Will 2020 be ETH's biggest year yet?

I really like ETH, I have a lot of faith in the future of ETH, but if you look at the reality, it's unlikely that ETH will grow much this year and it's unlikely that anything wiljavascript:void(0);l show the grandeur.

We can hope ethereum can increase again after getting dump for a long time, and like many others said that this year would be a good time to grow back and hit the highest price. We can wish that this year, ethereum will get more investor who will invest their money to the ethereum projects, especially ethereum project wants to release the update in this year. So the chance for ethereum to increase is wide open, and it is a matter of time to see ethereum will increase later.

Etherum already have a number of benefits which includes deploying smart contracts onto the etherum blockchain, etc which has already made etherum be one of the most popular coin and also a number of newly launched projects have already launched their tokens on the ERC20 network which indeed is etherum network.

Etherum will go through major development which everyone here is talking about and that would be the major reason why we could expect a high pump in the price of etherum. In this year, a lot of coins have started showing us a significant growth including XRP, ETH, etc which is a good sign from the markets and we could sooner expect the bull runs to arrive.

ETH will not grow in price this year, it will start to recover with time and after a while will grow in price very much.

This year is said to bring something exciting for the price of each altcoin because of the halving event. Ethereum has possibilities, no doubt here. The fact is, Ethereum is not doing well since 2018, but every year we expected high and called this year will be Ethereum year, but we were wrong! If the Bitcoin bull run comes, if Bitcoin price crosses 20K USD, then yes, Ethereum price will be growing highly as like other coins! But Truly I don't believe this year will be the biggest for Ethereum! I think Ethereum lost the momentum that's why last year when the Bitcoin price was near to 14K USD, ETH price was 330$ only!

That's certainly true, mate. Ethereum has lost its luster mostly because of the decay of ICOs within the mainstream world. After all, ICOs were the ones which triggered most of the demand for Ethereum across the crypto market. With heavy regulation on the Blockchain industry, most ICOs experienced a full crackdown from the government. Now the next biggest trend for Ethereum would be the implementation and adoption of STOs (Security Token Offerings) and IEOs (Initial Exchange Offerings). But even the most prominent companies in the mainstream world haven't adopted Ethereum for their own benefit yet.

We'll have to wait until Ethereum upgrades from PoW to PoS, to see a drastic change in its performance. Only then, adoption will increase resulting in higher prices over the long term. In the meantime, Ethereum will only rise in price if Bitcoin does. A Bitcoin price of over $50k could make Ethereum worth $1,000 or more. This, coupled with several upgrades to the ETH blockchain, could make the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in existence today. For what we know, Ethereum has done remarkably in development and innovation over time. Maybe this could be the year of Ethereum, if devs decide to adopt Casper PoS at a full extent. Otherwise, you could expect ETH to stale both in price and adoption within the mainstream world.

Nonetheless, time will tell us what will be the outcome of Ethereum's developments in the Blockchain industry. If its competitors manage to stay ahead of the game, then Ethereum's existence could be at risk as we know it. Ethereum needs to quickly scale for the world if it wants to catch up with its competitors in order to provide a better solution for the development and execution of decentralized applications for the whole world to enjoy. I like your optimism, I am an ETH holder and would like to see such numbers. But given the number of coins and the already huge capitalization of ETH, this is very unlikely (~ $300). At the moment, I’m even thinking about getting into a short position, such price movements must necessarily be accompanied by correction.
As for the price of a thousand dollars, this is an idea completely divorced from reality. It seems to me that even if traditional banks begin to stack ETH and participate in Defi  such levels will not be achieved.

Btc price influenced in mostly top ranking altcoins. Btc touched 10k$ this is positive impacted in cryptocurrency. Overall ETH,BCH,BSV are big pump for btc. ETH investors will receive huge profits, who's waiting long time and confused about future. Those investors bought eth in cheap price market. 500$ is easy to touch in the year, 800$ is my hope end of the year.

That, we cannot be certain of right now. But the upgrades and updates that are on the pipeline for Ethereum within the year are great enough, at least as per their designs, to probably steer the price until the 4-digit level. PoS is well anticipated. Sharding is also upcoming. Ethereum will become much faster with the upcoming developments. All eyes are on it. 

I also heard that the developer will delay this development a bit, and the reason is not clear, because there are too many tokens using the network, so this interferes with the development, or they really did it on purpose, until Q2 this year.

EOS, TRON, and Cardano are much more scalable than Ethereum with faster transactions, and in some cases, no fees (especially DPoS chains like TRON and EOS).

Perhaps you're right and the team decides to implement PoS on Ethereum by July this year. It will coincide with its 5th anniversary becoming an exciting event in crypto land. But rest assured that if this year there's no improvement for ETH, people's interest into the cryptocurrency will continue to decline. And if this keeps going, you could expect ETH's market share to decline paving the way for its competitors to take over its second place in market cap. I hope that I'm wrong and this would turn out to be the biggest year for ETH yet.

In the meantime, prices are still below $1k per ETH. You could easily accumulate Ethereum until the time comes to sell it. With a PoS version of the Ethereum blockchain, people will buy more ETH than they will ever sell. After all, the Blockchain will reward hodlers most. The more ETH a person has, the more the reward will be. While I'm not quite fond with the unlimited supply of ETH (which leads to inflation), it has still managed to retain its value within the mainstream world. The dev team could easily decide to implement a hard cap on ETH's supply if the need arises.

Nonetheless, there's no denying that Bitcoin's halving will have a positive effect over Ethereum's price across the market. This, combined with the PoS upgrade, should make 2020 the biggest year of Ethereum yet. Just my opinion

my honest opinion? ETH is doing some things right but I have already said several times that I don't see a new ATH.
the ICO hype a long time ago was the highlight of ETH and it will probably stay that way.
would like to fool me as I already own several ETH but I am afraid that the altitude flight will not come as expected.

Yes,,, correct. ICOs made Ethereum popular but they also were responsible for everything bad that befell ETH after the boom. But we take some lessons from Bitcoin in the early days when everyone thought it was just gambling and dark markets,,, and to be fair at some point early on it was a lot of bitcoin gambling! From adversity comes oppportunity so let us see ETH 2.0 and what it offers.
