short amount of time.
unless you are an expert, there is a possibility of making a profit, because in my opinion bitcoin is more profitable in the long term process or as an asset to generate decent profit.

Holding Bitcoin is the best way to make a good profit. However, this requires patience and controlling the emotions. Since I am not an expert in trading, it seems to me the best option is to hold long term. However, those who can do good trading and do market analysis increase their bitcoin by trading. There is certainly a risk in trading, the loss of funds. But trading is definitely profitable if you are a professional trader.

I've been holding bitcoins since 2012. I sometimes sell some to buy something I need. But I prefer to hold on as long as I can.

I hold mostly Bitcoins but some altcoins as well.  I believe that Bitcoin and Ethereum will remain the top cryptocurrencies for a while.  There will also be a few other altcoins that have potential to do well but it's hard to tell which ones at this point.

I'm currently holding because I believe that a bull run is just starting.  I will hold probably until next year and then sell when I have achieved a decent profit but hopefully before the next crash in price.
That is not really a bad plan just make sure to have some plan to comeback to the market in the case you sell too soon, during 2017 there were many stories of people that sold their coins at the beginning of the bull run since they thought that was the end only to be deceived by the market and you do not want to be one of those people, after all if a new bull run begins in this year or the next one we will be unable to tell how high the price of bitcoin may go.

If you are an investor who does not have much time to observe the market, nor know the analysis of charts, then the Hold option is the best for you.

And for investors who like to "trade", certainly Hold is not their choice, because the short-term waves are the time when they make the best profit.

How about you? Are you holding Bitcoin

if trading will only get defeat, then it's better to hold, because it will reduce the risk of defeat and also we can be more calm and not easily worried. and also the benefits of holding bitcoin can provide maximum benefits if we are patient.

It will depend on patience level as there is no denying to it that btc will be big in future so if someone is working then it is better hold btc and do some trading in free time to increase its quantity but if trading is someone profession than holding will not make sense to him/her so profit in fiat would be more satisfying.

Yes, based on their experience, we might do trading otherwise we can hold them in Bitcoin itself because Bitcoin is going to be dominating currency which we might see much benefit in the coming days. As long as, if we didn't convert our Bitcoin to altcoin we will be in safe hands because the altcoin prices are kept decreasing.

Actually, I'm holding and trading, can you believe it? My strategy is to deposit 1 bitcoin into Binance and start trading with alts. Then when it is profitable I will sell alts to increase the number of Bitcoin. That's the way I hold in the bear market and is showing signs of reversal. I have accumulated 1.6 Bitcoin since the start of trading in September 2019. This is one of the ways to help me maximize profits if we have knowledge of Technical Analysis.
It is a very good strategy and you deserve to receive my compliments because it is very difficult to make a profit in this market. In fact, a lot of investors with poor sentiment are often very worried when the market turns red and that is the main reason why they do not keep their calm when investing. I think current market is getting better and if you can maintain this investment then you will be very successful.

Personally, I'm not good at trading but very good on long term investment because I always know the good time to buy and sell when the profits are high.

His strategy to increase his Bitcoins is very risky! I just hold my Bitcoins, I increase them with money I earn from my job, and from
my interest in different signature and bounty campaigns. Trading is too risky, I do trade but with some coins I got from bounty campaigns.
Even if I lose them I will not care much, but my Bitcoins stay intact.
We all have ways for increasing our holding. I choose less risky approach and it's for a long-term much better option!

You already missed the best price but that is fine.

As long as Bitcoin stays as it is, I don't think there would be no problem holding them. I don't think you should hold it as you can since that is like forcing yourself to hold it despite the best chances to sell them. Better wait for a good price since you held it for almost 8 years now, the price of it in the past is so low so better grab the chance if you can. Other cryptocurrencies is also an option so try them too.

How about you? Are you holding Bitcoin

Holding Bitcoin is still the best deal if you are looking to make long term profits. Many of my friends are in loss because they invested in altcoins but few who held bitcoins are still in profit. I will prefer to keep my portfolio in bitcoin for long term and buy altcoins only for short term duration.
There are also good altcoins, I do have bag of altcoins.
I would like to know which coins you have in your bag but I think now a day there is no coin better than bitcoin so I keep holding my bitcoin and waiting for it to rising higher than 20k as it was in 2017. Altcoins are good to hold but choose only profitable altcoins which is only bitcoin and ETH so just grow up and invest more in bitcoin its best time to buy it cheaper.

Persevere for a purpose must have a strong commitment against obstacles that need very difficult as I've ever experienced, great  if you are able to survive holding bitcoin with a very long period of time there is no harm in holding bitcoin because bitcoin will provide something sweet

Because from the beginning I was very sure that bitcoin was the future. So from that I was holding bitcoin since 2015. It's not been
felt now 5 years have passed, and I get incredible profits from bitcoin. I only sold some of the bitcoin that I had to buy sudden necessities,
the rest still held up now. Because I believe bitcoin will continue to rise, in fact I believe this year bitcoin will rise above the ATH price that
is occurring in 2017.

Wow, it feels good to see an early adopter around Smiley. You make me feel jealous lol.

Regarding about your belief, I agree. I can also feel that 2020 is a fruitful year for all crypto investors Smiley. As you may notice, the price chart is not starting to grow though not as fast as we expect but at least there's improvement. Also, there's the long awaited bitcoin halving so we can really anticipate a bullish run this year.

~~from the beginning I was very sure that bitcoin was the future. So from that I was holding bitcoin since 2015.~~
I'm surprised to see another Indonesian experienced investor here. If you have bought Bitcoins in 2015, it means you have got big profits in 2017. Basically, I'm curious about how much Bitcoin you sold at that time, in ATH 2017. But I know it seems a secret thing for you, right?  Cheesy

~~I only sold some of the bitcoin that I had to buy sudden necessities, the rest still held up now. Because I believe bitcoin will continue to rise, in fact I believe this year bitcoin will rise above the ATH price that is occurring in 2017.
Not all investors have big confidence as you, especially those who expect ATH in 2017 returned or more. Some investors doubt we will see Bitcoin to reach the ATH in 2017. Can you give a bit explanation of why you believe Bitcoin will rise above the ATH in 2017?

I have started holding bitcoin from the beginning of December until now. I don't plan to hold it for too long because I have knowledge of TA so I will choose the best times to hold any coin or stock. This year 2020 is a very good year for holders to make a big profit in a year with holding bitcoins from now on. The price above $ 8k is a fairly cheap price from now, the halving event could push the price of bitcoin up to $ 16k easily. so during this time buy as much as possible.

yeah this year the price of bitcoin will reach very high after halving and i think the holders of bitcoin will get the reward of their patience, that is why buying at this time is better.
So holding is a best option for making good profit because the market value sometimes grow unexpectedly and i think at that time one must avail the opportunity to sell the bitcoin and earn profit but if the price is not going so high then holding option will make you to avoid the loss of profit, but for holding patience and confidence should be at peak.

I agree that pump time for bitcoin is just in short period and most of the time is sideway. This is the reason that why most of traders still lose when buy bitcoin even in uptrend. The main key is timing, i believe choose the right time to invest is really important, even with altcoins.

timing is important to see what price action will occur. so it would be better if you have a lot of time to do monitoring on the market, because when the pump happens it will be faster and we must be wise in determining the time of buying and selling as happened several days.
