What the OP said is really true. If the negative aspect arises whenever you gamble and it outweighs the positive impact in your life, I guess it is time to move on and forget gambling. I know it is easy to say but hard in real life. And that I think is also one of the major struggles of gamblers. Yes if we want to not destroy our life because of the gambling you need to not addicting playing.
Because the number 1 reason why gambler destroy what they have because they did not control while they playing and also they are greedy to the profit that can cause losing more money.

But it is also the hardest part of gambling, to avoid getting addicted.
Being greedy is already in the nature of a person, removing it seems to be impossible. The only thing a person can do is to stop for a while if they think that they are getting addicted, that way, they can prevent from digging their own grave.

That is was hard and of a big challenge when sometimes you've been getting into addiction. Many gamblers whereinto that situation but they can make themselves leave gambling because they consider this as a source of income. Quitting faster when getting losing streak is already something to do, no matter how much you have funds that can be spent in gambling, because when you have been unlucky in a few days it would be better for you to take a break. well not really . i can always realize if there is wrong with me even if i still have a balance on my gambling acount   . this is stopping me for continuing  but for the majority yes , they will only realized it when they have nothing or already broke due to too much gambling  .  people like those needs help so how can you say that its useless to tell people to stop  ? im pretty sure that there are gamblers that are tired and will decide to stop and they are only waiting for someone to tell them to stop a.k.a encouragement on the other word  .

It’s good thing that you were able to overcome your gambling addiction and started with new thing which help you relax or entertain yourself . Also if possible try to take up some new passion of outdoor activities as this will help you to explore the outside gambling as well rather than just be using computer . So how did it end actually is what I was curious about, I mean do you still go there and win money? If not did you try to put your own money lately to gamble? I can't stop gambling, in fact until now I am still gambling despite the fact that I am addicted in the past. The last time we did it was half a year ago and what I need to do is to face it myself since they've done their part and the problem is with me, not theirs though they are still giving me tips and suggestions to be done. That is what I need but as a teacher, I can't usually do that. Planning the lessons ahead, checking activities and usually checking up on them can really eat my time. To be honest, you are more busy with your job than your personal life and I still find time to gamble take note of that. I think I can do this, I am not that weak mentally so I have some ways to do things.
