With that being said September 1st my kid has a soccer tournament all day.  If this is the day I will try my best to draft in-between games and/or while they are playing but I can't promise anything so I might have to go on auto draft for a couple of rounds or so.  Link I said I'm in so I will make it work one way or another.

Yea the trade situation was pretty shitty, everyone wanted the world and wanted to give peanuts to get it or no trade. That was probably single handedly the worst thing about our league, but at the same time it was for money so you don't really wanna give too much of an advantage to opponents.

I have the app installed on my phone so it's just easy access to me. If the sleeper thing has the same option, that's fine Just need to know for sure what we are using so if we are switching I can look around and see what's different.

Kinda wanna see the final votes done now so we have time to prepare for whatever changes there may be or recruit a person or 2 if needed.

I am still unable to login, and believe me I have tried everything I could think of, I downloaded the app and still could not login, so I do not really have any idea of what it may have gone wrong when the sign-up process is so straightforward.

No one is a fan of yahoo, per se, but it works and it's familiar to us all.  I would hate to have you drop out because of such a trivial thing.  I'll look into synchronizing the Yahoo league with Sleeper, if possible that would put the whole debate to rest.

PPFD is "point per first down," so if a reception or a run result in a first down the player earns another fantasy point on top of the yardage points.  It parallels and rewards the efforts of real-life football.

PPR is "point per reception."  Purists hate it because it rewards any reception caught, regardless of it's affect on the drive.  Even catches that result in negative yardage are awarded a point.  It often makes third-rate running backs gain lots of points just because they are brought in to take dump-off passes that are meant to prevent the QB from taking a sack.  Thus, reducing the value of star RBs, and elevating the value of second and third string backs.  Those that like it argue that it gives the league a wider field of RBs with value.  It does add value to lower ranked WRs and TEs  as well, but it seems to have a wider impact on RBs, especially those who are used more during passing plays.

Can I ask why certain things are a deal breaker for some? IMO you either would like to participate or you wouldn't right? Should it matter the platform it's on? or if certain things such as PPR or PPFD are in? Or the buyin is too low? too high?

As for me refusing to play PPR, I think it is a bane to both football in general and fantasy specific. I have always refused to play it and have never changed and quit the Monero league when they switched to it.

IMHO it was pushed by the gambling industry to more easily quantify prediction algorithms to pad thier pockets.

But the side effect is it elevates crappy players with big contracts because of volume and make hoards of plebs break out the pithforks and torches when thier favorite draft pick didn't get 90% of touches. Sort of like the twitter tards going on rampages at head coaches for having the audacity to try to win the game and protect thier players rather than padding a fantasy team.

An update over my sleeper app issues.

I have had alot of issues with apps because I refuse to use google products on a phone and everything seems to use google play for permissions and if you don't bend over and spread your cheeks for google a ton of shit will not work on a andriod phone.

I think thats the issue i currently am at with the yahoo app mock draft not opening.

@hhampuz- you know what PPR is..Points Per Reception, that's what we play in our main league.  Each time a player makes a catch in our league, they get .5pts.   There's a lot of PPR versions, but typically it just means each catch gets it .5 or 1 point per.  I've always been a fan of playing this way, but it's always nice to play multiple ways too.

Yeah as much as I'm dreading having to register on yet another site and learning how it works and dealing with inevitable bugs and glitches, I would probably still participate if majority decides to leave yahoo... so I'm just putting my vote in and waiting.

Well to be fair he was wishy washy on joining last year and putting his foot down and saying I won't play unless you guys change is a little over the top.

I personally think he just didn't want to play and this is a good excuse.

This was inevitable as one player said if we change they will leave so whatever way the voting went someone was going to go.

I'm going to pm seek3r again but the fact he hasn't replied yet leads me to believe he will also not be playing.

So that means we are down to 9 from last year which seems to be about par for the course.

This is about normal turnover, we increased the teams to 12 last year.

Well, that really bites.  I hope you'll reconsider.  I did look into Sleeper synchronizing the Yahoo league, but it doesn't look possible.  You can manually select all your players and add them to a Sleeper watch list to get notifications, but you would still have to use Yahoo for setting your lineups for the week.

Since seek3r hasn't responded I'm going to assume he's not interested this year, so unfortunately we're down to 9 players.

No bad blood here @Hueristic, I just want to stick to one platform and will play if this league is on said platform. Don't think it's crazy and definitely not looking to force you guys to switch any more than you saying you'll drop out if majority wants to do PPR 

Might drop in here from time to time as I do play other leagues (with some people from here) - so just bowing out of this particular league but I love both the NFL and Fantasy so I'm not going anywhere

We could try the Games and Rounds section. Make an ad there that we are active Fantasy Football League going into their 4th season looking 1 player to fill up a spot. Bump it every 24 hours.

I know they aren't as active here anymore, but maybe tyKiwanuka could have interest in joining? Last year, the two free spots filled up quickly. I don't know, it's a long shot...
