Well, it is possible, some people can't control themself including their emotion and it results to taking the risk to lose everything they own without knowing their own action.

I can willingly stop gambling anytime I want but that doesn't mean I have great control or discipline. I am not a gambling addict and I only play when I want to(not constantly)
and only for entertainment, excitement or challenge that I get from PvP type card game. also just because you are not a gambling addict you deserve to gamble as much as you want.
there is this thing called "only gamble the money you can afford to lose." if you don't have funds to gamble you don't deserve to gamble.

I think a lot of things here depend on how dependent the player is on the game. If he treats the game as entertainment, then it is easier for him to control himself and the gameplay.

I have the problem of control before,  not untill i incurred some huge loss through gambling that i had to sit down and develop self discipline in terms of gambling.  Today i have improved alot qnd i can resist the urge to gamble anytime i don't want to gamble. These has helped me alot to manage my funds and i will advice all gamblers to get a grip of their self when it comes to gambling.  Make sure you not addicted and if you are already addicted try to build your self discipline, this will help you alot

I'm not addicted into gambling so I can stop anytime I want and I can gamble anytime I want.
I can gamble as much as I want but I don't want to because I don't want to spend too much money in an investment that has the highest risk-reward ratio.

For those who don't know when to stop gambling, the best thing to do is to just consult to a doctor or just forget gambling if you can do it. One way too is to think of the consequences that you can face if you don't stop gambling.

Definitely yes but it should be necessary. So far, there is no reason for me to stop gambling such everything I do here is managable and tolerable. Another thing, I'm making profit. Perhaps in real soon once the odds turns against on me too much, maybe I should stop and consider looking for alternatives to make my time productive.

This is should how people do think towards gambling specifically on losing money which we should move on and dont chase up loses afterwards because these are the things
that do triggers out addiction where it do comes to a point where you play just to make money or make breakeven.Stopping because you dont like to get addicted?
Its not a valid reason actually if you can control yourself on how to deal with it.Limit out your money and limit out excessive engagement with it then youre fine.

Well, probably that is not a goal. Because in gambling your aiming is all about the money, probably for fun but the biggest percentage is for having profit. If you can afford to risk a big amount then why not? As long as you can afford it. Because in gambling it is good if you gamble that you always can afford and no exceeding by that. If you had been lost control that's might ruin your whole life and becomes miserable in life. So, think it the overall consequences that might come, not just because you can't control.

Once you are able to admit that you're addicted it usually means that you are not or you are and are fighting it. Most addicts will say they are in control which makes this thread useless because people won't say it in public and if they do you still won't know if they are addicted or not.

I'm in control but I know it because I don't gamble a lot. Sometimes i forget about it for weeks and I never lose money that I really need.

at this time I was consciously able to control myself to stop playing gambling even in a state of losing capital.  When I was not married, I was willing to sell whatever I had to continue playing gambling..  but after marriage, I realized that now I have responsibilities to my little family, and must be able to control my emotions when gambling.

I've stopped myself before and I could do it again if I have to, I gamble almost every day and sometimes take breaks when i'm on that bad streak. If I fail in the future and somehow lose control, gambling everything I have i'd probably ask for my account to be close and talk to someone I know about my addiction.

Even if it's only entertainment it could still become an addiction if that's the only source of entertainment he/she rely on. And they could also use the reason entertainment to mask their addiction.
