I do not know where you heard about major altcoins losing value, All crypto currency tokens has dropped  in value, and doing remarkably well considering that we are in the bearish run.

But then, when you consider tokes such as litecoin, mixin etc, then i would say altcoins are doing great, as a trader, all you need to do is figure out an investment strategy that works well with your choices and emotions.

What do you think? I am pretty sure you have done your analysis of the market. Have you seen that the altcoins are losing its value in the long run? Did you just go through the new coins or the ones that have existed and is being being used on regular basis? What conclusion did you come to? If you haven't done all these research of your own, then please don't invest on anything. Don't rely on peoples opinion/suggestion. Do your own research. This is your money and you will be risking your money, not us. People don't really care if you make a bad investment based on their suggestion since its not their money that you are going to lose.

That's right, for a good investment you need not only a good asset (coin), but you also need a suitable time and a suitable plan. Without the last two, it will not be an investment but a hassle

the main requirement for an asset is to always move in a tiered volume ratio. This can't be considered bad even if altcoin touches ATL again, the most important thing is that the circulation of transactions is always consolidating. All altcoins experience the same thing only because dominance is currently held by bitcoin, altcoin will have its own time in the next few opportunities.

It is also important to know those supporting a project and analyze the product with its liquidity. I was surprised to see some absent project on the CMC and coingecko. It must have started with exchange delist before removal from the marketcap, coins like ICONOMI, Verisatum etc. they were on the top 100 coin on the marketcap for many months. So high marketcap does not mean anything especially for new projects.

Yes. This year is a good start for all traders and investors as btc price started the year with a higher price and eveb some good altcoins too. We should look forward into major altcoins too especially that halving is already near and that we can expect more chances of making profits again once the market becomes stable again.

Im not losing hope when it comes to altcoins hence I believe major coins are still worth investing, you just have to conduct your own research to know if the particular coin is worth investing or not.

Just because we experience long bearish trend for alts doesnt mean it cant recover back anymore. If the coins has potential no matter how long it takes it will bounce back once alts season started. So if believe in alts, you will invest despite of the bad news circulating around for altcoins.

Losing value of some major altcoins os due to volatility and that is normal. Almost all of them depends on the Bitcoin price movement.
