Will 2020 be the year Ethereum asserts it's dominance in the Altcoin space or are one of the contenders poised to take the Altcoin crown?

I think Ethereum will still be the king of altcoin and maybe this year Ethereum will dominate again after the launch of Ethereum 2.0, I still believe Ethereum will still benefit its holders so that what they hold so far has not been in vain.
We see what happens with bitcoin, then ethereum will also follow in its footsteps.
There are some good altcoins but the most important one in my opinion is Ethereum.

It will not as the top performed for this year is bitcoin fork coins. You can try to take some sources to get the best comparison about that. Look at BCH and it was always getting a huge increase when the price of bitcoin is starting to grow.
Ethereum is still under the best performance of the bitcoin fork coins. There is no a huge increase to the price of ethereum. Im not even seeing if that was getting more than 10% increase just in a day.

There's no assurance for what coins will take the crown this year, FUD still gather more influence to lots of cryptocurrency followers. It was too hard to predict a certain coin to aim at certain performance. Ethereum community has the highest potential growth, since most of coins under its contract was still on the recovery process.

At the moment Ethereum is still the leader and hopefully it continues till the end of this year. I remember last year it was dethroned by XRP for few months and I expect the same to happen this year too. XRP being a centralized coin is gaining momentum very fast.

Binance coin is another altcoin that can give serious competition to Ethereum in the future.

Staking a minimum of 32 ETH sholu yeild a nice passive income and at todays prices it is hard to pass up on the opportunity to buy cheap. I think this will lift the price if ETH, a prime example is DASH.

my prediction etherum will continue to dominate altcoin this year and for years to come. etherum market cap is far from the others, besides that the volume and liquidity of etherum is also more potential. coupled with the fork that will be carried out etherum, I think it will also greatly influence the dominance of etherum.

ETH will have a lot of updates this year, they are performing well and are developing about ETH 2.0 this year, even though they are currently testing it, I'm not sure something takes the crown from ETH to be the top 2 coin marketcap, even if someone has to replace ETH it's impossible BCH or BSV at least xrp become quite a strong competitor for ETH there

ETH is facing a lot of problems, delays and inhouse fighting, i used to think Ethereum would do well, not any more.

Tezos has a lot of support and trust in the crypto community, i see that doing very well.
Currently   0.00016327   $1.31 MY prediction would be easy x10 from here $13 to $30 within 12 months.

Along with many staking coins, i think Staking combined with privacy alts are going to have a good year.

A little, well established coin from 2014, thats never stopped working and self funded, no ico and no premine is $IOC (bittrex) it touched over 100k at the height of the last Bull run and currently only 670 sats.   That scream bargain to me.  Big on privacy, storing date on blockchain, unique OOAK wallet.

and i personally like $ADA  only 455 sats. 

These low value alts (under 1k) are easy to pump and do x10.    This is where the easiest gains are made.  (except for XRP  )

Probably the one that will increase in terms of marketcap and technological advancement this year is no other than ethereum. The team already confirm that eth 2.0 will be seen in action on 2020 and that will be a key to a more development of the project. As you can see more projects are likely to die if the bearish sentiment continue and only major one such as eth can survive with this stance considering many factor. Just buy eth for now while still cheap.

I voted for EOS, Just because I think people will start seeing the value of Cheap (almost free) and fast transactions especially if you want to withdraw Crypto from your exchange to your wallet.
And u have to pay a big fee, where The fee for EOS is so low because the transaction is almost free.

Another one that should be doing good is Waves because they have their own build in exchange in the wallet, which is very easy to use, and they existed for a long time as well now.
You can easily trade Waves for other cryptocurrency's in the exchange, and they also have a few major things planned for 2020.

I see a lot of people voted for Ethereum, I think it's one of the better alt's as well but in 2017 when a lot of users started to use crypto the transaction costs and time greatly increased as well and I think that wasn't a good thing for Ethereum, however the team is always improving Eth, do you guys think ethereum will go to like 10000-20000$ range or what would be a decent price for ethereum 2020-2022?

In your list, I see ETH is the best altcoin and all the other altcoins cannot compare to ETH, which is too different. So in 2020 I believe that ETH will be the altcoin with the highest chance of pumping with upcoming events like ETH 2.0. The price of ETH is currently stable at $ 143 and if ETH can surpass $ 150 then surely we will see ETH reach the price of $ 200 very soon.

it is hard for other projects to overpower eth because it is the second biggest project after bitcoin. it has advanced technology and in the near future, they are going to implement pos that might increase the demand of the coin. even though xrp keeps tailing eth for some time, it is still far from reaching eth. I am sure 2020 eth still stands as the top performers for the altcoin. if you are looking for a potential project but it is not a top 10 cryptocurrency, then you should see theta. they have limitless potential.
