Bitrocket Custom Aluminum Mining Chassis
19" Rackmount Chassis

The Bitrocket custom mining chassis was designed to be mounted in standard 19" racks in a datacenter environment, and is geared towards large scale mining. The chassis can also be stacked on top of each other with optional mounting feet.

We designed this custom chassis for our own use are and about to place an order with the factory. The prototype units have been punched and are ready to go into production. We are looking add a few more units to our order to get a better discount from the factory and help cover our NRE (non-recurring engineering) costs.

The Bitrocket custom mining chassis features:
- Custom design for high performance cryptocurrency mining
- Excellent airflow and heat dissipation
- Standard 19" rack mounting in a 6u form factor
- roughly 10.5" high, 19" wide, 17" deep
- threaded standoffs for motherboard mounting
- GPU mounting tab and card support for 3-5 GPU's
- 3 x 120mm fan mounting holes
- hard drive mounting plate
- ATX power supply mounting holes
- rack mount handles
- strong 12 gauge aluminum

The top and sides are punched in a honeycomb pattern to allow for maximum airflow and are fully removable for easy access to the GPU's, motherboard, and wiring. The Bitrocket mining chassis can be operated with our without the top & sides installed. The chassis supports 3 large 120mm fans to blow air directly across the GPU's for optimum cooling. Three to five GPU's can be securely attached to the GPU mounting tab and supported by the built in card support.

Our initial production run will cost $205 per unit including setup and tooling, however we hope to get the cost down to $165 each in volume.

Please PM me if you are interested in adding your order to our initial production run so we can get our costs down. If our order size reaches 50-100 units we will be able to negotiate a better discount with the factory.

We currently have commitments for 16 units, and will be updating this post as orders come in.
We will be placing our order with the factory on  Thurs March 20th, or sooner if we reach an initial order Qty of 50 or more units.

CNC routed prototype

Visit http://www.bitrocket.com for more information and photos and PM me to add to our initial factory order.

I like the design.

What are some of the card / temperatures that you have seen running various configurations with this chassis?

I like the design.

Thanks algaidaman!

What are some of the card / temperatures that you have seen running various configurations with this chassis?

Cards tend to run around 65 - 72 degrees in this chassis, similar to what we see on our open aluminum frames. The honeycomb mesh allows for excellent airflow and the 120mm fans provide a lot of air movement directly across the cards

These cases look pretty awesome....

Any intention to use Dell D750 Power Supplies like these, vice ATX? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=503423.0

Thanks!

Yes we have several of Sidehack's boards in hand and are working on a modified faceplate to support the Dell power supplies. They represent a huge cost savings over standard ATX supplies as surplus Dell PSU's cost about $12 compared to $200+ for an ATX Gold supply.

We also designed a custom GPU power adapter to wire these up. The Bitrocket GPU power adapter uses a single 2 conductor cable with 30 Amp quick connectors to simplify GPU wiring and eliminate the bulky PCIe power cables.
