Exactly, if a token price surges and no one is buying the token is a waste of time for holders. What moves the market is liquidity and volume on exchange. If a coin has no volume price will definitely fall back to where it is.

If the price was too high but having not enough volume there might be a wrong thing there because a low volune implies that there are no real buyers or the oump was been heavily manipulated. ignore those pumps unless you can make or know how to make profit on it.

sometimes there is a restriction on prices or there is manipulation too. but it needs further investigation to find out, because there must be a reason behind it.
but for me it is better not to invest in it because a small volume can happen dumping quickly too.

I can feel that, so from now on don't always depend on tokens like that. usually such tokens will not last long in the market especially the problem of trading volume. we can see that many new tokens generated in 2018-2019 have high sales value but have no trading volume at all. this feels very annoying to me personally.

Holding token/coin for too long and seeing that the market is green yet there is no trading volume of that token/coin in the market is so disappointing and depressing. Such coins can be considered as trash coins and are not worth holding. No such good project will come to that point unless that project failed and are not even true from the very beginning.

If the platform of the project is running and the developers are working their way to the best to give value to the project and it seems that they will fulfill their promises and still the coins is pending to gain the value then waiting for more longer for that coin is not bad but will give a good profit to the holders in the future. While if the developers of a project are escaped and none of them come to interact with the users of the project then holding that coin may not give enough profit but an altcoin season can give some pump if the future of the coin is still doubted. There are other coins the developers of which are declared as scammers their coins are just the useless shitcoins.

Today the altcoin market is becoming colder. Investors do not focus on altcoins and only focus on bitcoin because halving is coming. I see a lot of good altcoins and the quality is still working as due to market conditions so their volumes are not as good. In 2019 when the price of BTC went up to 13k USD, many altcoins never made it beyond doing 50% - 120% pump. So I don't think it will make much difference in price if BTC goes beyond that in 2020 but I agree that the low volume will not matter if the price increases as no one to sell to

Maybe that coin is already dead by now, or someone hoard to much number of units of that. But I think it is already because it is deas by now. Whether the coin is still circulating even it has a low price , you may see the volume on it, it strange that your coin has no volume in the market, sooner or later I think it will be delisted tol in the market.

Now many tokens like that have been on the market for a long time but the volume on the exchange did not exist, surely it will eventually disappear in the market because it will be deleted on the grounds that the daily trading volume is inadequate.
I will not hold a token with a low volume because it is risky that someday the altcoin season will dump again and it will have no value.

Yes it is true, that holding tokens with low volumes is more risky and it could ultimately end up costing us and I personally would prefer to invest in top coins rather than coins with low volumes because I personally do not want to taking too much risk which could later be bad for me and I prefer to play it safe.

My question is how you got the token, if it’s a token you bought from an exchange, then you can as well sell it back to them. Unless it’s just a coin that you got from airdrops and events like that and they happened not to be on any exchange, then everything has turned to waste.

If a coin can’t be traded then it’s as good as useless because you’re just holding digits and not real money since there is no way you can actually pull out the money. The main reason most people are investing their time and money is because they need profit and when a coin can’t fulfill that, then it should be abandoned.

that's a classic reason dude, when you are wanna doing a trade and you just need to see the fundamental, search the bottom point and then join in the market. Liquidity is an important reason too that needs to be determined before try to look at the fundamental of coin. Low rank will always bring you to the big risk and this is a common thing.

Well, holding doesn't always have a good outcome, mostly it may did, but it is what it is now. Even if the coin/token you're holding is from a good project and a good developers behind them, things doesn't always go as planned. If the alt has a high price but no volume, well, well, you need to cross-check that alt thoroughly.

so many cases of fraud in ICO projects, and finally no one will support it. with its high value and small volume, obviously this is a game, don't follow it if you expect a good return. and now IEO is more feasible to invest than ICO is not giving hope

Information like this is a must to understand if you are new to this business, scam developers are waiting for people to invest inside the project that they've created then automatically dumped the coins and leave unaware investors to be trapped. Only to realized that there's no future progress and
will never received any support, The invested money will be stuck and never to receive any benefits.

In my opinion, this kind of event is not new because so many ICO projects have events like this and this is one of the team's strategies in playing the game.This also makes investors afraid of investing in ICO/IEO

Trading volume is often never accurate and before investing you need to pay attention to the liquidity of the coin because if it is not possible to sell, then the project will be very risky. In fact, there are thousands of coins like this in the market and you need to stay away because the risk will be very high if you choose to invest. Personally, instead of looking for those coins, I will invest in top 10 coins in this market.
