Don't force yourself to get your lucky day because you were disappointed to previous result.
It is just the same as that you are trying to recover your previous lose. If you have a mindset like this then it will lead you into worst condition when you keep on losing again and again.
Always start your gamble like a new day, forget the previous lose and gamble like you are gambling for the first time anytime you want to gamble.

Sometimes the reason why we are expecting  a good run when new year because we are believing that we are starting a good day again, many blessings will be happen on the first day, and if we won in the first day of the year it will be happen throughout the year, so many of us believes if you won on the new year it will be happen the whole year , and I think it is only a superstitious belief.

If I'm on your position, I'll throw this mindset away from my head and think that bad start not always gives me bad result at the end and vice versa, good start wont give me any guarantee that I'll get good luck in the upcoming days on the year.

So you need to be careful if you want to gamble, and you can use little money to gamble. You don't have to pretend that you have huge money because that will make you forget what you have. You can take a break for a while from gambling in this new year because that can refresh your mind to think about the other thing that can help you to avoid gambling for a while.
