Because my favorite range has been taken, which is in the 8888s. I'm no TA, but we've actually seen almost negligible volume anywhere between 9k and 10k, so that line in there to me is no man's land. Things can and will heat up closer to the halving event, though probably not to the expectations we're having (thinking about Bakkt here).

All the same, I see several support lines being broken from here onwards until a 4k low in early March, before the stampede begings, doubling before 1 April, and then onwards and upwards.

Okay, so let us have a look at halving event,,, people still insist to believe that it will lead to a higher price because of scarcity and fewer bitcoins. I think anyone who actually has been in here knows it matters little if you are buying at 25 btc block reward or 12.5 block reward, we will never afford to buy so much btc that there is not enough:)

So okay, I think price will go up, but not to the point of very high regions only a few months from now.

Well, there was a rise in the price of Bitcoin months before the previous halving in July 9, 2016. It was a slow yet more or less consistent growth. However, the tip was reached almost a month before the actual halving was implemented. From then on until months after its implementation, the price was moving downward. Right now, we are at the $7,000 range and still months away from the next halving. I suppose there will still be an increase that would probably reach my prediction price around April Fool's Day. And since the actual halving implementation will be more or less a month later, the price will be moving downward from that point onward.

I would like to stay bearish than being neutral at the moment and I guess the bitcoin would be staying in the price level of $6250-$6300 at April 1,2020.

Though I am neither a technical analyst in guessing bitcoin prices nor a trader, I would like to guess the price based on the increasing/decreasing demand of bitcoin and some of the news favoring the halving event at the current stage. For past 2 halving events (2012-2016) prices have stayed neutral before the event and bitcoin was always trading sideways. On the other hand, there is only a reduction of 6.25 bitcoin per block but the earlier events had 12.5 and 25 bitcoin respectively which is quite a bigger number which should be taken into consideration.

We can relate based on the facts such that, we won't be seeing much of an increase in terms of price and we would be seeing miners holding their bitcoin to sell them off later once after the halving has occurred. Miners should pay for the electricity and after the halving event comes into practice, they would be receiving only fewer bitcoin and in order to cover the fees they might sell their bitcoin onto a later stage. This scenario would likely keep the price stable for a specific time period.

Another scenario is that currently we aren't seeing any really good breakthroughs in the cryptocurrency space in general. The 2019 May price hike was probably driven due to the Libra hype and there weren't any other noteworthy events happening through. If in these 4 months another corporate giant jumps into the market, we might see a higher price hike but that isn't really guaranteed to happen.

I think the market will keep stagnating for a month or two, but then there will be a rapid movement, either up or down. Since the halvening is near and we've already been bearish for so long, I think the chances of going up are much higher. But I also don't think that the market will go vertical, it will be a long process, hence my prediction is not crazy high.

P.S. I'll make a leaderboard page after you will stop accepting new predictions.

Gosh looks like I'm so late to a thread that only came out today, your games are becoming so popular, OP!

Anyway, For me 1 April will just be all about Bitcoin bouncing back from lows, like a lot of people have said before.

Halving effect, people also keep saying, it is still there but becoming weaker and weaker. I will take a side that disagrees strongly here and say that we will see a super rally running up to halving. Not exactly ATH, but definitely 10k will be broken before May. So my guess is where my mouth is. Good luck all;)
