Yes I worked on the longest shift 8.AM 8.PM It's very annoying to me Feeling too tired not to want to go to work later  They have to act as they wish and pass the time in a catch. I worked in a 12-hour shift It's usually a company you can't take a vacation with if you want to.

I also worked shifts from 8-10-10am to 14 hours within the morning a bit like you I didn't do much for a few times thanks to family problems It seemed very annoying to me I used to be so tired and didn't want to travel again the subsequent day. That's why I work part-time now thereupon bed.

Did you also wear chains? And "bracelets" (to avoid saying "cuffs") Smiley

i never worked in my entire life not even one hour

That's ok if you are <18 and admirable if you are >30. In the last case, did you ask your parents how tired they are? Smiley

My longest shift was at a ad/warehouse managment company. 18 hour shift to get the election ads sorted and delivered to the mailpersons. It was quite taxing shift, but the overtime pay was really really nice Smiley

24 hour shift is pretty common here. Nurses work 24 hour shifts. Security guards work 24 hour shifts and then have 2 days free, and then 24h shift again. Some sawmill workers work 24 hour shifts too.

Work is slavery.

Lol and are you proud of this?
I mean, ok... You don't have to work overtime (it is not something that you have to be proud of) but you have to do something to make a living. If you are lazy then you do not have to work not even one hour of course...

Working is not something heroic to be proud of. Working is basically modern slavery. I have worked to get money and complete some goals that can be completed by money. But I prefer to work for myself, even do something illegal as long as it is safe and profitable and I am independent. One exception is doing something that matters, like saving people as medic or emergency rescue team. Or a soldier.

Nobody in my country have become rich by working. All current millionaires become millionaires by privatizing state owned property at the downfall of USSR. Later some organized crime bosses become millionaires in the turmoils of 90-ties. Working people get just enough money to get by from one payday to next one. All people I know have risen above the basic worker by engaging in different criminal activities.

My 16h shift, this is my longest working day.
The reason is that I helped him to do that, his son was sick so he had to take him to the doctor.

You see, working is a slavery. What is more important - some job that is basically meaningless, or a sick childrens health?

I am thinking a lot about it. We have apps to share cars (basically stupid idea), but we have no app to do some random odd job and get paid instantly. And have bid system. And reputation system. Everyone will be a winner, except modern shave owners a.k.a employers.

I worked a 16 hour shift 6 am - 10 pm. But it was not difficult for me, on the contrary, I liked this work! We worked in the reserve almost in the wild! We had a great company of people, we laughed a lot, had fun and worked well. We made trails, river crossings and more. I worked like this for almost 3 months. And I still remember those days with a smile!

well I remember once I stayed at work for 2 entire days and slept there for 4 hours only to wake up and continue on the project which we finished only 5 hours before the deadline and avoided a penalty for the company

I did something like that as well, there was no deadline but servers went down and remained there to assist the sys/net admin for recovering things when needed.

Well after that 2dayish "shift" i think we had an extra non working day immediately after the event that week. It was simply a recovery from downtime situation.

I had worked once from 8AM to 10PM. It was long and tough day. And it was really difficult to get up and go to work next day.
And for one month I had 10 shifts. From 7AM to 7PM. It was really difficult, because it was hard physical work. After work I had almost no free time and only wanted to rest after coming back home. I left this job soon because money that I got wasn't worth all efforts.

at least you tried your best to stay for a while mate, and what you've did is the best action for that since the Payments is not worth of the work.

i will do the same if i am in your situation.

well 10 hours is actually more than enough for a day ,because regular hours is 8 and this must be Over Time.
