I was recently asked the question "what are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors?" This led me to take some time to investigate what assets were the most popular on our portfolio management application. After evaluating tens of thousands of portfolios, we published this brief study.

Do one really need to go through your article before making a conclusion that Bitcoin take the lead and followed by ethereum? I don't think so because it so glaring that even newbie will need not to read your article before giving answer to whoever asked him or her.

Well, even before opening the link, I can guess that bitcoin is the most preferred coin to date. however, until now bitcoin has become a symbol of cryptocurrency and has become a popular coin to date. for the second position, people have different opinions, it's like ethereum, bnb, and others. but for the first position, I think people who are new to crypto will also choose bitcoin before the others.

Of course the most popular the most famous of cryptocurrency is the bitcoin because the value is very high and there is a lot of use than the other altcoins. Every investors know bitcoin but not all the investors knows the other coin so it's normal that most knew crypto coin is the bitcoin  and it will become more popular in the next few months and it will become higher the value because of that.

Of course the most popular the most famous of cryptocurrency is the bitcoin because the value is very high and there is a lot of use than the other altcoins. Every investors know bitcoin but not all the investors knows the other coin so it's normal that most knew crypto coin is the bitcoin  and it will become more popular in the next few months and it will become higher the value because of that.

Bitcoin actually have no working product behind it's back but yet it has driven to the most widely spread cryptocurrency of all times and I think this took place because of the Blockchain Technology on which bitcoins are been surviving. Bitcoins would always be the greatest currency of all times because it is the first coin which was been introduced into the decentralized markets.

A lot of coins came after the evolution of bitcoins and most of the coins were actually created from bitcoins which we known commonly as hard forked coins. This makes bitcoins even more popular and each investor would never invest in much of the coins but would surely invest in bitcoins no matter how high the price is.

Nobody would try to take the risk if they think that they got nothing from it. Of course, investors will evaluate if that certain coin/s can give them what they want and to achieve their goal. And for that reasons, they will always consider those coins that are on the top list and ignore those on the bottom. And we all know that Bitcoin and Ethereum will give them a positive response and we could expect that it won't give us disappointment in the long run.

The only thing we need is to be positive of what we invested and being impatient is not the solution to become profitable even you are holding the right coin/s.

Yes. It all goes for bitcoin wherein majority of the people here are into investing and trading bitcoin inspite of its high volatility. Ethereum is also next to it since it's quite profitable too compared to some other altcoins. As a whole, these two coins will help us gain good profits particularly when the market becomes stable again.

I'd actually argue that high stability isn't always the greatest, as it's (in my opinion) somewhat boring when crypto markets start to flatten out temporarily, because a lot of the trading opportunities that we capitalize on around here arise with volatility, although we perceive this as both good and also bad depending on what your position(s) are. A lot of people also start reaching towards using leverage during periods of stability, which also isn't good because a lot of these people end up getting screwed when volatility inevitably cranks back up again.

well i don't need to read that since i have my own faith and belief about popular cryptos,i will not give up on what i am having lol.
Bitcoin of course is my first and most popular while ethreum is the next,Cardano and some tokens as well.

but maybe there are point that popularity is not only for those who has biggest market cap,because it can be owned by small counts of individual with high amounts while there are lower ranking currencies but supported by many people though they only hold small amounts.

I read your article and I appreciate it.. the results you conclude are actually not much different from what we can see in coinmarketcap.com (the cryptocurrency that investors are interested is in the top 20).  Bitcoin cannot be removed from the cryptocurrency that is most popular for investors.

That seems a quite informative blog to start with for newly joined people. What I can see is that bitcoins have dominated over the blog and in any asset we could see bitcoins on the top of the graphs. This itself explains us that most of the investors or maybe each of the investor has some bitcoins into his/her portfolio which makes bitcoins the most popular cryptocurrency for investors.

Moreover, most of the investors joined with us over here only because of bitcoins. Bitcoins have attracted a lot of investors from various fields to invest into these decentralized markets and hence those investors also found some coins like ETH, Tron, BSV, XRP, etc to diversify their investments into.

There's no doubt about that, bitcoin is the very popular and the far most successful cryptocurrency in history. Many cryptocurrencies try to overpower bitcoin but no one has ever beaten bitcoin and it has proven to be the best as well thus, most investors prefer bitcoin over the other coins because it is where they can guarantee profits most especially if we are looking about long term investment.

It is not that easy to trust on the smaller coins, its understandable why people pick the highest market cap ones because we all think that they are the safest choices for us. To expect too many people to have smaller coins and the same coin at that would be really bad logic because everyone agrees on the top ones but they differ when it comes to smaller ones.

Just to give an example, if this test was done in a way that top 20 coins would be named as their own names but it was done that any coin that is outside of top 20 would be labeled "other" instead of their own names, I can guarantee you the "other" option would be very high as well, those smaller coins are not listed here because everyone has their own small coin but with the proposal I have you can ask crabby and be sure that "other" would be very high on the list.

First you need to understand what investors need today. After the cryptocurrency boom, a lot of additional players seeking fast money came to the market.
Most of these players have already left the market during the subsequent correction. However, many have remained so far, in particular large ones.

Any investor knows his goal - this is profit. If an asset makes a profit, then what difference does it make with it in the future, the main thing is to get rid of it in time.
Or choose the asset that will be profitable in the long run. Thus, it is enough for the investor to divide his portfolio into short-term and long-term investments.

In fact, the continuous increase in Bitcoin resistance will simply mean that more and more people are investing this particular coin far away from altcoins.

Have made good profits from the holding some starsh of Bitcoin some years ago, sold them out was my major breakthrough in finance. Well, some cryptocurrencies are certainly guaranteed in profit especially when you invest an acceptable amounts (Like, Bitcoin, XRP, Tron, Tether, Bitcoin cash ..ect ) but in a long term because day trading is unprofitable specifically in this period due to the market is unstable, so most of investors are avoiding the low-value currencies, with less than 100 Million dollars in Market cap, it is too risky to pick them to be honest. For me, I only trust Bitcoin and Ethereum except them, I don't give attention for the others despite some of them profitable.

Although most people have mentioned that bitcoin is still the dominant cryptocurrency to invest on, I would suggest ETH and XRP as altcoins that have a potential in the market. One of the ways in maximizing your profit while lowering the risks is through diversifying your portfolio. If you only utilize bitcoin as your main source of investment, you would still incur profit but lose the potential of increasing your profit margins.

Ethereum has shown potential through the years. I read in an article that Ethereum might be a better internet currency than bitcoin because of the latter's volatility.<sup>1

That's maybe because you are looking for long term success, bitcoin is the strongest while ETH is the best altcoin when it comes to ranking.

Binance Coin have the highest potential to grow its price apart from bitcoin. The article in the OP also observes that the popularity and dominance of BNB are rising and are among top 3 coins. However, according to price and supply, it is still below other major altcoins. But things will change soon. Binance is most active crypto based business right now. It is acquiring local exchanges from different countries and committing to provide seamless trade between crypto and fiat in over 180 countries. Once we hit the bull trend, the price of BNB going to outburst the most.
