Likewise, it is to think also that we have a market trend changes next year especially when halving is done. Not quite to say that Ethereum will skyrocket but hoping it looks the same. After the 2 years of bear market for altcoins especially for ETH, I think people will stop expecting that ETH will reach to $1,000.
I am not saying all of us but maybe majority of us because we see how it struggle and we just want a price movement that would result to recover.
Maybe a slow movement but not a pump and dump would help and with that I am not expecting it will happen if bitcoin will not reach at least $15k.

with developments this year for crypto it is in a pretty bad shape and I agree with you that you cannot predict the price that will occur. but a sense of optimism must remain that crypto will return to excitement, seeing the trend when early last year 2018 ethereum was quite good and actually moved better but unfortunately did not continue for long. I hope that incident can be repeated again, we are waiting for the improvement.

$400 is very likely in 2020, but a lot depends on two things: whether the Ethereum hardfork will be at the planned moment and will succeed, and when the bull run will come for the Bitcoin price.

But the ever persistent question is when? All I know for the conditions of Ethereum recovering back to the $500 level. The first condition is that Bitcoin breaks the ATH again. Now that is a tall order when everyone is shorting and dumping Bitcoin.

I also read an article sometimes ago about the Eth 2.0 version that it isnt feasible and will require a lot of development over time which means there's possibility of dealing with lots of bugs.
No FUD meant but i think Eth isn't the best to invest on in the year 2020.

Currently, ETH price is at 127$. ETH has not done that well this year. And the altcoin market is very much dependent on the ETH price. So what value are you expecting during the upcoming year? Is there any possibility of recovery or it will keep continuing to go down?

I'm not expecting too much but as I read many news about the bull market, I'm quiet confident that ETH will reach the level of $500 again so for me at the end of 2020, ETH price will be around $500 or higher and this is a safe prediction for me. I think bitcoin doesn't have to pass its ATH to make ethereum prices reach the $ 500 level. however we don't know the exact time, but it seems like many people are hoping for the development of ethereum 2.0. if it is positive, then ethereum prices will rise. I don't know whether the price will reach the level of $ 500 or not, but if it is driven by an increase in the price of bitcoin, then that can be achieved. it might be achieved in 2020.

Won't happen if BTC price is still under 15k. It's hard to gain more than 100% growth nowdays because crypto investors are not just like back then in 2017.

Would be nice if we really see that happen again, you know when ETH reached at that level again, the ETH tokens that are almost worthless now will have a life, so it's really important for ETH to bounce back hard, I know it's almost impossible at the current price but nothing is impossible here and even bitcoin rise from less than a dollar to thousands of dollar, it should be in our mind always.

Yes, that is true. If bitcoin prices can move and increase more than $15k, we will have a big chance for ethereum to rise to the higher price, and that means, we will make a lot of money again from ethereum. But to go that way, we need to wait for more, and we need to have patience and don't sell the ethereum we have before the price increase more than $1000. I hope that the ethereum investors will come back to support the coin so the coin will increase again. But perhaps, some investors will think to invest their money in ethereum if the price can start to grow for a small price because they already have a bad experience before, so they need to wait for a while before they begin to reinvest.

You are right, it is impossible for us to predict the prices of ETH in 2020 because the company should release the ETH 2.0 which will help the ETH coin to boost its price. We don't have any specific date about the development, so it is impossible for us to predict the prices of ETH.
