The ICO and the token market is done and dusted and it is hard for the rest of the platforms with similar model will die off eventually simply because you cannot have a speculative market that will sustain for a long period of time and if you are smart enough make sure anyone who is holding the coin to sell off when the market rises and hold something useful.
@OP the reason no one is talking about all these token platforms is because the use case right now is zero. ETH is the major market for token creation and do we need 100 platforms with similar use case?.

A few years ago waves were very popular and many ICO were launched from the platform, many people predicted that waves would be a tough rival to ethereum. But somehow the fame of the waves is gone, even though the waves have a promising product and I think the same as the current binance.

It's true that there were a lot of ICO projects based on Waves network, but I don't remember any being successful. Of course, I realize that for such a long time bear market many projects have collapsed, but those that were created on the Ethereum network became much easier to gain popularity and some of them succeed.  Unfortunately, I do not know any created on the Waves network that would be doing well today.

All of the fork coins that are coming from the waves platform are crap. I remember WCT, Waves x, and many more and they are all become shitcoins. All of the assets were created on the waves platform become shitcoins too right now, I just try to say based on the fact that is happening right now. Sasha has made so many promise and look how many people were getting trapped on coinomat. So many scam accusations have already created for waves too.

maybe because the community is not big, waves have never been promoted. whereas in the beginning all the concepts, the waves closest to the ability of ethereum, but for some reason the waves gradually became increasingly displaced and lost their popularity and sank. in the past many people also used the waves platform for an ico project and most of them were successful but now no one uses it anymore, I don't know why.
and also I saw that in waves dex too many shittoken including in my wallet suddenly a lot of tokens appeared.

What for talking about whit wave if price keep down and never growing up to higher price, many investors have tired waiting for wave back with higher price again and many of them cut loss with wave and not give chance for holding wave and take back much profit with wave will return to higher price again. No longer interesting for this altcoin, today there are many better altcoins than Waves so this project was quickly forgotten in this market. And the current value of Waves has gone down too much compared to before, in 2020 I think Waves will be eliminated from the top 100 at coinmarketcap and will die gradually.

Waves is no doubtly one of the best project out there and they fastest dex as well but they majorly lack marketing. They have introduced the smart contract in their platform which can give slight boost but i think they must spend more on marketing rather than other stuff.

Waves is talked about enough I believe, I mean there has been so many wave related projects that it got divided a bit, people talk about wave projects as much as they talk about wave but that goes unnoticed most of the time. Wave is a decent coin that actually has a very good amount of support from its community, it has a decent price as well right now ranked at around 50th spot so I don't know what would you consider talked about enough?

For a coin that is around 50th spot, it is talked about probably more than any other coin around it. Of course it has a good enough potential to jump as high as top 40 but without something marvelous and unexpected happens, I doubt it will actually move anywhere near top 25 for the foreseeable future. For such coin, it is really cool and has a good supporters.

The only selling point for this project was the DEX but now changed to Hybrid exchange, what is new with all these features added to the platform? nothing IMO.

Waves miss its chance to be a strong exchange in the space but the team seems to me not to know what they want by diving into smart contract. No one is using their platform except some of these scam tokens.

The ATH I think was $15. I have my WAVES in the old wallet still not even claiming my Vostok tokens because it feels its a waste still for this project. I wish I have dumped it when it was still $10. WAVES is an old project but is very unproductive, if you can check the list of dapps using waves, its just too few with few users as well. You can't expect it to have value unless it gets pumped by sasha.  DEX doesn't have a volume despite it running for a long time.

I think one thing they should do is run a sig campaign here in the forum. Maybe it will remind crypto users that waves is still here. They already migrate their exchange to waves.exchange, but still they are lagging behind. They should have done the promotional programs for this new exchange as it might attract some traders who don't know that they are already centralized.

It's completely normal for people to not pay attention to a coin that has limited adoption growth and basically no fundamental improvements than what it already is.

Especially when you have your entire business model centred around being a DEX - and there are a ton of better competitors, competitors with much more adoption than them like BNB, Komodo, BTS. There is no reason for anyone to be using the WAVES platform.

So the only real demand for their coin is through speculation, and since on that front prices haven't been moving as much either, there is virtually no reason for it to rise.

market waves still show good charts. but in product terms, there are now many new platforms that might attract investors. waves lacking in promotional activities and collaboration with new projects. it does not support the strength of their market.

This is the same thing with Eth. Most of the tokens created on there are complete nonsense and won't ever be worth anything. The hype has just died down on Waves and more competitors have entered the market. Unless something new comes along with the project to give it a little boost and hype it up a bit, I'm sure it's going to continue along as any other average coin. It's not a bad project, it's just that people have moved on to other things.

It will not help a lot as the reputation of the waves platform has already destroyed. It's better if the team appears to its announcement thread and then the team must try to give feedback for the whole of the scam accusations that have already made by so many people who have been getting a big loss caused by crap management by the waves platform.
I see some people were still complaining about the waves announcement thread and there were so many negative reviews about this platform. Ths advertising campaign just will help this platform to get the new victims.
