Very nice,  , I remember giving you merits to reach the Full Member status, good that you are giving it back to others.

I always try to help useful members to rank up, have been getting some of them where they deserve to be, as they are already long term bitcointalk useful members with good content...

Maybe you can make a graph of members or better sources who have been helping older account ranking up etc, would be a cool statistic imo ...

I not always have been given the final merit, like on somac., strawbs, bitcoinpsycho,exstasie, d_eddie,bitserve and many more... but on there last way to gaining new status I have helped them a lot

Also all of those members I help out are very good writers with best intentions or good content and good re-distributors of Smerit, all members that use there earned merit well to help out others etc...

You’re the one for the job, you can make it work

But also not the final merit... like for example I recently helped to rank a few members (But I didn’t gave the final merit) like I helped one until 498 .... and someone else did the final job, but I did contribute a lot for the last 50-100 merits until for example reaching 500 Hero 1000 Legendary, so the calculation should be overal or for the last 50 to 100 merits....

I would suggest that someone look at the post history of this member and that we finally promote him in Legendary rank because he has been a member of the forum since 2015, and although he is not a top poster, he is one of the few from that period who is still a Hero member. If memory serves me well, he wrote somewhere that he was one of those who had no luck with the merit system (it was introduced only a few weeks before they were supposed to become Legendary).

An interesting substitute exercise to perform (simpler) is to see the margin of contribution (nMeritsAwarded/nMeritsReceived) in terms of merits to a given profile (no rank nor ranked-up consideration), or from other people’s profiles to our own.

Sometimes I'm getting busy in other boards and just visiting on beginners when I post something helpful thread. I appreciate other threads of people too. I'm too close to the next rank it's time now to help other lower members.

Thank you for the work you always do to keep everything up to date here.

Interesting, I was not aware until recently, that I am "only" missing a few merit to the very last rank.
I always thought, with my activity I should also have 1000.

This thread is is an excellent initiative, but alas not sufficient to repair the damage done to the forum by the merit system. In time it has proven to be very divisive. I agree it was a necessary measure in the time of the ICO craze and the swarms of locusts which were spamming the forum with background noise because of signature campaigns. But I remember that Theymos had thought that the merit system would produce on average almost one merit for each decent post, so it would not be an obstacle for normal people to rank up, but alas this didn't happen. As a consequence, we're having now a forum where the ranking has turned into a division in castes, which as I said is very divisive.
Personally I can't stand communities divided in castes, I don't care about hierarchies - but castes are really annoying to me. It's good that you try to fix a broken system but there would be the need of a legion of people like you. When the merit system was introduced - exactly three years ago - I was 4 days away to become Hero Member, even though I had been a member old enough (a member since February 2014) to be already Legendary - but most of the time I'd read other people posts but not enter into discussions - this is why I didn't rank up, and in fact I didn't care about the ranking issue at all. And even though I continue not to care, I can't unsee this division in castes, which is why I'm not taking part to many discussions here any more.

Good initiative, he was unlucky to sit outside the Legendary rank just before the Merit system.
