Electrum isn't difficult to use as much as you might think! You can try to follow guides from this website. You don't have to use all off Electrum's features. Mobile and custodial walles are usually way easier to use but I wouldn't store all of my coins in them or call them completely safe.

Electrum is the easiest software wallet I guess.

Which devices wallet you are looking for? For Desktop, Electrum is the easiest one.

I have used 4 wallets listed there. Among these, Electrum was the easiest as I said above. Eclair is also a good one.

If the wallet file is not encrypted then yes. If you didn't encrypt it while creating the wallet, click on the padlock in the bottom-right corner and follow the instructions. Don't lose your seed. Anyone can use it to recover your wallet. Without it, you won't be able to recover your coins in case you lose your wallet file.

Actually, you could have an air-gap setup (cold storage) where your online computer would be used for preparing transactions and an offline computer would be used for signing the transactions, meaning that it would store your private keys. You can learn more about it here.

Be careful with malware, virus and etc. Make sure you don't carelessly click malicious software from the internet as they might install a keylogger on your computer. Especially if you use Windows. Passphrase won't protect you from that.

It should be enough if your device is clean and virus-free.
Out of curiosity, did you verify the signature of the wallet you downloaded to make sure it originates from the developer ThomasV?

Always double check the bitcoin addresses where you send funds to make sure they are identical. Don't be in a hurry. Take a moment to check what you are doing.

Yes, all the addresses listed there are yours. You can generate more if you need to. You can reuse them as many time as you want and you can spend coins from specific addresses by right clicking on them.

Are all those addresses starting with 1 or 3 /bc1.
Much suggested to use address starting with 3/bc1 which is called segwit addresses then you can save transaction fees compare using legacy address that starting with 1.

Electrum generates only native SegWit addresses (bc1...) which are still not supported by many popular services. Though one can trick Electrum into showing nested SegWit addresses (3...) which are backwards compatible.

Saw the trick and I got curious if I can do it for my existing wallet address like to switch from Legacy to Segwit or Segwit to Legacy.
I tried it with my existing Electrum wallet which I have the seed and imported it but it's not working ( I can't get into the navigation which I can select if I want Legacy or Segwit). (as I tried to create a new one: this image is only shown when creating a new wallet):

As I did before creating a fresh wallet from Electrum and generating a new seed, at first they will ask you the seed type if a.) Segwit or b.) Legacy.
I don't know if that trick is working on a new version of Electrum.

EDIT: Found out the answer, I can't do what I want to do.

You can't "convert" your existing Electrum wallet from SegWit to Legacy, you would need to create a completely new wallet (File -> New\Restore -> Standard Wallet -> Create New Seed) and then specify the "Legacy" option when asked what seed type you want to use:

you should know that an address is just a human readable format of a script that is why you converting one address to another doesn't make any sense. for example when you have an address starting with bc1 you are actually creating a script that is OP_0 <20 byte data>, but an address starting with 3 is OP_HASH160 <20 byte data> OP_EQUAL. not to mention that in some cases the data (20 byte hash) is different, one place it can be hash of public key another place can be hash of a script.

So it is definitely recommended, I use electrum as well, but for me the interface is to simple if you want a good looking wallet with a easy interface exodus is a good option as well.

Probably at this point, knowing that OP is having a really hard time getting a grip on Electrum, I'd personally probably suggest something a lot simpler like Mycelium[1] or BRD[2]; and probably move onto Electrum when OP already gets a decent grip on how wallets work. Just my 2 satoshis.
