Depending on the price that was set and the popularity of the alt, waiting for another trader to take your sell order could take forever. Of course this kind of happenings is kinda weird because some of the project owner will try to manipulate the price of their tokens even if there are no volume in any exchange.

This kind of tactics can be done only by the exchange by giving a fake volume even if there are no demands or buying options. If you are holding a tokens and you see this issue then its better that you should give up and forget that holdings as you can't get a single bucks from a token that has no demand.

Stay careful in choosing altcoin, maybe the developers do a lot of work in accordance with the targets they have achieved because there are many altcoins and some new projects have high token prices but have a small trading volume,there is a lot of price manipulation when we trade in the crypto market having a low trading volume,but if altcoin is listed in a good exchange like Binance I think this situation might not happen.

Just like what happened to my 760K altcoin. I don't want to rename it because it was a shit already. That altcoin supposed to be 1500 usd because when I saw it on MEW tokens, it was really high. But I couldn't believe before that the price was just fake volume. There is only a buyer of that coin that triggered the price. However, after that there is no more pump until today. The coin is really dying. And I think admins and developers are gone in the telegram chats before 2020 entered.

I think a altcoin with a high price but no trading volume is not worth holding. If it is truly valuable and recognized, its transaction volume will be very large.

Just bullshit when have higher price coin but no volume transaction, how come we can get much profit although coin have higher price without can't sell our coin, we can earn our profit with altcoin have lower price because not have chance for making you get profit without have volume transaction, maybe just some one buy little coin with lower price only.

Never mind projects without volumes in this market because those projects have no real investors. The prices displayed are driven by the project dev team in order to attract investors, and certainly those are scam projects and if you invest then you will definitely never get a profit. Look for altcoins that have volume and have big community, those are the good altcoins and deserve investment

I wouldn't hold that coin whether its a high price if it has no volume. That's a pure manipulation and only newbie will fall into that trick as most of the traders or investors look for volume first if its high or not. If its low then they just move on and find another gem on the way. Just always remember that volume is always the most important thing when finding a good coin.

This is an old thick in trading that a lot of people do or even companies in their new token, to make it look like the token have a high price in the market what they were going to do is do a lot of transaction in a high price but very low in volume, If you do this the transaction in a certain exchanger would look like the token have a high price in the chart since the token have bin buying in selling at a high price. A lot of people do this to fake the price of the token in an exchanger so that they will be interested in the token.

Yes, I have seen some coins that have high prices but no volume. After holding the coins for a long time, it looks very bad when there is no volume of these coins. So I think holding a coin for too long is too risky. So I always try not to hold coins much longer. Trade as fast as possible. Because I don't want to take a risk. If the price is high, but if the volume is not good, then those coins can not get many benefits.

That is risk we must avoided, actually we just need to be aware with newcomers token or coin, especially no one backing up them or they can't be use in real case. The team of project can manipulate the price as well, they can set high prices but only them bough it, so this is one of the reason why no demand but high price.
To get profit from holding altcoins, we can ignore them and focus with famous tokens and coins only.
Don't be greedy when someone offering you that will earn more profit. You knoe that is marketing tactic, and its not truly come yet.

This is good information. There are lots of projects who are thinking that their coins are too good for the public as it has gone high in price but with almost no volume at all. Then they announce fund raising plans believing that they will reach their target. Its terrible.

Of course so much risk in holding now especially those coins that no real use cases, no project idea,  and no working product because all those coins will be die when bitcoin bull run start.  
So my only advice is study the coins we want to buy and and its good to buy only reputable coins because i think this is sure to increase price.
