Gotcha. I was curious about what is preventing someone from making changes to other people's notifications.

One thing I noticed is the use of "Today" in quotes. If someone quotes my message the day I post it, my notification page will reflect "today" in the quote header, even if I am reviewing my notification page several days from now.

Perhaps you can review the 'quoteheader' div tag for the word "Today" and replace the word "today" with the current date.

Correct. I wasn't ready to quickly move to another host, so it takes some fiddling to get everything working again. The links to the unedited posts are correct, they just don't work yet.

I'm just using a shell script. For a Telegram bot it would be nice if I can just provide the data that the bot processes, but that's the long-term plan. For now I spend my free time improving the current version.

Ah ok. If you can hit a URL or make an API call, that should be easy to do. If you don’t go for it until I come back home, we can try doing something if you want. I have played with Telegram bots before.

I'd like to take you up on this offer once I have all my data sorted out again.

As an alternative: would anyone be interested in email notifications? If so, I'll look into how to do this add it to my TODO.

Because there is a quote of yours in the middle of the post. I believe Loyce only checks if your name is in there somewhere. I also saw one of these on my page.

Yes, it just gets ignored.

However, I'm not sure what happens when you quote someone else's code tags:

He quotes a post that has your quote. I still do only a "dumb" search, including the full quote depth. And because of my server problems I haven't had the time to improve my notifications. Getting everything back online still has priority.

I noticed there are some "empty posts" at the bottom of the Notification page. I think this is caused by incorrect timestamps after moving servers. I'm hoping this will correct itself in a few days.
