Not always if not excessive. Even in some situations, gamblers deliberately consume alcohol after playing a few rounds. Even though this is contrary to self-control, they do this as a trigger of enthusiasm and a sense of wanting to keep playing. Alcohol is always a complement to the pleasures of gamblers, they more enjoy playing gambling by drinking alcohol.

Maybe that is okay as long as a gambler can always control himself in gambling because when we consume alcohol more than usual, we can lose control and sometimes, we will act what we want without thinking other people. Maybe the alcohol can be replaced by coffee so we could still control ourselves and we don't make some terrible if we lose money.

I always have a control of my self as I can stop gambling anytime I like to stop, I don't like become a gambling addict in the future that is why I gamble for fun and I only use my extra money for it. Using our money that are not extra is not a wise decision and most of the people who are doing it are those people who are already addicted to gambling.

Having no control over your gambling expenses will cause a lot of trouble with you so it will be good that we still have a control and discipline to our gambling habit.

Well said, you play when you want it. Maybe you're among the exception list of people who prefer gambling for fun. In most cases people go on gambling to earn, upon the same when they're in need people gamble. By this time it is not that easy to stop if we keep on winning or losing. Human mind always look for big or want to have what's at the beginning.

All that said first were right, but very few gamble with the consent of the family. Myself used to share my wins, and my mom was supportive. Later I lost everything I earned, she started to scold and even when I was upset for something else. She starts to scold mentioning already I said don't gamble. Further on I promised I've stopped gambling.

All the above, I don't know to what extent this is gonna be true. Because wife can control, but the same control in gambling won't be that effective, because it is possible to gamble with the mobile phones in our hands.

How old are you? If you still get surprised by the way people are, I guess you haven't lived enough. What I like about drinkers and gamblers ... well, yes they are assholes but if you get close to some and you talk honestly, you see that many of them are quite open and know their failings and have no misunderstanding about who they are.

Help is harder than it sounds. People judge. So find a friend, a confidante, who you tell everything.

I somehow agree, it is best to not be drunk in a place where you should think critically. However, there are those talented people who can stay alert and can still think effectively while under the influence of alcohol. I don't know how can they do it but I met one. Damn he's good, every choices he make is still calculated, he stays calm, and I saw him drunk a lot. It is alcohol tolerance? Or is he already put it in his system to be drunk while playing.

I don't know about tolerance... It's either you're addicted or not!
It's just that some people live peacefully with addiction, and some people need help!

I am among those who are lucky, because I can control my desire to play gambling. Which means I'm not a gambling addict. I must admit

Someone will have the opportunity to stay longer at the gambling table if they often win bets. The more money collected through winning, the longer the chance to play. Nothing can last longer at the gambling table if they often experience defeat.

The desire of someone to bet longer at the gambling table in my opinion will vary. Greater desire to continue playing may be felt by those who often experience defeat assuming that they want to return the capital that has been used up. But for those who win more often then I think they will think of ending the game faster and enjoying the results. Playing endlessly in hopes of getting dozens of wins I think will only make the results of the previous win potentially run out, so ending the game faster is one of the right things.

That is what many professional recovery centers.They keep the addicted gambler isolated for a certain amount of time and keep him busy with many other activities hoping that he would have forgot gambling when he goes out of the rehab center.It has been proven somewhat successful as it works some times but not always.I agree when you chase your career you have to train in order to improve yourself through different courses and this may work.

Many real addicts know this and know they should stop but they keep on doing it.

You can ask any wife beater or child molester. They know it's wrong and every time they do it they apologize and gfeel bad, Then they promise to never do it again, stay strong for a month or two and then it happens again and everything starts over.

The most important step is not to be able to tell the truth and admit to a problem. The most important is to really work on changing it.

Even they dispute any suggestions from their family members or friends. It will be hard to raise the awareness of the addicts to get rid in this case. It is very important that you are in control of yourself, just think that the money here is estimated to be depleted and that you will lose the cost of the things you need to provide. Well, your last statement is the same as lossing control of your self from being too engaged in gambling.
It's really hard to control your emotions, specially when you don't feel any responsibility yet. 1 out of 100 people has become broken and lost everything because of gambling, and we never know why they have done such horrific thing because we are not in their shoes.

I might say, you can not achieve self control when you don't have a mindset of a responsible gambler.
