Features of a new Bitcoin?

Hi All,

I love this community and what it stands for, so im wishing to start a new project similar to Bitcoin but with some differences. What kind of features would you like a new Coin to have? As this is a community project, i will try to pick whatever features and name you guys want, please let me know.

there will be nothing like bitcoin. you will end-up making another altcoin in the cryptomarket, it is not like you are sitting at your couch and decided to beat the btc with no innovation. If you are asking suggestions from the community then this means that you are not creative enough to make a good coin with a good project.

^ Definitely right, your upcoming project will belong to altcoins. So far no one who can defeat bitcoin and yes, there are a lot of altcoins similar names with bitcoin and one of the examples is BCH(bitcoincash coin) until now this coin did not overtake Bitcoin throne. It is easy to have the name on your project but the difficulties are how to make something helpful and useful to the ecosystem.

I appreciate OP's initiative and dedication for making such coin that would be somehow different, if not better, from Bitcoin. OP, so far I don't have any features in mind because it might end up like those 95% alts that would turn into shitcoins. Probably get a unique name for it though. Do you have a team though? I think you could brainstorm it together, while hearing your thoughts from us about the idea you're having lately.

dude honestly, the interesting features have all been done already, and most of them have 25 different coins doing the same thing even...
if you have technical bandwidth to lend, you should just consider adding your talent to BTC itself, as most of these features others coins have COULD be done on BTC
its just with BTC they dont 1/2 ass things like other coins, something will need to be tested as much as possible before core will add it
sadly most would rather start yet ANOTHER shitcoin, in hopes of getting rich : /      yuck

bitcoin will remain the leader of other coins. especially until now mastering the total volume available, there are some good altcoins, but even that is far behind in terms of volume. especially even though there are bitcoin puppies, but I don't think they can match it

What elements would need for the new coin to exist?
To me, it would need to be rooted in the community at large as the main feature. What kind of demand would we have? It would have to be market-driven of course. It would also need to have its own blockchain so maybe not ETH-based token. That would also create and need to be a relevant system for payment processing to happen.
We would like to see a completely user-friendly and secure cryptocurrency with a familiar appeal too.

So youre a coder I presume. Maybe just dont use bitcoin as affiliated with your name as a starter cause it's confusing actually. You can pick a lot of good names. By the way, why you asking a specific feature? Can you handle some heavy load to implement it? If yes, then try a double consensus of PoW and PoS a hybrid mechanism that has a full scalability and good tps.

Ok I'm predicting that you are going to make a crowdfunding out of it, like all the other developers has done in the past we have thousands of coins like what you want to have that scam so many investors so give us a favor and leave this forum and do not create another clone coin for pump and dump.

Hello, Welcome to the Bitcoin community.

You can name your project whatever you want, as long as this is not a hype project just like BSV coin did that has a recent massive pumped up(IMO, obviously manipulated). The name of the project doesn't matter, the most important is how useful your project in crypto space and it will adapt to every crypto enthusiasts and investors.

yes I think so the name is not too important and the most important is the project is useful for the blockchain and can be implemented in the real world, so investors will invest in the project.

I will not ask too complicated, I just want the transaction speed and transaction time can be stable.
The issue of price will not be a problem as long as you can maintain development. Besides working with several sectors to do the MOU it will also be better.

Launching coin like Bitcoin is not so simple as you think, any project needs huge researcher and big investment and the most important thing is reliability and trust.

It is okay as long as the name will not include "bitcoin" in its name.

Like DustCoin. SupermanCoin.  
Whatever it is that will suit the feature that you will add.

We are also trying to not confuse people into buying another coin which had the name of "bitcoin". Yeah something like what Bitcoin Cash did.
We should prevent that from happening again.

i think all of the features are now going well and it's just that the development is still not so high that the use of bitcoin cannot be wider in many sectors, so what i consider more about adoption, so that the actual use of bitcoin will be really useful and can be felt by different people

I personally believe that the cryptocurrency space is saturated with diverse projects and concepts which has rendered the value of altcoin almost worthless. Several people are no longer considering the fact that they can invest in altcoin because is too rampant. My advice is that we suspend making new projects and focus on the development of the projects we have in the space.

Honestly we've had enough, every other things i wish bitcoin to have is already available on other projects like bitcoin cash (BCH) and lightning bitcoin (LBTC), we don't need anymore new bitcoin

What kind of project do you mean? for me blockchain has become the right answer for the world economy, if you want to make a new project, do you have a better idea than a blockchain that has a decentralized nature?
if so, maybe you can provide details of the new project you want to make.

Agree, if the project is made similar to bitcoin, I think investors will still choose Bitcoin because it is already trusted by investors and also has great liquidity. To create a new project, I think what is needed is which business sector has not used blockchain technology because this is one of the factors investors are interested in investing
