Some big things to watch for in 2020

My expectations are small base on the current happenings in cryptocurrency world. Many expected much from cryptocurrency in 2019 but none was forthcoming till this moment because of unforseen circumstances surrounding the market. I watch for an increase above what we have seen 2019.

2019 has false hopes, BAAKT which is expected to make bitcoin prices fly, in the end also has no effect, this makes us learn that don't expect too much for 2020

Your expectations are the same to me because whenever I expected high by following the hype and updates, my expectations went wrong. So, I am not waiting for a big change in 2020, maybe the Bitcoin halving will be good for crypto but that will happen in 2021, not in the next year, this is just my personal view.

It's kinda sad that this is the biggest thing because it's nothing something a group workef together to make and it was set in stone from bitcoin's beginnt even. Progress on tech is also there, I just hope lightning would see more acceptance but that just can't be for surem

Yep, that's the one. I clearly hope his prediction comes true, but realistically I think it won't. And then it should be interesting (if he keeps his promise, of course).

Cryptocurrency is still an emerging technology so it's natural for it to take a while to progress and at the moment it has stalled a little, but lots of important developments are underway as you mention and some of these may be successfully launched next year so there's no reason to doubt the potential

I'm much more interested in the issue of ethereum 2.0 which would bring greater scalability to the ethereum protocol. I heard this new development could bring a remarkable impact to the value of ethereum which has depreciated substantially.

I hope 2020 will be a turning point year for the cryptocurrency market after weakening for 2 years since 2017. With Bitcoin Halving momentum, I think this can happen and I hope that investor confidence in the cryptocurrency market will increase and the reduction in scam new projects

I doubt Libya coin will have a chance since big players like PayPal and they rest are abandoning the project before release, they complained about lack of regulations

I have never seen in my over five years that I am in the Crypto industry that a lot of events are happening, and these events are enough to make people who are not yet aware about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency to take notice of all of these events, launching of Libra is on top of the list that will make an impact, I believe good or bad publicity is still publicity, there are events for newbies and there are big events for old players here.

Governments are more worried about regulation that is why it looks like Libra is never going to have that chance because its not guaranteed, no assurance of sort, Libra existence will surely add a plus to crypto adoption so i do hope things to well for Libra

I think the biggest achievement of the crypto space by next year is the launch of Libra coin, if that would happen close to the halving schedule then probably those two great news might help hype the market again.

Libra is good because it will help to improve adoption, although that's clearly a stable coin but it would bring positive effect to bitcoin and altcoins as well because we are in one market which is the crypto market.

In my opinion, the big thing in 2019 that has been mentioned in the opening post that has the most influence on changes in cryptocurrency
prices is Bitcoin halving and launching of ethereum 2.0. The rest will not significantly influence the price of cryptocurrency. As we know that
regarding halving bitcoin there is no question, because it is clear that seeing the two halving previously can make prices cryptocurrency,
especially bitcoin can rise to the top. Then most likely the third halving that will occur in mid-2020 will also be able to make the price of

in 2020 there were some news that hit crypto, one of which was halving bitcoin and the launch of ETH 2.0. From the history of halving in the previous year the price of bitcoin has increased quite high. Is 2020 bitcoin past 15000 dollar (I'm sure that will happen). 
I have also read a new thread discussing that a Germany bank will use crypto in 2020. hopefully what we hope can happen. Buy btc at this time, hold it until halving.

I think Libra cannot launch yet by 2020. A lot of governments around the world have a negative view on cryptocurrencies because they are afraid that cryptocurrencies will influence the rules of the world financial markets. Libra still faces opposition from the US government, so far there is no indication that the US government will loosen regulations to allow Libra to be marketed.

Everyone is saying Bitcoin halving will happen in the next year and why again you are predicting it in the year 2021. Everyone patiently waiting for 2020 because when we see past years the price of Bitcoin increased only after halving. We have to wait and see how far the prices will increase after halving.

There are some sources claiming that the ETH upgrade is still three to five years from implementation. Accordingly, engineers for the open source blockchain stage are currently chipping at an existing bug fix kit to improve the security and certainty of the system.
So I think ETH upgrade is unlikely to be done in 2020.

2019 was not as happening as 2017 was for the supporters of bitcoin and crypto currencies. A couple of months ago, bitcoin showed some increase in values but that again did not last for a long period. People are hoping for big increase in the value of bitcoin overall increasing the value of crypto market in the coming year. It would be a great relief for the supporters of bitcoin.
