That's why there are signs that no usage of phone while refueling. Good point. I think the adoption worldwide, there's no need to create a certain coin for this, we've got third party services that allow these merchants and businesses to convert bitcoin automatically to USD if they want to. And that's what they'll charge to their customers.

This is the actual future. The tokens would equate the volume of gas and the price depends on the market price of oil. You get the amount of gas you pay for.
Though it might not be able to be used around the world, it's easily possible in a country or territory that has similar prices for oil.
But again, I'd like to imagine this be done with fast charging station than on gas as gas station would soon be obsolete.

That's possible, we can see many people use internet banking for pay bills and I think that how iy works. But use it for paying in gas station is brilliant idea and if success, pay for ticket ( plane, boat, cinema, etc ) is the next level. Agreed on this one. It would be dangerous to use phone inside our car to get the gas tank filled or near the gas station. It's not the use of phone that will ignites fire I think. But because cellphone's electrical current is enough to jolt a small detonator charge. But, if we're using a barcode, it does need a connection as well, do we not?

Not to mention the rate could changes every mins and any time. Nowadays we pay from our cards, if there's a bank that could store cryptocurrency and that one has a card like credit cards perhaps, it might work the same I think.

It's useful because not everyone has cash on their hands. It is a faster kind of  transaction. You also have a history which becomes a document of your account to ensure that your funds are sufficient. Through this people might earn more too since people work in cryptocurrency networks. The security is great which means you have a lesser chance of being scammed.

I agree these days, need of transportation is everywhere as harvesting (and manufacturing) and its consumers are not at same places hence requirement of transportation has been wildly increased but in my country fuels are available for various mobile payment apps. Not just one or two apps being accepted but each one everyone and if I remember correctly in recent times I noticed such a list which was saying more than 10 apps being accepted there. I was thinking like one day I will pay here with my cryptos.

Moreover, adopting cryptos by fuel industry definitely will boost awareness of cryptos. But, I guess first we need internet based market giants to adopt cryptos. of course, because this triggers a fire or explosion, therefore the filling technology must be more sophisticated so as not to avoid the explosion, maybe the fuel storage distance must be further from the filling place or there are new discoveries about this

I fail to see why this would propel people to start using bitcoin, or other decentralized cryptos.

After all, the token is issued by a centralized entity. Even if people are rewarded with potentially discounts or whatnot by using these tokens as opposed to paying in cash at the register, it is unlikely that it will translate into grassroot adoption of other, completely separate decentralized tokens and coins.

I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing, but if it does happen, even if it's by some big corporation like BP, the benefits are overstated.

The second problem with gas refills is signal sensitivity. if using a card maybe the community is more amenable to what is provided by a local bank. As I know it, we are not allowed to use telephone and radio equipment at petrol stations. So your idea is not feasible to carry out, which could endanger the lives of petrol buyers and employees there. But in the future I believe that cryptocurrency will be used so we can pay for other items

Why is it not paid with fiat money via electronic wallets? Even now e-wallet apps are still offering promotions by paying on their wallet systems. So tell me why do I have to use crypto, a coin with expensive transaction fees and need many steps to make a transaction? I haven't seen the utility of paying with crypto. But in reality there's no record of any experience where a fire ignite because of using of phone in gasoline stations but it's like a precaution because it can still happen. There are so many projects that promise something globally that way ... No one has yet succeeded. I don't think it makes sense to make such promises.

Almost anywhere in the world can be different pricing for oil. Therefore, such a project is not likely to emerge in a short time. If the OPEC countries convene and make a decision on this issue ... I am not sure if that is possible.

Yes. It's dangerous to use phones in a nearby gas station. But a workaround for this, would be to place an automated cashier before the entrance of the gas station. If you don't pay with your smartphone, you won't get entry to the station. It's as simple as that. With so many businesses and mainstream corporations interested in crypto and Blockchain tech, I wouldn't be surprised to see a blockchain-based token that would represent "real gasoline" sometime in the future. As long as there is demand for digital assets in the mainstream world, this type of business venture will be successful in the long run. This would definitely go great with government-backed digital currencies than anything else. As we enter a cashless society, the need for credit cards and physical cash will be no more. People will either use mobile devices for paying at any store, or simply an implant on their own hand.

There are various ways to do this, once the blockchain-based "gas" token is created within the mainstream world. While the idea is there, it's up to mainstream companies to make this a reality. There might be other important things to focus besides this one. But, we cannot discard the possibility it might happen sometime in the future.

That will need interconnection from whole of blockchains in the world. Remember even the cross blockchain platform is not alive yet as so many blockchains didn't give the permission for the developers to create a cross blockchain platform that connected one to another blockchain. This idea is so difficult to be real as the development is not easy caused by any blockchain has the different construction and that needs a very long time development.

All I would say is why do we need another Altcoin diversification which could pave way for another unnecessary trading or scam kind of thing if the team members run away with the money? ICOs have possibly been one of the smartest scams which were happening over in the cryptocurrency industry in the 2017-18 era. Many companies which weren't really well aware of the technology have been starting up various ICOs and has scammed newbie investors who have thought that as a way to get rich quickly. I don't really have a good solid state of opinion on majority of the stablecoins, but some are quite really good and have the proof of their fiat funds.

Why should a company create a token separately for gas when we have Bitcoin with us? Bitcoin is meant to be used as a currency and we could use them in gas stations if they really accept these currencies. All we need is the adoption and I believe they are not really far away. I think this is a very good idea to increase the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies, but this concept will be very difficult to run in my country.  currently, 90% of gas stations operating in my country are state-owned (state government business) in order to use currency crypto at the gas station then the government in my country has to legalize the cryptocurrency and until now my country's government still does not recognize crypto as a means of payment..  I think it needs a difficult struggle.

I always go by the idea of one world one coin (the primary fact behind which bitcoin was evolved). I admire the technology behind some of the major alts like Ethereum and Monero while the latter is the only alternative for bitcoin and the former is a kind of a decentralized computer. Ethereum can be used for blockchain projects but I don't get the idea of why should they be listed and traded? They can be used for the creation of blockchain based decentralized applications but Bitcoin and Monero are the only coins which can be used to dethrone the shitty fiat money.

Libra was created just to create a fake FUD among bitcoiners with facebook backing them but being advertised as a decentralized currency. So does the same goes with other so called decentralized currencies. These coins would stay for a shorter term and there would be only 3 coins in existence i.e Bitcoin for global payments, Ethereum for creating decentralized applications and Monero for privacy based transactions. If people doesn't want to get noticed while transacting, they would go with Monero and if an organization needs to create a decentralized application, they could use Ethereum for the process and certainly if common people want to transact they could use Bitcoin.

Scams should be taken into consideration as many investors have lost millions in ICOs and this why we shouldn't be favorable for creation of another coin but rather think of ideas (like LN, Schnorr Signatures) for making bitcoin scalable to quite an extent and create various apps which could ease up the bitcoin and monero transactions in gas stations. When Bitcoin's LN has a wider reach they would surely dethrone and destroy the whole ICO market and so called scalable coins (apart from Ethereum and Monero). Smart Contracts as introduced by Ethereum Blockchain may seemed fascinating in the starting but with time even Ethereum chain has shown lots of vulnerabilities. If the need arises, mainstream companies will make this happen in the future. The easiest route would be to accept existent cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum, instead of creating a new token from scratch. But that is up to the gas companies themselves.

Speaking of gas, Venezuela has launched a cryptocurrency (Petro) that's widely backed by its petroleum reserves. This is a good example of using crypto at gas stations. As of know, the country is accepting Petro at airports and some casinos. But gas stations on the country could start accepting Petros as well. In this case, the cryptocurrency is backed by the government. But it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. A private entity could launch its own cryptocurrency or Blockchain token that could be backed 1:1 to gas reserves. There are so many ways to do this, limited by a company's own imagination.

You are making it sound like it is really simple to accept bitcoin in a gas station. Since the price of bitcoin is really volatile, they will need to adjust the price from time to time which might end up becoming a nuisance. Look at the price now, it goes up and down by 2/3 percent every hour.
Using bitcoin for making those payments might cause even more problem. What if the confirmation time is taking long because of high network usage?

Well think about the public who are using a gas station. We have the influential ones and we have the low income drivers of taxis so it is similar in terms of users for any other common commodity like grocery. What is mean is that every new entrepreneurship needs to evaluate the population that is going to use the service. Are they tech-savvy? If yes then the use could be big. If no, then there will be problems in marketing the service with proper income.

I am not sure why you are pointing these points out because both of them are essentially redundant. Volatility and the amount that is at risk to volatility would not be big for an average transaction for a gas payment. Lightning network will enhance the transaction speed too.

This could work, but people won't be using crypto directly for paying at their local gas station. If we want to increase adoption of crypto and Blockchain technology in general, we need to encourage businesses, companies, and individuals alike to use crypto instead of Fiat. Maybe this will be achieved via a stablecoin instead of an ordinary cryptocurrency like Bitcoin or Ethereum? After all, crypto is known to be volatile in price at times. A company accepting crypto directly for gas may not be the most profitable solution because of the wild fluctuations in price across the crypto market.
