Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing?

I like to know your opinion about the question because I believe every gambler has a different way of managing himself.

My answer to the question is I can easily stop when I am winning because I am afraid I might end up with nothing since I know to myself that I am not yet consistent enough to win in gambling, however, based on my experience, I can't easily stop when I am losing despite the fact that I already set up a limit to gamble in a certain day or a certain session.

We are the same, I will go to the safest place. When I win in gambling and hit  my certain standard, I will now stop for a while and I can invest it on bitcoin. Maybe this is a wise management of funds because if we dont limit ourselves, we will ended up as gambling addict and this might affect our relationship with other people or worse hurt other people.

I disagree with this. Losing their balance on a gambling site don't stop people from gambling more and more. They simply deposit another amount, which is usually bigger than the previous one, because they want to recover their losses. And if they don't have money of their own, they borrow it. It is called "chasing losses", and it's a real hell, if you ask me.

On the other hand, for those gamblers who only play with money they can afford to lose, indeed losing their balance means stop for the day. And although it's the majority of gamblers, I don't think we are talking about them in this topic, because for them it's not hard to stop at any time, regardless of whether they are losing or winning.

The major and hard thing for you is easy which is to stop in losses beacuse human are such that always want money back or play to recover those lost money and only if you have self control can stop it . While when you are winning at the max you lose that winning amount if you continue gambling and then you may stop once you lose all your winning so effectively you lost nothing from your capital side .

Don't be greedy and handle your funds wisely and you don't have to make such decisions hard. We all know that gambling couldn't guarantee us an assurance of gaining a good profit all the time so we should accept the fact that there will always be losses along the way so we have to know our limits.
If we know how to handle our funds, we will know when to stop and when to take the risks. It all goes with self-discipline.

I guess many gamblers will feel hard to stopping when they win gambling because they will feel to get to play more rounds and try to get more winnings. But unfortunately, as we don't know what will happen in the next round, the chances for us to get a win will not have a big opportunity because we also don't know if the luck still beside us or not. But if we can stop right away after we win the game, that will help us to save the win money so we can withdraw the money (if the money is big) and we can celebrate the winning moment with our friends or family.

I have the same attitude as yours bro because I am also easy to stop on gambling especially when I feel that I am winning because the fact that I may lose on the following rounds and go home as a loser, I will just stop on gambling once I feel that I am already winning so that I will go home with the money and I will go home happy because I've won than going home with nothing and losing money. For the fairness' sake, I must say that it is currently unknown, for how long one should play so that the house edge would certainly overweigh any possible luck. With millions of bets made, house edge would definitely show itself, but we can't say the same about, say, 400-500 bets.

"Chasing losses" is a bad practice overall, because it nudges you on the path of an addicted gambler, but I wouldn't say that winning with that is against math.

I'm not contradicting you here but it depends on the gambler because there are 2 situations that can happen when they lose:
1. Either they will stop totally like you said.
2. They will find a way to have some money again that will be use for gambling. Like they always said "If there's a will there's a way".

Borrowing for the first time with your relatives is possible but once they know that you are using for gambling then they will not let you borrow for the second time again. Loaning on banks is possible too but this way is being used by the gamblers who are heavily addicted into gambling. I saw some loaning applications too that they will offer loans. Having discipline is not easy, and not all gamblers can do. But I don't think that discipline will be on the professional gamblers because new people who are trying to playing gambling can also have discipline. But every people have a chance to lose discipline, especially if they are in winning. When we are winning, we can forget about discipline, and we can break our rule so that we can get more losses.
