You will not know. Ultimately Cartesi and Gate will tally all primary voters and their referrals together, according to the list of votes Gate.io will have for CTSI. Referring a friend means you add them on your referral and their total vote count will be added with yours.

You can also ask your friend for their vote count. 

Unfortunately, there is this limitation, but you may ask a Cartesi admin, when CTSI wins the voting competition for your placement and overall vote total.

Don't expect new ATH on certain coins because basically it's hard to see price movements now but I think the potential for CTSI coins is pretty good too so by going back to the highest price it will be more than the profit you have.
