EPL matchweek is starting off with a shocking result for the first match of the day with Tottenham Hot Spurs leading Manchester City by not one but two goals at the Etihad!

City were just looking horrible in the first half with no sense of urgency even when the second goal went in.

I am not sure how this one will end but in the EPL Forum pool no one picked Tottenham to win.

Got them all wrong for my predictions. Horrible start for me in the EPL Forum pool.
On top of that Everton won 2-0 against Hove Albion and had a spectacular start of the season on their brand new stadium.
With Pickford saving a penalty from Brighton to generally stop a potential comeback since they had around 20 minutes left when it was given.

Last I looked Nottingham Forest were tied with Crystal Palace. Think that just ended aswell.

Only thing left to look forward too is Manchester United against Fulham.

Also with the Isak saga and Liverpool nearing a deal before the transfer window closes, I can see them wanting to make a good impression on him even if he is not playing today.

From Newcastle's side, everything seems clear - they have no replacement + the owner is a sheikh, maybe he took it personally? Honestly, I understand him. Plus, even if we talk purely from a business point of view, even in a year, Isak will have 2 years left on his contract. I don't see an excess of qualified strikers on the market, the price will definitely not fall, so Newcastle can wait for the price that suits them for at least another year without any problems.

Throwing tantrum like he should but yeah this happened to Kane as well when he had issue with Tottenham years ago when Bayern tried to sign him but honestly if the deal doesnt happen then pretty sure Isak will be playing again. Isak is not anything worth the money they are willing to sell him for and NewCastle are probably wanting this much in return so to recoup some of those losses for the time he has been not playing for them.
