I wouldn't try to think of how it will happen but definitely many people will be pissed. Especially if those people kept a large portion of their savings in crypto. Particularly affected would be people that saved most of their money in bitcoins waiting to sell them and them move abroad. The only way it could "vanish" is if the entire global internet system went down, and thus miners and nodes could not connect. But of course the whole point of the internet is that it's designed to always stay up even if parts of it get destroyed (data is just routed through a different path).

190 billion $ is really not too much for a financial market. So if it collapses, it does not affect too much of the general situation of the world, this market is very small compared to the stock market of gold and minerals. Honestly, I used to harbour this thought when I joined the crypto industry in 2017 and it used to scare the hell out of me because it meant all my effort would be in vain. Well, I understand a bit now how it works. Crypto won't go away, at least not Bitcoin. We are likely to see tokens and coins become worthless but jot that the entire industry will be wiped out like in a tsunami.

There is no way we could avoid it if it happens anyways because cryptocurrencies being decentralized gives us no way to track those and also there is no centralized party authorized behind the cryptocurrencies. When Mt.Gox collapsed, Bitcoin was just a toy. Back in the day it was like a casino as no one could expect or even hope how things were going to turn out in some 5 years. I guess it's impossible to tell in advance. As we can find that out only through empirical evidence (as in hindsight). More specifically, we could arrive at a very strict and robust figure but only after crypto has either collapsed completely (read, it disappears entirely like it was 2007) or gone down so much that the margin of error becomes statistically irrelevant

The worst possibility could be the demise of an internet connection, but what kind of thing that causes the internet to fail worldwide, that's pretty much impossible. I've had similar nightmares before, and what I console myself with most of the time is: Am I even real? What if I disappear tomorrow or wake up not remembering my entire past like it disappeared?

The truth about virtual investments is that it's risky, involves rigor, and intellectual stamina. If you are talking about the famous dude from Canada who has sold his house in 2014 for 600 bitcoins (he made quite a noise around the forum at the time), it was not his home. He inherited from his parents if I'm not mistaken. Then Bitcoin crashed below 200 dollars, and some people were making fun of him, while others related to him. But ultimately he turned out a winner as he just kept his coins, and it paid off handsomely at the the end of the day. Don't know what's become of him lately, though. Anyone?

Crypto never vanish because all around the world its not possible to vanish the power or remove the internet accesss fully from this world. There are millions of investors who are earning from crypto and they are saving their money from other people using crypto investment so crypto will never get vanish but it will get stronger with passages of time, its getting more demand with time.

If the vast majority of altcoins disappear that will make Bitcoin stronger

Quite a lot of people lost their savings in shitcoins, and it is not unlikely that more are going to lose in the future in all varieties of scams under whatever names. They wouldn't if they weren't so greedy and invested in Bitcoin and top altcoins instead. So the point is, if there are only a few strong and robust coins remaining which pursue different purposes and occupying different niches, it will make the market stronger overall

What will happen if crypto vanishes overnight or due to some or the other reason if crypto becomes inaccessible to public? I know this does not make sense as crypto will not vanish but still what if it happens? What about those huge chunk of investments made by whales and other investors?

then just like all businesses mate,everyone will be under Bankruptcy of course,you have already mentioned that Crypto will be inaccessible so how can investors do some move to cover all their money?
though i am sure before this comes to happen,there will be leakage to all whales that they need to full out immediately their investments because only Strong country can make this scenario happens.

but please let us not talk about this things while the market is on Bearishness because this adds negativity to those in losing status now.
