What will happen if crypto vanishes overnight or due to some or the other reason if crypto becomes inaccessible to public? I know this does not make sense as crypto will not vanish but still what if it happens? What about those huge chunk of investments made by whales and other investors?

Honestly, I used to harbour this thought when I joined the crypto industry in 2017 and it used to scare the hell out of me because it meant all my effort would be in vain. Well, I understand a bit now how it works. Crypto won't go away, at least not Bitcoin. We are likely to see tokens and coins become worthless but jot that the entire industry will be wiped out like in a tsunami.

If the Internet goes down, I'd worry more about hospitals, transport, food and water than I would crypto.

This is a more sensible thought as it's more humane than making money.

Sad to say but it will, cryptocurrency is a limited supply of money in a digital assets, when that supply runs out, it will also going to vanish in emptiness with no value and we can't do anything to revive it, we just go for another technology in which it will surpass the cryptocurrency.

Those will become useless, it will exist only in the internet and no one will be able to use it because once it vanish or rather I should say devalued by time, we can't do anything about it but to accept the fact that nothing exist in this world forever, like us, cryptocurrency have its own time limit to coexist with us to help us in our everyday lives.

In my own opinion, it will take long before cryptocurrency will vanish because there are now a lot of countries who legalizes crypto as currency. But if cryptocurrency will really vanish, sad to say that all of our holdings or our investments in crypto will be useless, and it will be very difficult for us to recover all.of those money.

People forget that no matter how much money vanishes from the world there is more printed out every single year by the federal banks of nations which means no matter how much money is lost during something like a "crypto vanishing" there will be more made available soon afterwards. Maybe it would make some people poor or maybe it will make some people go bankrupt but the world will continue turning like nothing happened in general.

We have seen Venezuela for example going so poor (and I mean seriously poor) there were people dying out of starvation and national weight dropped significantly on average and everyone was lighter because even if you didn't die out of starvation you were definitely starving or hungry. What happened? That nation is still there and it still has people in it. Crypto can't make the world any poorer than "dying out starvation" level.

That's quite impossible to be happening. I think the only reason of vanishing of crypto is whether the cut of the electricity over the world or just the end of the internet which I think it's impossible, but in that case a lot of people will freak out and trying to restore their investment of crypto on the internet.

The disappearance of the Internet means that the world's financial system is attracted. The Internet cannot disappear anymore. If a meteor doesn't hit the world, the internet won't disappear. They will not disappear indirectly in Bitcoin or Blockchain.

I think you are not realizing the extent of the question that you are asking, if cryptocurrencies were to disappear and vanish as you say then that means that we do not have access to the Internet or to the electric network not only in your community but in the whole world, and at that point in time we will have way bigger problems than cryptocurrencies vanishing, at that point no one will care and will be worried about their own survival and while such a scenario could happen it is not very likely.

sudden lost of massive hash power could also lead to blockchain not functioning properly and probably will take a really long time before adjusting after 2000 block. just imagine if today is the difficulty is really high then at a sudden the next day the hash power just around 2% left and the difficulty still stagnant at the really high level. it could potentially cripple the blockchain for some serious moment if it really to happen.

This will not happen. It is impossible for cryptocurrency to just vanish overnight.

But supposing it will happen the scenario would be simple. All their coins are gone. It does not matter whether they are whales or not. If cryptocurrency vanishes, everyone who has it will have nothing. But they will do anything to revive it for sure.

I can’t even imagine that happening, so I don’t really know what answer I’m going to give you. Some people have also said that the only way that can happen is if the internet is disabled, lol… seriously, who would be so dumb as to do that? And who can even do that, like, take out disable internet for the whole world? So that as well can never happen.

But assuming it happens, there is still nothing you can do than to forget about your coins and you know that as well, it’s just like storing your Bitcoin in a USB Flash drive and then all of a sudden you lost it so there you have it, there’s nothing you can do, because your coins are gone for real, this is the only scenario that we know for sure is likely to take place and not this -- what if crypto vanishes thing, lol.

Exactly, if entire web goes down it will be chaos everywhere around, not just in crypto. But when web goes back up again crypto will continue its journey like nothing happened, power of datas, you just need to keep your private keys safe.
Crypto is here to stay, I think many people see that clearly. At this point chances are very low for that to happen, and with time they are getting lower and lower. And this fud threads are nothing new, I remember the same threads from years ago when bitcoin price was under 200 dollars, I even can say that back then there were much more topics about crypto end, but as we can see crypto is still here.

But dont worry too much about this kind of scenario, it wont happen overnight or even if it happens in the future still we have plenty of time to recover our investments because im sure there's a news that will circulate for people to become aware about it.

Nothing will happen as there are very few things dependent on crypto. Ten years ago there was no crypto and ten years after its launch, we are seeing crypto mostly on exchanges and for investment purpose only. There are very rear chances of crypto elimination altogether but the majority of sh*t coins will vanish very soon.

There is nothing to do but just complain and accept by forcing yourself to endure the bad events and losses if they suddenly occur. People who join crypto recently wouldn't know about this but there was a period when bitcoin was actually considered possibly dead.

That was the time when it went from 30 dollars to 3 dollars and honestly 3 dollar back in those times meant that bitcoin could have been bought (mostly) by some rich folk which would mean they would have millions of it and they could have crippled the economy and price would never take off since they would have power to sell how many they want to keep it low if they wanted to and we were afraid governments could get together and do something like that.

Thankfully they didn't do it and we are fine right now (even tho there are still too many crypto whales) but it was a serious threat that scared us for a while that was actually possible.

Your question is so strange, if crypto disappears it means there is a logical reason for the loss, there could be no internet connection or anything. Investors and whales will certainly be relaxed with this, just as when you experience a disruption in the bank or the bank is under maintenance, it only disrupts the sustainability of the business that you do.
