You are right, it is impossible for us to predict the prices of ETH in 2020 because the company should release the ETH 2.0 which will help the ETH coin to boost its price. We don't have any specific date about the development, so it is impossible for us to predict the prices of ETH.

But somehow I'm not really optimistic about that change. I know we are disappointed with the current ETH price trend, in fact, some investors leave ETH for Bitcoin cause they'll find out that ETH never been hot and aren't growing.
If ETH will show some big jumps next year, it probably more investors will consider back again. Not looking to have another ATH but just only it hopes to have some price improvements.

After the 2 years of bear market for altcoins especially for ETH, I think people will stop expecting that ETH will reach to $1,000.
I am not saying all of us but maybe majority of us because we see how it struggle and we just want a price movement that would result to recover.
Maybe a slow movement but not a pump and dump would help and with that I am not expecting it will happen if bitcoin will not reach at least $15k.

yeah $1000 in the next year or in 2020 is look good for ethereum price. many people predict that ethereum can reach $1000 in the next year because people thinking that halving happen. but keep on mind that many factors to ethereum price reach $1000 such bitcoin have to reach $15000 then bull run happen etc

I'm loving each and every day that people are giving up and entering capitulation mode. For me, though, I'm just wishing we'd get it over with and totally kill off speculators by bringing the price all the way down to even 3% of ATH, which would be just over $42.

Everyone's saying 2 years is a long time, but these are guys who think 2 years is a lifetime.

There's no specific price to mention here mate, and I don't bother thinking about that so called ATH for now. Price improvement has been trying to initiate a good catch, but still it was falling down. Due to several matters that affected the market, we've experienced a lot of difficulties this year.

As long as Ethereum is existing within the cryptocurrency market, there is a possibility for it to still recover and do further improvement in terms of its price. Probably, after the Bitcoin halving that will happen in the year 2020, Ethereum will be one of those coins that will also experience the uplift in terms of Altcoins because surely with that upcoming event, a wave of potential investors as well as newbies will be interested into getting engage into the cryptocurrency due to the upcoming popularity of cryptocurrency once the halving take its after effect that will boost up the encouragement for the individuals to better know crypto in which after Bitcoin, Ethereum is the one of the well-known crypto in line. I see ethereum price peaks occur in 2017, of course most likely the peak event will occur again in 2020, inevitably halving day will provide a strong impetus for eth to reach bullish prices in mid 2020, and I am personally very optimistic if eth prices will be able to match or even exceed the highest eth prices in 2017.

If we want to look back two years ago in early January, ethereum was very powerful and could move freely without being affected by any situation. is it possible that 2020 will be a milestone in change like it was two years ago? a lot of hope is very much aimed at ethereum, hopefully it can be realized and many will be happy and at least a lot of altcoins are boosted. just waiting when that happens.

Have you heard about the ethereum 2.0 update that will be done early next year? but the reforms that occur I don't think will make the ethereum market growth so visible. this is just a system change from ethereum, not an attempt to increase market demand. but we still pray that with renewal there will still be an increase in prices.

Ethereum has very big emission of coins (2 ETH reward every 15 seconds). If they will not decrease reward they'll have huge inflation and decrease of the price. There are no investors at the moment if you compare situation with 2017. That's why Ethereum developers are obliged to change their policy in 2020. I don't know if the price of ETH will rise, but I'm almost sure that in 2020 they will begin transition to PoS.

I don't see anything special in investing in ETH because the coin has been in a downtrend for the past year and hasn't had many major updates for the investment. Currently, I have avoided this investment because the more I hold ETH, the chance of making my profit will be very low. There aren't too many chances for ETH to reach 2000$. For me the real value of ETH is about 50 $, so I won't expect too much in the future of ETH. Although ETH is the number one altcoin in this market, I believe in 2-3 years it will be defeated by other altcoins. In 2020 I believe that ETH will soon drop below 100$ again before a new bull run begins

I have never worried if eth prices will fall because eth is an altcoin that has the second largest capitalization in coinmarketcap at this time, so, most likely will experience price increases again when market conditions begin to experience price stability again, especially if there is a bull run bitcoin of course  a little will not push eth prices up slowly. So for those of us who holds eth as an investment asset, there is no need to worry too much if current eth prices are falling in price.
