Are Altcoins getting Boycotted?

I don't call it boycott at all.  Investors were burned badly after 2017 rally collapsed into Depression.  Once better twice shy.  It is far longer for the investors to lick their wounds and overcome their phobia of altcoins.  But I do believe, in the end, the main altcoins will dominate and Bitcoin will lose the dominance.  Everyday we kept seeing more and more innovative coins coming in.  Those coins are far better suited for block chains defi etc.

Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore,they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted,giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?

What do you mean by boycotted?

I don't think that alts are necessarily generating "hate" per se from the community. Rather, it's just that people have come to realise the majority of alts are indeed simply tools for founders to make their buck before exiting without further development.

This disillusionment within the market may be the reason why BTC dominance has increased so much in recent months.

There is no such thing as boycotted. It just happened that btc is way profitable and has less risk compared to alts. It's not surprising if majority will take the opportunity where they think they can profited the most. This is all about money after all. Even you will do the same. Will you stick investing in one thing with lesser profit to gain if you have a better choice and can earn as others did? Definitely not. It's your choice though, if you believe in altcoin, you can keep and stay with them.

Seriously most people are giving up on altcoins because of the poor market growth that most have achieved ever since they were launched. Many of the altcoins have suffered a huge dip in its price making their investors lose huge amount of money. Count the number of altcoins that have turned out to be scams in this industry and that is the main reason why many investors are now focusing on bitcoin investment only, therefore the increase in the dominace of bitcoin.

At the moment only Bitcoin is the only coin that makes you feel safe because the current market is starting to collapse and many altcoins are being forgotten. I think in the near future the demand for investment will decrease more and people will only buy Bitcoin to make a profit. However, it is difficult to predict what will happen next and hopefully the altcoin season can return again.

I personally still invest in altcoins but only buy the rising altcoin as good as ATOM because this is a good choice for you to consider.

Yeah but checking the history it just happened sometime. Maybe last 2017 weve experience what we called a golden era for crypto where even altcoins are dominated and increase the market but since its a bubble there is no way we can know now how we can go back there especially if the market is full of fuds on the new altcoin projects. Seems like only major coin will survive if market fall down very hard.

yes i agree with you no boycott altcoin. it's just that in 2019 the condition of the altcoin market is very bad almost all altcoins have lost its value by 80% so this makes altcoin investors suffer huge losses. Seeing this, new investors don't like investing in altcoin. They will choose bitcoin, which has a lower risk but can provide more benefits. so that now bitcoin dominates the crypto market by 68%.

Maybe you was right because many exchange market have adopted with higher payment fees for every coin want list with their exchange, developer will try to listed with big exchange market but have faced risk with lower price because they have give higher payment fees for each exchange market listed with bigger amount.

What is the connection between the free market freely deciding on which projects to succeed and which projects to fail and exchange market charging high fees?

If a project is a really shitty project, even if it is listed on the top exchanges, it will remain shitty and will fail to gain the trust and the volume of investors and traders. Even if it can pay the high fees of elite exchanges, it will not gain volume because traders will be aware of how shitty they are. They will still fail.

Agree with this. I don't know how a boycott can work in a decentralized market. There are hundreds, if not thousands of exchanges out there (including DEX sites) and even if a particular coin or token is delisted from a bunch of exchanges, there will be many others out there who will allow the trading of that particular cryptocurrency. The only viable method here is to take out awareness campaigns regarding scam coins and encourage the users to research on the crypto they want to invest in.

It's a battle of the fittest and this is good for investors, we'll see who among these coins are real and who are fakes, these healthy and good for investors, if the developers cannot keep up with the project, then he is gone for good and will be replace a better and dedicated developers and new projects will replace old non performing one.

I think people are very afraid to invest in cryptocurrencies at this time.  That is why people often tend to invest in a major coin, such as bitcoin.  That's the risk they see in Altcoins.  I think for this reason Bitcoin always dominates.

But not all. Some people may call altcoins because more than 90% of altcoins right now just worthless coins and no more. BCH and BSV are altcoins too and you need also to consider both as altcoins.

Which is as it should be, it seems the developers of those terrible coins tough they could keep releasing their crap to the market every single day and that people will simply keep investing in it, and the question is why they should do that when they have the best investment of the past decade right in front of them? So until those developers begin to release actual good stuff that works and that could compete with bitcoin I say let them release their projects but do not invest a penny in them.

There are still many reasons why the altseason get back again, and increasing its dominance compared with Bitcoin
1 whales need altcoin to multiply the money
2 the regulation hasnt changed
3 Bitcoin is still not dead

These are good reason I think. we would see another bull in the future.

Of course, with the limited amount of Bitcoin supply, many investors/whales will choose to invest in BTC rather than Altcoin. But not all Altcoins also have no recovery, because there are some Altcoins that are now following the movements of the price of Bitcoin when Bitcoin goes up and some Altcoins up as well.

An altcoin season is definitely coming the only question you need to answer is if you are going to be there and have enough capital to take advantage of the situation, most traders are always looking for ways to earn money and I understand since that is why they are here but there are circumstances in the market in which you should be thinking about protecting your capital and wait for better opportunities, after all the market of cryptocurrencies is strong and it is not going to disappear or anything like that.
