.....
That will be the most important for surviving the epidemia.

What are you talking about?

56000000 million people die every year. These year so far 9500000 died 3200 of them from the COVID-19 disease that is 0.03%

The worst day for SARS-CoV-2 virus was on the 10th of February. On that day 108 people died in China

BUT, on the same day
26283 people died of Cancer
24641 people died of Heart Disease
4300 people died of Diabetes
and on that day , Suicide, unfortunately, took more lives than the virus by  28 times.
Mosquitos kill 2740 people every day and snakes 137
BUT corona spreads in the air which is not happening with other mentioned you had so none of your example is comparable. Grin

@OP,what should we do to save ourselves from getting affected?

Corona less likely to affect you if your immune system is better so try to make yourself healthier and warmer.

What helps is:
Anything which help infections against common cold or "the flu"
Wash hands frequently and/or use disinfection tissue often
Have a good immune system
Lots of Vitamine C
Not have preexisting health issues
A warm home
Gloves
And most important some common sense
and this

This feels like it was ripped straight off someone's Facebook wall.

Even avoiding the easy target of assigning the fallacy of relative privation to your post, we can examine some problems with the false equivalency.

The most glaring issue is simply this: you are applying the numerical value of covid-19 deaths (i.e. 108) to that of the numerical value of alternative causes of death.
It is not exactly fair to compare the number of deaths from a viral outbreak in its infancy to the number of deaths from already-developed forms of death.
To elaborate in the context of your examples, note that cancer didn't exactly 'start' in late December... neither did heart disease, nor diabetes and the rest.

Furthermore, let us not forget the importance of statistical weighting and distribution... just because more people die from cows than sharks does not mean that cows are more deadly than sharks.
Consider the fact that the sample encompasses the entire population, but one would certainly say that the chances of dying of a shark attack are higher when living on the coast than deep in the mainland.

That being said, we could arrange similar comparisons with each of your provided examples, though I'm sure by now we should all have some idea of why the comparisons aren't great in evaluating the severity of the virus.

Come on guys - they haven't even got a reliable system for testing and diagnosis, so you can any stats be credible, Then there is the fact that people who have not been immunocompromised often don't show any symptoms, and don't get tested.

In addition most of the deaths related to CV are from secondary causes, because the hospitals have buggered up the body's natural defences.

.........
Lets look at some facts.

Average age of the first 31 people who passed away in South Korea is 70 years old.
Before getting the virus, they all had a combination of pre-existing health conditions (e.g. cancer, pneumonia, high blood pressure, kidney problems, brain damage, liver disease, …).
Two of them who passed away underwent an organ transplant shortly before they caught the virus. (yeh being in drugs to suppress immune-system will help)

The average time between being diagnosed with COVID-19 and passing away is 2.5 days in Korea.
Currently 35 listed as died from COVID-19 disease in Korea, age or other particulars unknown at this stage.
Smokers who damaged the lungs fair much worse then average population.

And of course

a bad year, i somehow mist the endless news bombardment.

More numerical value comparison, I see.

You can compare absolute values but again, the flu in that year and covid-19 are operating at different stages of its "infectivity lifetime". The flu had already gone through its whole infection cycle for that year. Can the same be said for the covid-19 virus?
As for your other linked comparison table, I'm just going to point you back to my previous post since the argument's essence is practically unchanged.

It isn't the damage to the lungs that causes smokers to be at an increased risk. Smoking increases the ACE-2 receptors that are used by the virus.

@Spendulus the very first step to help would be is to wash one’s hand constantly, and second would be to wear a mask whenever you’re travelling outside. Third and most important step is to avoid spreading rumours, and only share verifiable information with your loved ones. Last and the most important step would be is to offer them hope that they’ll recover soon from this, even though there’s no precise cure for this but there’s a possibility that people may recover hence we should help them stay strong during this phase.

Open discussion. Not about what can/should governments do, or who the bad guys are. Assume it's as bad as the Great Influenza of 1918, but we know more now, and we're going to do better this time.

A small percentage will die, many - some that you know and some that you don't know - will be quarantined.

What can you do to help?

The best thing we can do is follow the safety regulations. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, follow the curfew rules and don't fight the lockdown. All we need is to stop the transmission for two weeks and we would be fine. Unfortunately even after 1 year people are not willing to wear a mask in public.

You can help by not double masking up, contrary to what Dr. Fauci has said! According to some health officials in Biden's own administration, double masking up means the air flow will float outside the gaps of the mask instead of floating through the cloth and capturing respiratory droplets. Once again, Fauci is spouting nonsense about masks as if they're actually going to stop this thing.

Individuals need to educate themselves on how to protect themselves from contracting the virus and if they get it, educate themselves on how to avoid spreading the virus. They would need to take these precautions.

Alcohol hand sanitizer is to protect yourself.

A mask is mostly to prevent infecting other people.

If you had to, would you be ready to self-isolate yourself for two weeks?
Some people think that using these protective protections will not really help, maybe if they also do not want to be protected.
Nowadays, no matter how concerned you are with others, what they want will still be followed.
Then when there are quarantine rules they are still angry, they reason, they will be hungry, their lives will be meaningless because they are just locked up at home. But what is wrong is the mindset that they currently running into.

My little contribution to the world at large, it's simple,

1. Steady washing of hands.
2. Compulsory use of face mask
3. Healthy living
4. social distancing
5. Day to day medical checkup.

However, I will strongly suggest that we all should to endeavor to go for covid test regularly, and also be on good diets, like fruits for our immune system..

One of the best things we can do is to show the fraud involved with Covid.

As of this writing, there have been 462,258 in the US according to Worldometer - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/.

An area in Spain that used high amounts of vitamin D with their population showed an 82% reduction in so-called Covid deaths - https://www.naturalnews.com/2021-01-22-vitamin-d-reduced-coronavirus-deaths-in-spain.html#.

That's all without the CDC's proclamation that says that 94% of deaths were from comorbidities - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=cdc+94%25+covid+deaths+due+to+comorbidities&t=canonical&ia=web.

What this really means is two points:
1. There is total confusion regarding the truth about Covid and non-Covid deaths;
2. If we used high doses of vitamin D, we could save people from as much as 82% of comorbidities (cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc., etc.), as well as 82% of the stuff that is Covid/flu/pneumonia (since the CDC dumped them all together under one heading).

Cool

I think one of the best thing i can do to help is First: To Pray regardless of their religion, praying for God to help those victim healed and recover, second to help those who are in need, with whatever I have and third to encouraged and lift up those who are spiritually and emotionally and mentally struggle, to cheer them up encouraged in any way possible and last to follow the health protocol and keep oneself safe always and remind others to do so.

What can you do to help?
The virus is existing for over a year already and yet still here infecting many. Even the vaccine is made to cure and serves us prevention to people, it seems its not enough to totally get rid of the virus. If only all of us cooperate and cautious by following the rules and health protocols then the infected can be lessen until there's 0 cases.

What we can do is take care of ourselves and spread words of encouragement to other people that we can overcome this problem. Remind them to follow the rules for the sake of not getting infected, it might have less impact but its a simple gesture that you care for others.
