The draft will be on April 24-26. What is everyone's speculation on the 49ers pick on round 1? They are on the 11th on this list? However, do they not need a good quarterback or will they make another shocking trade for this similar to the trade on Christian McCaffrey?

Also I am also very much wondering on the Miami Dolphin. This animal certainly needs a quarterback riding him hehehehe.



The 2025 NFL draft takes place April 24-26 in Green Bay’s Titletown District at Lambeau Field. The draft will air on NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.

The Titans earned the first overall pick in the 2025 draft by having the NFL’s worst record in 2024. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is the favorite to go to Tennessee first overall.

I can't say that I get excited about the draft and I've never watched it, but just today I was thinking about how far away we are until the next season starts. I've been trying to get pumped about the UFL for 2 years but its still just not happening. Maybe if they had a team from California or something, that would make it slightly more interesting.

As far as I know, drafting rookies never pays off well, only if its a mid-season discovery as a free agent. Anyway, only 143 days until Sept 4.

It's Draft Day!!!

Ashton Jeanty fomo is real. At the end of the season everyone had the Cowboys take Jeanty at 12, then it was the Bears, then Pete Carroll and the Raiders. And now almost every mock draft from the past two days has Jeanty go 5th to the Jags. Hell, i've even heard rumors about teams trading up to the third to take him. It's crazy.  

Overall deep running back class, the two top tight end prospects, Loveland and Warren, look more than decent...i think one of them could go as early as a top 10 pick.

From all the reports i'm reading Shedeur Sanders is tanking big time, likely out of the first round. QB-needy teams like the Giants, the Saints and the Steelers would rather have Jaxson Dart over Shedeur.

Those "Don't Pick Me" quotes from Shedeur though...talk about speaking words into existence. 

It's a humbling experience, hopefully he can take note and turn this into a valuable lesson as the circumstances of him falling this deep into the draft has nothing to do with his skill set on the field.  A 5th round pick is still better than going undrafted, i guess....and besides the Browns QB room is bleak, i won't be surprised if he gets the starting QB job mid through the season.

Jags indicating to reporters that they are interested in taking Jeanty at #5 was an epic smokescreen, love me some first-round trades.  The Patriots are having a decent draft thus far, a left tackle, center and two offensive weapons...highly uncharacteristic but great for Maye. Texans taking two WRs probably means Tank Dell won't play at all this season.

Too bad there won't be Hard Knocks the offseason edition this year, at least not one featuring an NFL team. It's hard to imagine another team would volunteer to be on the show again, given the Giants' front office stinker from last year.

Wow, amazing what makeup and wardrobe can get accomplished.  It took me a second to realize that wasn't Davis and Madden.  I haven't paid for movie theater ticket since my son grew out of his Marvel phase 13 years ago, but I would sit down to watch this once it's available on a streaming service.

Christian Bale is pretty versatile, and I can see Nicholas Cage doing good as Madden.  Cage was a long time Bay Area resident, and we had a lot of exposure to Madden in the region well into the 2000s via his radio show and frequently joining broadcasts after his retirement from radio.

*The 49ers have a favorable schedule, arguably the easiest. I cannot see them missing the playoffs two years in a row.

Not many I'm guessing. He won them a SB before going 9-7 in his last season. He was the best coach the Raiders ever had.

In any case, have there been important trades on players that we should know that might also add on the team's success rate to enter the playoffs?

I am beginning my research on the Chargers presently heheheh. Jim Harbaugh will bring this team to the conference final within 2 years hehehee!

The bad thing about Harbaugh and the Chargers is Justin Herbert will not be passing a ton. Harbaugh will run the ball down teams throats most of the time. Long as they're winning I doubt Herbert complains or anything, just gonna kill his market value at contract time IMO. Chargers aren't going to get rid of him or anything, just gives him less room to negotiate that big 60 million dollar per year contract.

Wow, that looks like it might be the toughest schedule of the season.  They've got a tough row to hoe just in their own division, then throw in the NFC East and AFC North, both of which are tough divisions.  It looks like they have a couple of winnable games before their bye, but no section of their season looks particularly easy.

In the past that didn't mean much for the Bills, especially later in the season, but last year they were undefeated at home.  I would love to see another Superbowl without the Chiefs before I die.

I hope you're right, last season was a huge disappointment.  Our season does look fairly easy with the NFC South and AFC South making up the bulk of our match-ups.

Lol, both NY teams are looking fucked this year.

Interesting to see three games in the UK this year (four if you count Ireland as part of the UK, but let's not get political.)  A total of seven games being played in foreign lands, including Spain for the first time.  It makes me question why they don't have at least one regular season game in Mexico every year.  Seems like a no-brainer.

Despite hating the Raiders, I've always been a fan of Madden too.  His time with the Raiders was before I got into football, so I mostly knew him as a TV and Radio broadcaster.  I always appreciated his insight, wit, humor.  Not to mention he was about as classy a gentleman as one could imagine.

Nicholas Cage is a tool and a very limited actor, but I've enjoyed a few films he's been in.  Most notably, David Lynch's Wild at Heart, but that's due to David Lynch's weirdness and vision and nothing to do with Cage other than the role was perfect for him.  Then of course there's Lord of War, his best movie in my opinion.

(Hated the bears draft. I don’t understand the lack of love for Kmet. IMO he’s a star who’s proved it in horrible situations every single game of his entire career .,trubisky, Fields ..both who have no clue how to check down and lack accuracy. Then last year the offensive line was one of the worst of all time AND he had a dipshit OC who refused to throw to him for the first few games, opting for an old ass TE he knew from Seattle, who sucks. Finally they started throwing to him, and the offense improved sizably (not saying much, I know). He’s a legit Y TE who’d be a big name in a good situation IMO..I could see KC trying to snag him, if Kelce doesn’t retire b4 the season, no question this is his last. Edit : @DW & Mor - the Bears schedule is brutal for 2 reasons. One, in arguably footballs best division top to bottom, and because last year I believe they were considered to have the NFLs easiest division schedule . The NFL has some sorta something (algorithm I imagine) which in the name of “fairness” (Goodell and fair is an oxymoron, I know) will do things like this. It’s only fair if you were handed what they consider the leagues easiest schedule, you’d get the most difficult the following year.

Man. Truly sad. I hadn't really read much about the whole federal funds scheming thing he was involved with, but it seems to be the nail in the coffin for his legacy. I remember feeling bad for him after he said all the hits to the head he took during his career was affecting his memory and cognitive functioning.
