Hitbtc is not responsive enough just like other big exchanges. I know you can provide proof but since there is so much time wasted due to the time before Hitbtc responds to your report, your funds might already successfully withdrawn by the hacker.

I also made a report to Hitbtc for a very long time waiting for 2 days and then there was a reply from the admin, I think the exchange of Hitbtc is unfair in its service and that is what it is very regrettable of,
But if it has been hacked it is hard to return it is better OP is sincere and must be careful next time.

HitBtc is a really bad exchange and you can't expect that especially with such problems involving our crypto curencies. There are also a lot of people who report hack, phising on that exchange and often don't really pay any attention to it.

So accept it now that your money cannot be returned and it may serve as a lesson for you.

Due to my clipboard hacking, A fund was sent to the hacker's wallet. I contacted ( within next minute) my exchange Gate.io and they are very much helpful and showed a good approach to help me. They suggested me to trace the fund and notify them if I see the fund goes to a platform. I traced the fund and the fund was sent into another wallet and then to Hitbtc platform. I notified them immediately and the whole thing was just in few hours. But Hitbtc took almost 36-48 hours to respond to me in that case and in the meantime, I chatted on their telegram group several times with several admins. Though they were saying to me that I should have a solution at the soonest time but later what I got is really unacceptable.
They are saying me to report to the local police and then the police will contact them and they will share the details, other than that, they won't do anything. On the other hand, our county has no specific regulation or law about crypto but it was stated not to use this type of asset. If I go to a report about this, I might be facing different laws issue. Why they are not helpful. I know one of my friends who had a similar issue and Binance helped him to recover the fund with some process. Why they can't do that? if they need my local law guidance though crypto is not legal in my country, why they are accepting users from my country? If I need to be a centralized law follower, how they can operate their business including my country? Can anyone help me in that case?
Thanks

Looking at the state of your problem now, it will be very difficult for hitbtc to help you to recover your funds. Once it's been withdrawn out of your account, there is nothing they can do to help you out.  You just need to forget about this and advise yourself to always keep your login info secured and also add other security features to your account.

If I'm right, you reported to Gate.io and they told you to trace the money and once you discover where it was sent you should report back to them? Why then are you taking the matter into your hands when you should have reported back to Gate.io to handle it themselves by reaching out to Hitbtc? If they did, I believe that HitBtc would cooperate better with them.

It's not every company that likes handing out information that has to do with their customers to just anyone, no matter the case you report. It's just like Network companies, if you're having a problem with any of their customers, you're first going to report to the police station and the police will then reach out to them to hand out the information. So that's the same thing with this Hitbtc problem you're having. But, I still suggest that you report back to Gate.io just like they have told you.

Wow, hitbtc is not freezing an account and returning the money to the original address because some guy said so!

Don't get me wrong, hitbtc is one crappy exchange but what do you suppose they should do, listen to every guy that claims he has been hacked and return the money?  You could have invented everything, you could have used a VPN to access your gate.io account "fraudulently" then pay some guy and now once you see the money arriving at some exchange you want to have the cake and eat it also.

It's pretty normal for them, file a complaint with both gate.io and your police and then try to deal with hitbtc.

And, your trust wall is not making the whole picture looking any better.

First of all, it is your responsibility to secure your account, you have to maximize what ever the site is offering to make sure no one can access your account but only you. Take note that any person can easily pretend that their account was hacked. Lastly, the warning is all over the forum, do not store Bitcoins in your exchange wallet.

I understand that it may not be legally accepted in your country which i think virtually all countries have not openly declared support for the use of cryptocurrency, but that is not to say they will not attend to any case that has to do with fraudulent acts, pour countries are not as useless and wicked as that, so since they said you should report to a local authority, I think that you should do that so that they can hasten up the process, but make sure that such local authority if one that would even understand what cryptocurrency is all about, except that you want to take time to fully explain it to them to understand.

Every exchange has their policy, and you cannot compare some of those highly reputable standard exchanges to hitbtc, they will not help you in anyway except you do exactly what they ask of you if you want your money recovered.
