I have not followed siacoin for a very long time but I can see that it remain intact and strong out of all those years that I've lost interest on it. You may follow the discussions and forum/sub-reddit specified for siacoin users.

Let us admit it, Sia has a really good use case BUT no one is really using it at all! I used to have it,,, purely speculation. Truly good idea but just like most other pay for service tokens,,, if you can find something free you will not use something to pay for. Just like Bittorrent or BTT. I use it all the time but would I ever pay BTT for making it faster?

Sia project is a cloud storage using blockchain technology, which is certain that for now their main target is people who already know about blockchain, and they guarantee that their technology is truly decentralized.
Siacoin has been around for about 4.5 years and seeing its development they are not yet as famous as other cloud storage but I understand because the blockchain itself has not been much adopted or understood by many people, and also people will choose the free service first compared to pay.

I do not know much about siacoin. What I have heard about the coin is that it is real-use coin and will do better in the days to come. What is interesting is that I bought some siacoins some three years ago. But ever since then, price of the coin has been decreasing. Its price has never increased since. I hope this coin will increase in price when altcoin season comes.

The target market for SIA is segmented, not for new users. Their targets are people who have been in Cryptocurrency for at least 2 years.
Well, because of that there aren't many SIA users, there are also some older users who have left SIA to move to other projects that are more profitable.

There are many projects that are better than sia outside the Blockchain technology. For cloud storage you need to build trust, technology will not help you. Big companies like Amazon, Google and others have build a lot of trust and reputation. Sia has a good project but, it will take time to grow. Bitcoin took a decade.

If you are investing in Sia coin then hold it for long term. Otherwise skip it.

Anyhow, can someone who knows the coin OPACITY/OYSTER tell me, if SIA coin and Opacity has the same goal?
I mean Opacity also focus on decentralized cloud storage right?

Anyhow, Its proven Sia devs are good and determined
The project has been ongoing for a very long time
But i have no idea how's their finance/funding doing since they had been there for long time
