Today, you won't have any impact because almost everyone knows Bitcoin already. Their interest may have been already answered, and if they want to use it, they would be utilizing it or maybe supporting it. Maybe stories about how irrational your decision can be when you used Bitcoin now instead of in the future, thinking that it could increase in price in the future.

Can you have the capacity to determine how many people already have been aware of and been using it? It's possible through a survey, but you can't have solid data about it.

People tend to HODL Bitcoin more than spend it and there are not many physical or online stores available. Those that are available are only focusing on particular niches like VPN, web hosting, gambling and few travel websites.

There is not much option available at the moment.

If you want to promote Bitcoin then let it be easily accessible, we need more Bitcoin ATMs and physical stores accepting it.

With few exceptions, you wont buy many stuff from shops or online with bitcoin. There are many countries where bitcoin and other cc are ban so showing such people stuff you have bought with btc wont be of much use. People will automatically attracted to bitcoin if we have bitcoin with stable price, fast transaction rate and use cases in real life.

The word of mouth is indeed a very powerful marketing  method. I think people can find ingenious ways to share the power of Bitcoin. Like when you're in a mall with some colleagues or friends and you're at a store that accepts bitcoin you can brag to your friends by paying with BTC while the other "dinosaurs" pay with cash or cards.

I bought some headphones online with Bitcoin just to see if it worked and how easy it was.  It worked great for me and now I can tell others that I was able to buy things with Bitcoins.

Yeah, it is a good way to make people interested in bitcoin if you show or tell them that you can buy things from the internet or even some physical shop with bitcoin. But, they might have some counter questions, like they can do the same with with their credit card or fiat currency. It is your responsibility to give answers accordingly, like making them aware about the advantages and its benefits of using crypto currencies over fiat currency. Yeah, crypto currencies do have cons, make sure you let them know about this too.

Yep, it will be good to show what you can buy with BTC, whether offline/online shops. However, there are only few places that we can really spend it. Still, this is a good way to make people aware that bitcoin is here and could be used/spend.

I guess if we see big online stores start accepting BTC then we don't need to promote bitcoin by ourselves. Sooner or later many are going to discover it. But only time can tell if bitcoin are going to be adopted.

For any small or independent retailers, then simply ask them to start accepting bitcoin. They want your business after all, and if accepting bitcoin is the way to get it, many will consider it.

Perhaps I don't want my credit card company having a complete profile on me of absolutely everything I've ever bought? That's a privacy nightmare. Perhaps the merchant doesn't want to pay 3-5% of the transaction in credit card fees because it eats the majority of their profits?

Only if you are using centralized exchanges which over charge you. Trade peer to peer for a small or minimal fee, and protect your privacy and security at the same time.

Hell just widraw and convert your bitcoin into fiat and then show them the money  it will prove to them that bitcoin is real and have a real value. Buying in a shop that accept bitcoin is only a way to make it more popular and there are many store accepting it now and you can use it even in online shop. Bitcoin help them to havr easier transaction.

this is makes no sense. because people can now pay with their credit cards and they don't have to change their habits for some kind of crypto. Besides, they are using the common currency and easy to circulate, but when they pay with crypto, they have to buy bitcoin from intermediaries and pay a lot of fee. So why do they have to do that and why do they care about crypto or bitcoin? Instead of telling them by paying with bitcoin, tell them that you make a lot of money from buying and selling bitcoins. then your statement will cause attraction.

A lot of fee? it doesn't cover a lot of fee and usual transfers are only costing few centavos so I don't think it's really expensive on both sides of buyer and seller.

I don't see something wrong telling others that you have purchased a good thru bitcoin.

It's like a chicken and egg problem, there's a perception of low demand because it's hard to spend it. Most people aren't going to drive for half an hour and perhaps pay suboptimal prices just to promote Bitcoin, it's just way too burdensome, but if they had such stores nearby, they would be more likely to shop there.

Honestly, I don't think anyone would care unless it would be something really cool you bought. And judging by the name of the thread, I thought you'd at least show us something you bought with Bitcoin. I don't recall buying anything with it, apart from fiat, unfortunately. The options are limited, the places where I regularly spend money don't allow any payment except local fiat, and even though I know some places in my city that accept Bitcoin, I don't want to spend it on something useless just for the sake of buying something with it.

Thanks for the list, but it only proved my point about my city. I checked out the map, and could not see anything I use in my life which could be bought with Bitcoin there.

I have promoted bitcoin almost everywhere I got chance like with my colleagues, my friends etc but the worst is people have heard about it as a coin of darkweb. They have very much bad impression on bitcoin. That hurts. I have tried to spread the good sides of bitcoin as well but very few people likes it.

You reminded me of one of my presentations when I was in college, I talked about cryptocurrency and bitcoin. I tried to advertise to them about its benefits but the results were not what I imagined. Most people say that it looks like a scam and how to make a profit with it, they have a very bad impression on bitcoin and this whole market. It is difficult to promote many people in our lives because not everyone is knowledgeable and willing to think about it. They only care about Fiat and want it as much as possible

Yes some people will become aware of Bitcoin but still there are some who will say "What is he saying? Bitcoin what is Bitcoin" and the like.

There are many establishments right now who are aware of Bitcoin already. The only thing is that the customers are the ones who aren't aware that a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin exists right now. To be honest, I don't want to advertise Bitcoin since I feel that many knew it already. Its just they can't risk their money into an investment that is very volatile like Bitcoin. Instead of investing it on crypto, they'd rather invest it on business or other investments like stocks, bonds, etc.

I imagine it is very easy for webshops to accept Bitcoin as a alternative currency next to the normal payment methods, as a shop you dont need to keep the cryptocurrencie you can trade it for money right away if u want.
You can basicly buy anything with Bitcoin now a day and google is a great tool of finding the shops you are searching for.

Bitcoin was not created to exchange for fiat currency (euros, dollars, etc.). Bitcoin was created to be an exchange between products or services, directly. What happens is that, because its value has become excessively high, it has been used as a speculator. But we must bear in mind that it is a volatile price for companies or microenterprises. Although if today you decide to buy me a house with bitcoin, and if tomorrow the price of Bitcoin rises, then I will earn double. There are already some companies that have decided to receive Bitcoin as a payment method, they know they can earn much more in the future, because their value can continue to grow. Although it is a matter of risks, because its value can also go down and lose.
