Exactly, mostly waiting for altcoins season to arrive long. Instead of waiting for it why not invest some btc when price still low. There is no guarantee for that altseason to arrive but since crypto is volatile still there is a possibility for it to increase in the market.

when all are focused on bitcoin, altcoin still has to wait its turn, and even then I think altcoin has a large community that can feel it. so I think if altseason is really present, I think only some will experience a surge unlike 2017, which almost everyone feels

So many parties created their ownc rypto and they are choosing that decision rather than buy native crypto. the altcoin season will not happen until there will be a big pump from the whale but when it will happen. none know about that even when you are focused to the bitcoin doesn't mean altcoin will get the bulltrend for sure.

Speaking of Bitcoin Dominance. What I observed lately is there's no something big price action made on Bitcoin even the Bitcoin dominance continues to rise up. If you take a look, especially when last April, the Bitcoin Dominance broke out, that's the time when we broke around $5,000. So what I can see now is we are again starting to make another move upward (positive for me), unless if we don't break below $5,000.
This Bitcoin Dominance is quite strong now, and I can say, it's difficult for altseason now.

Why are we talking about big price action and Bitcoin dominance? Every time we have witness Bitcoin dominance climb, it is actually Bitcoin having weaker price action compared to when it moons,,, because when it moons, altcoins tend to moon even bigger!

Think about this whole year dominance going up as Bitcoin price goes up slowly compared to when Bitcoin went boom in 2017. Or do I remember this differently?

It’s a well known fact in the crypto market that altcoins typically have their bull market moment after bitcoin has finished its course. With BTC dominance breaking above 60% for the first time in 2 years, it certainly seems like the time is coming for altcoins to enjoy new highs.

We must not cheer up for the Altcoins to shine and rise its price but we must also do the same thing for Bitcoin as well due to the fact that those two cryptocurrency are really beneficial for us once they both rise up together as one because I do believe that we people in this forum do not just momentarily invest and purchase Bitcoin but we do also get into Altcoins as well. But believing into the thought or idea that Altcoin season will soon to rise was awesome and really an optimistic kind of thinking to have right now just to loosen up the stress of the market which is still currently down. But let us see what can certainly happen in the near future if Bitcoin's dominance will take a long term or the rise of altcoin season will come. In my opinion, no one can certainly say but let us just hope for the best to come.

Altcoins have been suffering for a very long time and now they can fall by a maximum of another 50 percent, but this does not scare me anymore. But if you believe there is a chance that altcoins will go down in value another 50% then why you think you can buy altcoins safely? This is not the moment to buy altcoins, leave them alone and let us see if their incompetent developers finally get that the days of getting easy money out of investors are over and they need to work really hard to gain their trust again.

The market conditions are not suitable for an altcoin season, despite the price of bitcoin going down for months most people are still not interested in buying altcoins and with good reason since the halving is getting closer and many believe the price of bitcoin will skyrocket at that moment.

Even though, altcoin season will not arrived we can still take advantage of the crypto market since some of them are good for day and long term trading just like Vechain. I didn't expect that it will jump from 30sat to 90sat+ which is great and gain a lot of profit of it.

And i can only suggest to trade only those altcoin that has potential and more investors from an exchange.

I don't think that you can safely say that it is alt season until BTC has had its bull run and has stabilise at the top of its peak.

Historically we've seen that when BTC climbs in value significantly, alts usually decline in value in BTC terms. However when markets are calmer and move sideways in terms of BTC, then alts will have an opportunity to enjoy inflows of capital from BTC markets as traders are interested in making short term profits in more volatile markets.

That's just the nature of the markets and I don't think that currently we're in for any substantial alt pumps yet.

In fact, we don't need to wait for Bitcoin to crash to see altcoin scams die. Current investors have become a lot wiser and smarter, so weak altcoin and scam projects will definitely be removed from this market very soon. In 2020 I believe that at least 40% of currently active altcoins will continue to die. This market needs to be cleaned before starting a new bull run, all ATH of altcoin in 2017 is just a celebration.

It has been true in the past that once BTC price rises stop and level out, alts take over and an 'alt season' occurs, but this doesn't mean it happens every time.

Market sentiment is a key factor. BTC may have risen a bit recently, but this has been a recovery from previous drops. What we need to trigger alt season is a sustained BTC price rise so that market confidence returns. You are not going to get an alt bull whilst confidence is this low. People will either move out of crypto altogether or else remain in the (relatively) safe haven of BTC.

This idea would be non specific for whatever date it is for altcoins season to come. For ATH, I do hope this 2020 will have a good outlook for cryptocurrency. There are still people who do believe that we would able to see that 2017 bull run on alts.As said this wont really be possible nowadays and you are right that investors arent already interested on throwing off some bucks

Many coins have hypothetically reached bottoms but will people be interested in literally all market when rally comes? or is it gonna be just some big coins and the rest will remain pump/dump small cap niche. Think this is the most important thing to realize, cos some coins experienced pretty steady growth throughout 2019 and their season kinda started long ago.

The crypto events can happen a few times in a year and you re right about that but isn't it if we must feel optimistic about crypto anytime? the big trend will not always happen as last year we have seen crypto has been getting big pump at the middle of the year and it goes down again.

I guess there's a lot of people waiting for the altcoin season because they think the altcoin will grow again. But unfortunately, we still have to wait a while and be patient as we don't know when it will come, and we can only predict without knowing the truth. Perhaps the altcoin season will start after bitcoin is halved, so it's going to be a good time for the bitcoin to rise, and then the altcoin price will follow. Making us all quite a bit of money.

Many people wait for alt season because they own many alts, its natural to have faith in your assets, to be optimistic with your holdings. I think every person on this forum have a bag with alts, from the ones that are under a cent to the ones at the top. I am positive about future of crypto, and I strongly believe that alt season will come eventually, of course we can't know when will it happen and which alts will go up, so it's on us to try to predict that and fill our bags with the right coins.
