On personnal note

I've been involved in the cryptocurrency industry for a long time. I've seen projects come and go. Earlier last year, when I saw a bitcointalk thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5122908.0) announcing a new Mimblewimble project, naturally I was excited. It offered scalability and privacy. Two attributes of a project that I was involved with early, Ethereum, that it currently lacks.

The original launch of this project was called Litebeam and the team made the mistake of posting photos that many believed didn't belong to them. Original post was flagged and received harsh criticism by the community. This was an understandable reaction and I was very skeptical. The team immediately removed the pics from the website and you can see here the team was not intentionally attempting to mislead anyone because they were labeling the pics "PSEUDONYMOUS
Litebeam Team" https://web.archive.org/web/20190321063039/https://litebeam.org/

The team has acknowledged this mistake and rebranded the project Litecash.

You can believe what you want, but I'm here to let the BitcoinTalk community know Litecash has been nothing but honest and professional. I've been part of their Discord (https://bit.ly/litecash) since launch and have had the pleasure of watching the community grow the last 10 months. The core team has upgraded their software with several updates and recently they released their version of a whitepaper (https://lite.cash/litepaper).

Litecash's mission is to become a global reward currency.

From Litepaper:

"Imagine getting small amounts of BTC back in 2010 from your favorite restaurant for eating a $100 meal. Over time that BTC would have accumulated into a small fortune. Not only will the restaurant receive benefits from increased loyalty, consumers will have an option to redeem their Litecash (CASH) for BTC."

Big thing often come from the little but not so simple idea of solving a problem and I love to see community naturally growing around this project. Anyhow, I'm putting my credibility on the line for Litecash but you can be the judge for yourself.

From github:

Litecash is the next generation scalable, confidential cryptocurrency based on an elegant and innovative Mimblewimble protocol.

MAINNET IS LAUNCHED & ACTIVE!

****

Features

No premine. No ICO. No Founders Rewards. No developer rewards.
Initial block reward 275, halving after 1 year from start of mainnet, and halving thereafter every 4 years (ala BTC)
Users have complete control over privacy - users have complete control over their personal data in accordance to their will and applicable laws.
Confidentiality without penalty - confidential transactions do not cause bloating of the blockchain, avoiding excessive computational overhead or penalty on performance or scalability while completely concealing the transaction value.
No trusted setup required
Blocks are mined using Equihash Proof-of-Work algorithm.
Limited emission using periodic halving.
No addresses are stored in the blockchain - no information whatsoever about either the sender or the receiver of a transaction is stored in the blockchain.
Superior scalability through compact blockchain size - using the “cut-through” feature of Mimblewimble makes the Litecash blockchain orders of magnitude smaller than any other blockchain implementation.

****

Roadmap

march 2019 : Project started
June 2019 : Mainnet launch
July 2019 : Desktop Wallet App (Windows, Mac, Linux)
Sept 2019 : Project updated to 2.0
Nov 2019 : Project updated to 2.5

****

Current status

Fully functional wallet with key generator and storage supporting secure and confidential online transactions.
Full node with both transaction and block validation and full UTXO state management.
Equihash miner with periodic mining difficulty adjustment.
Batch Bulletproofs, the efficient non-interactive zero knowledge range proofs now in batch mode
Graphical Wallet Application for Linux, Mac and Windows platforms

****

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

We recently had a flood of new members asking for airdrops. Please be advised our 100 CASH bonus is for new miners only.

Litecash (CASH) isn't a erc20 token and it takes energy to produce.

If you are interested in learning to mine Litecash (CASH) you are more than welcome to join https://discord.gg/7Jvrn7

if you can get more merchants on board as much as you can, that would be much better for your app. we need more crypto to really penetrate the mainstream in terms of payment method. til now, BTC is the top cryptocurrency when you talk about payment, so a good alternative with lesser fees involved is very much welcome!

That is our very goal. Several times the idea has come up to poise ourself to be similar to the gold/silver/USD system. We would like to be able to present ourself a in a system that could be comparative, BTC/Eth/CASH example.

And we believe we are actually solving a real world problem by opening loyalty programs to a universal cryptocurrency.

Think about how many points you have accumulated that are never redeemed. Litecash (CASH) solves this.

You can read more details about our positioning in the whitepaper https://lite.cash/litepaper.pdf

take one step at a time because aiming for your goal is a life long mission. because along the way, you will be overwhelmed by the obstacles encountered and might wane your enthusiasm to pursue the project. what im trying to convey is, collaborate with one shop or merchant at a time. you cant embrace a lot of merchants in one go. if you have one good example of a shop using your coin as payment method and everything is running smoothly, that would be a nice example that you can introduce to other merchants. and everything will follow.
because if they are satisfied with your services, they can easily endorse it to other businesses.
without telling them to do so because they will voluntarily promote you to others.
and that is the power of 'word of mouth' marketing strategy!

We are happy to announce that after several months of work, we have finally secured a listing on TradeOgre.

https://tradeogre.com/exchange/BTC-CASH

As Voskcoin tweeted today, "If people focused more on the technology and less on the price, cryptocurrency and Bitcoin would be astronomically better as a whole." While I whole heartily agree with this statment, I am beyond excited to be on TradeOrge as I have used it for selling mining profits for years and holds a special place in my heart of hearts(for exchanges anyways). With that said, I also would not be upset if we saw a pump in price...just saying.

Everyone, enjoy Smiley

How about the merchants that have the potential to use your coin for payment method? Any progress on your potential collaboration? It would be great to see your coin accepted by shops. Maybe start within your location, like coffee shops or ice cream parlor???

i am wondering if this is community funded, do you have public addresses like btc donation addresses that can be viewed by public? how are you collecting funds from the community? and who is in charge of those funds? and since i haven't really seen a project to be successful if it is community funded, do you have other contingency plans that will attract crypto users to use your services? normally, the enthusiasm dies down along the way, so unless you will have consistent program to your followers, you can make this survive.
