I think it was natural since the bitcoin was not yet implemented in a lot of countries and to be honest not really so popular to a lot of people,
but since it was already recognized by a lot of countries and company I think it will soon going to happened it a movie about bitcoin or cryptocurrency or even blockchain.

I also hope Hollywood can produce films about bitcoin that spend a high budget and also use actors or actresses well-known. It definitely
helps bitcoin to be increasingly recognized by everyone in the world. But don't raise negative themes about bitcoin, I want a film that tells
the story of bitcoin trading, bitcoin mining, and tells the story of the creator of bitcoin satoshi nakamoto too interesting to make a film.
Hopefully in the future there can be realized there is a film with a high budget that discusses bitcoin but not about crime.

I don't really want them to make a bitcoin movie. Can you imagine how mainstream and shitty it would be? I bet you right now they will go on and on about crime drugs and the darknet and criminal underworld. So may regular people already see bitcoin as something dodgy die to ill education ignorance and laziness? Leave bitcoin to the supporters. Besides honestly how much fun can a movie about crypto possibly be? If it was based on an entire society based on crypto with firms and owners taking claims to different things in the form of coins instead of stocks and an actual working decentralized city. You don't pay tax sine you own a % of what you see around you instead ^^ You will later profit from it, unlike tax which only takes.

Looking about the topic, I think it depends on what purpose we have for such a reason that we need to spend too much budget for a bitcoin movie. If we are to state facts and make the video informative, I think a movie will not be the most suitable to do it. Since we can create a documentary which in face needed not too much fund to make, and can deliver a very informative contents that will show and tell the world what bitcoin is. But for a good market adoption, it is enough for other movies to show that they have their characters paying using bitcoin. With a repetitive showcase of how bitcoin can be use, it can surely be imparted to the mind of the people will induce great market adoption.

high budget movies where Bitcoin is mentioned, but most of them puts Bitcoin in a criminal plot and it puts Bitcoin in a negative light. We need to

make a movie, where Bitcoin is the hero and where bitcoin is changing people's lives in a positive way.  

Bitcoin is just a form of money. It's not a hero. It's not interesting as the basis for a movie plot. Cowrie shells and gold coins don't make for good movie subjects, either.

Money is just a prop in movies. That's why you'll keep seeing Bitcoin in criminal contexts -- because criminals in movies can use it the same way they use briefcases full of cash.

While not exactly a movie or high quality production... I recently saw an episode on Cryptocurrency on the Netflix series Explained created by Vox.

It is quite short it was only about a 15 minute episode but it was really well put together and professional looking.

The low-budget films you mentioned are Indie Films which are festival-level films and are not very well known.
but there are still many films about bitcoin that are more famous.

Bitcoin Hest is one of the Feature Action films I've ever watched.
Although it does not specifically tell Bitcoin and there is no history of bitcoin, this film is able to introduce Bitcoin.
But in this film bitcoin is only a digital currency that will be massively broken.


Other films about bitcoin are mostly documentaries that introduce about digital currency Bitcoin.
There is one documentary that I am interested in,
which is Film  "Life on Bitcoin" which tells about a married couple who survived for 100 days using bitcoin.

Although I invest in Bitcoin, I rarely watch movies about Bitcoin. Making successful films costs a lot of money and sometimes returns are low. When Bitcoin entered the field of film, I think this is also a new direction to assert its position. Movies attract viewers.

Like what do we need Bitcoin movie for? It's not like Bitcoin is a novel or something like that. Bitcoin is a technology that will create a solution against the centralization of monetary value. We need an actual use that people would use in their everyday life! not a fantasy about it. Even if it's a movie about education, most people won't bother learning new technologies or fundamentals about a certain technology, they want something that they could use in an easy way.

the goal of people making films is usually to make a profit, maybe they think bitcoin-themed films aren't very profitable, because bitcoin is not very understood by many people, even in my environment only a few people understand about bitcoin.

People really don't need to fully understand bitcoin for film directors/companies to profit off them though. When talking about documentaries, sure probably. But movies? Nah. Just create a story on how a drug dealer uses bitcoin to sell his stuff; and add some CIA stuff and FBI pursuing him with guns and helicopters and stuff, and you're golden.

And that's how you make a bad impression of Bitcoin to the public. Good job!

I think those films who put btc into a negative light may have been manipulating the price so that people who invested with little knowledge may possibly withdraw their funds from their wallet. Then big players will have the opportunity to buy at a very cheap price again.

Yes, I agree with you that most films are made with the aim of obtaining large profits. and I think a movie about bitcoin is less interesting to watch and can't make a big profit. because we know that only a few people understand about bitcoin. so until now there is no film producer who wants to make a film about bitcoin. and if you want to make a film about bitcoin there must be a party to fund and sponsor the film.

It would be ironic to see a huge movie on Bitcoin whose ticket prices would be bought by customers with fiat xD I guess, unless crypto gets heavily adopted, till then, we should not expect much hype in the mainstream media and entertainment because a huge section of the population doesn't know about crypto so probably won't even watch a movie on it making it a loss for the producers.

unfortunately in the arts it does require capital to build it, so I don't think it's an artist who doesn't want to produce an art of the highest quality. but people who have the capital that makes an art must always follow the needs of the market so that they do not lose.

High-budget films still prioritize capitalist propaganda, as long as bitcoin is still inseparable from bad rumors as fiat killers, then no big director will dare to bring it to the surface more for scenarios of positive utility, and even in plot twist.

Many films always rely on the artist in the first projection, the system is the second fundamental part. There will be a lot of friction in censorship institutions if they try to emphasize crypto as a good fiat alternative, controversy will arise.
