For me Mourinho is not the best call or better to say is not the correct call for coach of the Real Madrid, i know he can put some experience and have the back to support the pressure from the stars of this team which are generating huge troubles inside the club but i dont know if that can also back fire in a bad way since Mou is now much older and the new generation is crazy and complciated.

I agree. I think Mourinho is very far from being an ideal coach for Real at this point. In retrospective of his career, when he was by far the best coach in the world, let's take a look at where he had sucess.
FC Porto - He had very strong leadership in the locker-room. Jorge Costa, Vitor Baía, Ricardo Carvalho. Strong leadership in the locker-room.
Chelsea - Again, strong locker-room, Petr Cech, Frank Lampard, John Terry and in addition, brought Ricardo Carvalho and Paulo Ferreira from Porto.
Inter Milan - Once again, locker-room with MEN. Julio Cesar, Javier Zanetti, Cambiasso, Luís Figo, Patrick Vieira, Sneijder, Materazzi, Milito. I could go on.
Real Madrid - This is when his problems started. Not a strong locker-room with experienced players anymore. Squad full of up and comings and young talents. Most experienced player at the time was Casillas at 31. Players like Rául, Morientes, Guti, Fernando Hierro, Ivan Helguera or Michel Salgado had already left the team. This was a Real Madrid in rebuilding process. One of the first things Mourinho did was sign Ricardo Carvalho.
Chelsea second time - Players like Lampard, Terry and Cech were still there but at the very end of their careers. The rest of the squad was very young. He brought back and old Drogba, and Etoo. There is a pattern here. He kept bringing old experienced players to his teams.
Manchester United - Again, one of his first signings was Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Following that pattern.

All this to say, Mourinho struggles with lack of leadership in a squad. And looking at current Real Madrid's squad, this should be the last place he should want to go. Spoiled brats, with no personality, fist fighting eachother, drama diva Vini jr, and lying dictator ninja turtle Mbappe.

Good luck José. But i fear even with the best of luck, you will not succeed in this wasp nest.

Hello gentlemen, thank you rdbase for showing me this thread. First post here.
What's your opinion on the possibility of José Mourinho's return to Real Madrid? You think he's the right man for the job? Real is a burning house at the moment.
I must say, as a Benfica fan, i am not impressed by Mourinho's work. We beat his Fenerbahce team for Champions league qualification matches, and when he joined, we were 2 points behind 1st place. With him, we are currently 8 points behind 1st place, and we have had !10! draws in the league. 10 fucking draws in the league after he took charge.

Last night one more draw, which puts us out of Champions league next season. It's a massive blow for us. So, people are not happy with his work.

There's alot of discussion. Is he outdated? Can he still get to the level of his prime? Does he still have what it takes to be a top manager? What do you guys think?
Your most welcome to join in on the conversation when it comes to any sports we do discuss about under the sun!

And with your post about Mourinho and his days being numbered at Benfica, it is causing alot of discussion.

The first time I watched one of their matches was in the UEFA Champions League but now you are saying they will not qualify for next year which is complete disgrace.
As for you question about his tenor with any club, then I would say yes. He has lost his touch with molding a team into competitors.
Just look at that long list of his resume and those days of glory are over for him and should be sent out to pasture.

We got few decent games tonight, anyone got any good betslip for tonight?

I got a free bets so Im taking the long shot tonight

PSG have 6 points lead against Lens and with 2 games to go, PSG basically have secured the title though because of the huge GD so yeah Im expecting Lens to win tonight

Another one to consider would be Alaves - Barcelona. Alaves needs to win to survive the relegation and even if you are still a fan of betting on favourites, Barcelona's odds are over 2x which is pretty good
