Bitbox exchange, a popular high volume exchange has decided to delist Ripple on every pairs supported. They sent an email to all their registered users and I got one shortly. I really don't have an Idea why they did it. But it certainly would be a blow for struggling Ripple.

Quote
Hello from BITBOX Team,
BITBOX is working around the clock to offer you the most convenient and trustworthy cryptocurrency trading platform.

We keep a constant watch on all coins that are being traded on BITBOX. If a coin does not meet our standards based on its performance, reliability, liquidity, or law and regulatory requirements, it will be delisted from our exchange. To protect your assets and interests, we provide sufficient notice before delisting.

The following coin and pairs will be delisted from BITBOX as they no longer meet our standards.

Coin to be delisted
-XRP

Pairs to be delisted
-XRP/BTC
-XRP/ETH
-XRP/USDT

Delisting schedule
Starting at 23:59:59 (UTC) on January 16, 2020, delisted coin and pairs will no longer be available for deposits and trades, and all unfilled orders affected by the delisting will be canceled automatically. To ensure the safety of your assets, we recommend you cancel all orders manually before the mentioned coin is delisted.

Withdrawal period for delisted coin
You have up to 1 month after the delisting date to withdraw your delisted coin holdings. (~2020. 02.16. 23:59:59 (UTC))
If you own any of the delisted coin on BITBOX, please withdraw it during the withdrawal period at the latest.
You won't be able to withdraw this coin once the withdrawal period ends.

We will continue watching listed coins, and provide you with access to the best currencies from the growing blockchain economy.

Ripple is kind of DEAD guys, crypto people investing in it should know that.
YES Ripple is making great REAL partnerships but in cryptosphere it's not about that unfortunately.
Ripple isn't good for scalping or even swing trade it for weeks, it's kind of saturate when it comes to your ROIs investing in it.

I don't think that it'll be a blow to XRP whatsoever.

The volumes generated by Bitbox is sizable but nowhere near enough to have a long term impact on XRP's future. With XRP having so many liquid markets everywhere it would take a lot of delistings to have any tangible effect, which won't happen due to the profitability of these markets to most exchanges.

It's odd for any exchange to be delisting ripple though, when it could be one of the premier coins of 2020.

Every crypto currency exchange site have there rules and regulation and the really reason why the coin was delist was not mentioned but I'm sure the coin wasnt able to keep up with the exchange rules or the team break one of their rule.
Meanwhile, i dont feel bad about the delist though because the coin dont have genuine thing to deliver to the crypto community.

Note : i will advise the OP to provide link to the news for genuine evidence next time.

Interesting. I don't have much insight into why Ripple was delisted exactly, but it could possibly be something like regulatory issues that caused the exchange to delist the coin, though I also agree with everyone else here that this one exchange likely generated a very, very small amount of total trading volume for XRP and it's not a significant loss for the XRP community as a whole. Coingecko (click for link) also shows that the exchange itself seemingly wasn't affected in any extreme way looking at volume by this change just yet.

There is another thread on this and it's becoming viral although the exchange cannot be considered a top exchange in the market, this is the first time that XRP was delisted because of poor performance because the total market of XRP contradicts their statement, I guess they just did not like XRP at all.

its that true ?
a biggest coin got delisted by exchange ? a few times ago , binance has delist BSV from their exchange and now we see bitbox delist ripple from their exchange, i wonder why ?
did ripple already have bad reputation ? but the fact, they still number 3 on marketcap.

i wonder if this has anything to do with the other drama of coins being dislisted, XMR and them
i THOUGHT it was because XMR and others were privacy coins that that drama was over tho....
XRP rubs many the wrong way, maybe the exchange just had a disagreement with the developers, exchange owners are pretty demandy about coins sometimes too, hmmm...

that's true and the news is already a week ago and it has already published by cointelegraph

https://cointelegraph.com/news/messenger-giant-lines-crypto-exchange-to-delist-xrp-this-month

I just think if ripple doesn't meet the minimum volume requirement and it is not also meet some standards that already followed by bibox. We know that bibox exchange site is owned by Line and that's why a very strict monitor already done by everyone that listed there.

If there's another big exchange like Bitbox. although I doubt if Bitbox will have an impact, that will delist Ripple then Ripple might slide down and they will struggle to stay in their position, this is very surprising, I am not a big fan of Ripple but I respect what they have achieved in the past, but it will be very surprising if they take down Eth, if they did it with Ripple they can do it also for Ethereum.

Bitbox and Bibox is different from one another.
Got attached with your post, it's true that it isn't the loss of xrp since they still have those big exchange that cater their trades. Currently
XRP is also working together with bitcoin pumped, it's not being left and continue to tail bitcoin and ETH even this exchange stop supporting xrp
pairs it won't affect that much to this project.

Ripple is the best coin at the moment and position 3 is not deterred, what is the reason Bibox removes Ripple from its trading so users must be worried if they still have XRP assets there.
Will this have a negative impact on this exchange after its deletion because I know for sure there are a lot of Ripple users at this time so this might be a decrease for Bibox itself.

I don't follow bibox but there's nothing to worry about since ripple is listed on top tier exchange and we can directly go to that if we want to sell our ripples. And if people is worried if it can have a bad effect on the price well I can say for sure it's not since this is not totally a bad news at all so let's keep our cool.

bitbox a popular and high volume exchange  ? i am not aware with that   .  i think that tag line fits only perfectly on binance  or maybe i am missing out something on the trading space since im not regularly trading anymore  .  many says that ripple is a shitcoin so its okay i guess and not really a big loss  . if im not mistaken i think i already heard that other popular exchange have also delisted ripple   .  will this be the end of ripple  ?  hmmm .

There may have been something wrong between the XRP team and the bitbox exchange. So the Bitbox exchange decided to delist XRP on their exchange, but I think it doesn't too affect the price of XRP because Bitbox is a small exchange with no volume, XRP is still listed on lots of big exchanges and there's a lot higher volume

There may be various reasons why Ripple was delisted from the Bitbox exchange, like there was a conflict between the two teams or serious problems that cannot be solved. I think the XRP team will not be discouraged because their coins have been listed on many exchanges.

Updated recently on coingecko and it's already on the bottom list.

It has already placed on the bottom list caused by that news has already released before and people have migrated to another exchange site.

Yes, bibox is one of popular exchange site right now. It will not be the end of ripple as long as the major exchange sites will never try to delist ripple from their site.

There may be various reasons why Ripple was delisted from the Bitbox exchange, like there was a conflict between the two teams or serious problems that cannot be solved. I think the XRP team will not be discouraged because their coins have been listed on many exchanges.

I don't even think it's a setback for XRP, just liek what you said they are in to many exchange, local and international, they are not on the third spot for no reason at all, but XRP should be something to worry, if some exchanges, will follow the lead of Bitbox, it's just hope that that big exchanges will not delist XRP.
