It's said that there are more men on the Blockchain industry than women. After all, the most prominent figures in the crypto space are male (Vitalik Buterin, Andreas Antonoupolous, CZ, Justin Sun, etc.). When I've talked to females (women) about crypto and Blockchain technology, I've noticed that their level of interest is not as much as it's the case with men. Maybe it's because women are not into technology itself? I believe that if we'd get more females in the Blockchain industry, the field would have a diversity in gender instead of being focused only on men.

What are your thoughts? Do you think that females will be able to adopt Blockchain and crypto over the long term? Or will men continue to dominate the space? Huh

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I dont' remember any women around when Bitcoin was less than $1 and the space was undeground for freaks. Vitalik and Andreas formed back then. Now it is multi-billion industry and we should have diversity? ok girls go back in past with time machine and do your hard work

They will.

The women that you have talked to might not be that interested as the other women that I've talked to. Their interest isn't really into blockchain but probably they were hired just to be with the main person who's the actual frontline of an event and real blockchain and crypto enthusiasts.

The world is too wide and the same goes with the internet, you probably haven't found the woman that you can talk to all of the time and how interested she is with the tech.

Lot of women being a part of new crypto projects like ICO so they already started exploring the technology maybe they didn't get too much attention because of anonymity and decentralized things but gender is not important here, anyone with the skills can shine so no need of gender talks,IMHO.

Maybe in the future. Some artist in our Country are now becoming interested in cryptocurrency and that's a good aign of improvement IMO. Also some of my trader friends are girls. They are even good than me when it comes to trading. Cryptocurrency has been dominated by mens and obviously they are more stronger when in fact answering some questions when regards to blockchain. There should be no difference men or women since blockchain is an innovation created for both I dont think we can simply compare which is dominant.

BIG WINNER!

There are a number of notable women who are actively involved in leading projects that are dominating the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry:  Elizabeth Stark (Lightning Labs),  Meltem Demirors (DCG), Galia Benartzi (Bancor), Elizabeth McCauley (Bitcoin Foundation).

Maybe it's because women are not into technology itself?

It is good you have put this forward as a question and not just an opinion. Thee are exceptional women, who do better than so many men who are into technology. We have female Engineers, female Astraunuts and so on. When it comes to blockchain technology, I believe there would have been some women who are already into it and in fact a lot of them. It's just that they may not yet be among the prominent ones and which is why they are not yet in the limelight.

Also, there are many projects, I mean real and good projects that have women among their team.

It is a gradual process. Very soon, we will begin to see them in the limelight.

Most women are not particularly interested in technology. Women are interested in cosmetics and clothing. It is not known whether men and women are different in nature, but there are still some women joining the blockchain industry, and some of them are better than men. These women cannot be underestimated.

women are actually born with different obligations than men, but I don't say it all. The majority of women are born to beautify and service and the service is the main, they are emotionally gifted, so they will do the job better than men. That's why jobs involving numbers are more of a concern for men, because they absorb numbers quickly.
Most women just like things related to art or emotions, they feel it very well so they have a mission for themselves.
As for whether women would accept this kind of high technology in their daily lives, I think the answer is yes. Because they are just like ordinary citizens, banks and payment services will make it easier for everyone to use.

Personally, I believe that the crypto industry has greatly influenced the image of both men and women. I believe that a woman can also easily develop cryptocurrency and make money on it. In addition, men, too, may not develop cryptocurrency, but engage in household chores. I believe that for the development of new technologies, such as blockchain, any person may not care what kind.

Most women have different interest and they are not so fond in the new technology particularly in blockchain.

But some of my girl friends are also engaging themselves in crypto especially those who are staying at home and looking for opportunity online.

Men will continue to dominate thats a fact, but the time will come the number of girl crypto enthusiast will increase too.

I still think that the problem relies heavily into "who you know" situation. Normally in business people should hire good quality and amazing workers right?

Well, that generally doesn't apply in finances because normally in finances people who are super smart should be hired but instead people who know other people hire each other which creates the problem. Hiring a friend or a colleague or a alumni is a big problem in the finance world, and lets face it, men do hang out with other men and have more fun compared to having women friends, they are attracted to them but in a "friendship" men prefer other men.

So, in order to get more women into finances and also crypto we need to make sure people hire based on merit and not based on friendship or proxy for the open positions in their companies.

I don't know exactly what is the reason behind this but I think it is because females are more emotional than men that is why they are afraid to take risk or explore new things. Also, like what you have said men are more into technology that is why bitcoin community is dominated by men. Like before mathematicians are also dominated by men because we are more on numbers.

This topic reminds me of a tweet, asking Justin Sun to invite a woman to his lunch with Warren Buffet, and actually having a poll for which CT celebrity must be chosen for that!

Funny, invite one of us women just because we're women! Not because we are great minds, or well respected members of the community, but because we have vaginas!  Angry

If women want to be in crypto as anything (devs, celebs, coders, analysts, investors, ...) they must start trying hard to be good enough to get a position, and earn respect by deserving that position (which is something we will all love to see).

The simple problem of looking funny if a woman is developing a blockchain and pausing to develop on the grounds of being pregnant? menstruation? or other women's problems?
It is clear that a man lives more freely, stronger and more resilient. so the responsibilities are more optimal, so that development can be faster. IMO women may be involved in a blockchain or crypto that is just to try this technology and may be interested only in working on a developing project such as marketing or easy things. (women) they are created not to work hard and hold heavy responsibilities.

This is seriously blast from the past kind misogynic weird stereotypes from 70s. Talking about "holding heavy responsibilities and easy things" when there are so many multitasking women taking care of the children when their men didn't want to help while doing their job.

What does "getting women into blockchain technology" even mean? Do you want more female blockchain developers? Well, then how would you get them if there's not much female programmers to begin with? Or maybe you want women to invest in shitcoins? Trading is also a male-dominated field, although not as much as software engineering. But in both cases as well as in many others, women usually avoid taking risks, so it's reasonable that there's less women in blockchain. And refusing to take risks shouldn't be viewed as a bad thing, so imo there's no problem that needs solving.
