Yes because altcoins season on 2017 are just only hype by ICO campaign and now as you said only legit and trusted project will grow,  and also reputable altcoins like erhereum, litecoin,  xlm will increase price when bitcoin bull run start. 

The HYPE was the first round in order to boost the overall market atmosphere but the recent market conditions don't impress the certain group of investors. Due to the several reasons that caused the economically bad environment, crypto investors preferred to invest in the safe heaven financial assets.

I don't think alts will ever have such opportunity like that of 2017, now it is almost as if alts are not in existence, only btc has been dominating the market the past months and would probably continue to do so, my hope on alts is getting thinner as the day goes by, many people were expecting some green movement in price in this December but from the look of things nothing will be happening this time, anyways, i can't blame investors for sticking to btc only this time, many loss money through alts and hasn't recover the loss yet.

bitcoin dominance is still above 68%, this is too high and very risky if you go into altcoin now to trade daily,
but if you want to invest do it now, the opportunity will be greater

Recent BTC increases are only for itself. We have been seeing this selfishness a lot lately. Checking out the price of the altcoins in recent months is enough to see this. Altcoin season might be delay due to the fact that FUDs are now being circled around especially right now that the price of bitcoin is dropping and many people are influence also. BTC is known to be bigger than all altcoins combined but it doesn't guarantee it will be like that in the future. I'd like to believe thats the case but with the current happening in the market I think it will take time before altcoins take over the dominance in the market. Bitcoin is still the indicator for alts if it will going to rise or fall, it has a connection. After halving we dont know what will going to happen though majority of crypto enthusiasts are saying positve about it.

in my opinion we are still far from a bullish trend because the price of bitcoin is still likely to decline. maybe we have to wait another year to enter the bull market. because bitcoin will be reduced by half in May next year and bitcoin will usually pump after being reduced by half. and altcoin always follows the bitcoin price movements. if bitcoin is still stagnant at $ 7000 why do you say the altcoin season is coming? I think we have to be patient waiting again. when bitcoin is pumping then it is time for altcoin.

Wow good article and news for those who have been holding altcoins and waiting for altcoin season to come. But I do not believe that all altcoins will increase even if altcoin season sets in. Only good and potential altcoins will increase in price. And it is known fact that good and potential increase in price regardless of altcoin season comes or not.

people are still waiting for him until now, so it's only natural that people wonder when the alt season is coming. but, in fact, they have also realized that bitcoin development is needed for that. however, 2020 is the long-awaited thing.
