Might drop in here from time to time as I do play other leagues (with some people from here) - so just bowing out of this particular league but I love both the NFL and Fantasy so I'm not going anywhere 

Your always welcome and if you change your mind and the spot is still open then i'm sure we all would love that.

And yes even if someone is not in the league they are more than welcome to participate in the thread!

No bad blood here @Hueristic, I just want to stick to one platform and will play if this league is on said platform. Don't think it's crazy and definitely not looking to force you guys to switch any more than you saying you'll drop out if majority wants to do PPR 

I just want to point out that it is not the same. Maybe you don't realize it but when this league started we had a discussion of the rules I specifically stated that if we did PPR I would not play, so that has been known since day 1 of this league.

Also that is not remotely close to joining a already established league and then wanting the rules to be changed or your going to leave.

Also one of the other members has made it clear that they will leave if your request was met.

Either way we lose a player.

Can I ask why certain things are a deal breaker for some? IMO you either would like to participate or you wouldn't right? Should it matter the platform it's on? or if certain things such as PPR or PPFD are in? Or the buyin is too low? too high?

Yeah as much as I'm dreading having to register on yet another site and learning how it works and dealing with inevitable bugs and glitches, I would probably still participate if majority decides to leave yahoo... so I'm just putting my vote in and waiting.

Trust me moon I feel ya.  You should see my username / password list.  I mean it's literally a mile long.  I promise you'll really enjoy Sleeper though.  It's easily the best fantasy football program/tool I've ever used.  They've kind of perfected the whole thing by taking what was/is best from all the other sites and combined it in to one.   The ONLY thing they don't really have that I would like is a "player chat" like Yahoo USE to have when it was working where you can discuss individual players in a chat.  Would not be surprised if they added it either, and soon.

Awesome!  Glad to have you back this year.  I'll be even more glad when I take your money at the end of the season.  

Please submit your votes for your preferred league settings, but keep in mind PPR is a no-go because the Commish gets 1.5 votes!  

direwolf's reasons to hate on PPR:

It really is bad for the game of football.  Back in the day you used to see really smart football, players who understood the game and did what was best for the team.  PPR has made players prioritize their own stats over the performance of the team.

For example: Former 49er Tight End Brent Jones is often regarded as one of the smartest TEs to have ever played the game.  There are plenty of good reason he was one of Steve Young's favorite targets.  Despite his production it was not uncommon to see him intentionally drop at least one pass during a game.  The intention was obvious, he would hold his hands out, palms facing forward to deflect the ball to the ground.  Why would he do such a thing?  Because an incomplete pass doesn't change the line of scrimmage, but a catch behind the line of scrimmage and an instant tackle does.

Imagine you're team is facing a third and 5, barley within field goal range, the quarterback takes the snap, notices the blitz, starts to scramble but is swarmed by defenders.  He looks for an outlet, and lets it rip to the closest running back, who then catches it and immediately get tackled for a 7 yard loss.  It could literally cost the team the game, but the RB got to pad his stats with another catch.  The same RB that was tasked with picking up the blitz, but failed.

It's hard to believe that Fantasy stats have that much impact on the players and IRL football, but it they do.  I see the scenario illustrated above unfold all the time, and I think to myself WTF!  Did these guys just start playing football last week?  Where's the intelligence, where's the team-first mentality, where's the smart football I used to watch as a kid?  Ironically, you still see smart, heads-up play in college, and even in high school football games.  So, what's different about professional football?  Fantasy stats.

10 team league may help me in the draft over the long run, should be more running backs available unlike last year it seemed like I couldn't get a decent back besides Saquan Barkley.

Well alot of guys stocked up on RB's (like me) while most the league fought over Wideouts so the rb pool was garbage until someone got hurt.

I like to draft RB.RB unless there is a steal wr avail in the second rnd like last year i scored Sun God pick 12.

I paid the fees last year.  I had sent an extra 0.0001BTC with my entry fee to cover the fees so the winners got the whole pot.  I'll do the same thing this year.

I just looked up the transaction, I set it up on January first, and it got it's fist confirmation on February 10th.  I burned the whole 0.1mBTC on fees which amounted to 11.3 sats/vB.  Fees are much more reasonable at the moment, but who knows what things will look like after January 6th.

The next step is to determine the draft order. If no one has any other suggestions, we can go with the hash lottery or a somewhat improved version. Instead of taking only the last digit of each block hash for each spot, why not utilize the next available digit in the same block as we go backward? It will save us a ton of time. Let me explain:

I hear ya Hueristic, I prefer 12 man but sometimes 10 is the only option and when you’re in multiple leagues ..look at your 10 man vs 12..can be kinda frustrating, for lack of a better term. You know what I’m saying lol.

Believe it or not, I've never done blow or hookers.  But I do like Monero just because it pisses off the feds.
