Sounds very interesting.
Could you tell us more about which platform the game is going to be launched on? I'd love to see a nice mobile mini-game that is both fun and educational, maybe something like QuizUp but people can earn BTC and altcoin rewards for completing quizzes and questionaires?
Could you share some sneak previews of the current progress?

Hi all, I recently started working on an educational game that informs the player about some of the important concepts about bitcoin and am looking for some feedback. The target player is not an engineer or an economist, but a person on the street that still believes fiat is good and that we are fine with money controlled by the state. The game is designed as a series of conversations between two people, one asks questions and the other responds. The responses almost always include a mini game where the player solves a simple task to understand the concept. For example, the first game is a simple "scratch the screen" game to reveal the bitcoin emission schedule. Here's a list topics for which I am currently developing mini games: - Inflation hedge. Digital Gold.
- How to pay using Bitcoin. No need for Credit Cards or banks.
- How payments work - mining intro.
- Double spending is almost impossible.
- Censorship resistance.
- Fleeing a war zone with bitcoin.
- Keeping it safe. Secret sharing.
- Purity of bitcoin vis a vis gold purity tests.
- Address the fear of losing coins.
- Anonymity and privacy.
- No banks or state or single miner or developer regulates Bitcoin. Essentially, "no one" regulates Bitcoin.
Would love to get any input on the list if topics. Is there something I am missing as the first introduction to someone new to bitcoin? Is there something I should take out? Thanks in advance for any thoughts. That is very interesting and so good to hear that an educational game that embodies the learning about Bitcoin is being developed. That will really be a great game to play with specially for those who wanted to know more about Bitcoin because it sound like a simulated conversation, it will looks like Sims City because of the conversation. It is so nice that you put a twist of games in between the conversation so that players won't be bored of plain information since it is intended to educate people. Looking forward once that game of yours have been fully developed because it will be a great way to promote Bitcoin.

He should develop it and make it available to the public, if we have to pay later lets have a feel of what we should expect. I think at the developing stage, you might also need some critical look from experienced gamers so they could provide some advice, I found a lot of games on cryprocurrency boring, I wish you provide an interesting one. Educative games are first meant for the adult before recommendation to kids

I don't think games are a good tool for educating adults about new concepts, they are time-consuming and distracting. You could use them to teach kids, but why would you want to teach kids about Bitcoin in the first place, it's not like they will be using it till they grow up.
Adults play games to relax and have fun, and educational games generally have poor gameplay, so I can't imagine such game being popular.
I don't agree with you. Games are one of the most powerful ways to actually conceptualize new things. I believe there were few studies made that proven that learning gamification is better than just scanning through some text or listen to lectures. Also why do we need to stop playing games if we're adults? It's just a personal opinion of the user. Not really well thought out and they did not say adult should stop playing games they said that adults play games for relaxation and fun. Scanning through text and listening to lectures is boring and I learn very little. It needs to be gamified just like you say. With milestones and rewards. You only old when you stop playing games.

I haven't seen any interesting cryptocurrency games yet. They are monotonous. The only exception is casinos where you can pay with crypt, but this is only a casino.

Would be a good move to have something as cool as that, for some people learning of new things can be tedious and boring except maybe it is fun, using games to educate people about the concept of bitcoin would be great

Game as a tool to inform and educate other people is a great idea. Most people are bored of scrolling in the internet about anything they wanted to know because of many things to read and so, and I believe game is great way to inform people. But in order for people to be interested in it, the game itself should be catchy and eye pleasing, which I know you can. Goodluck OP.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts. It's interesting because you introduce people not just to the concept, but also take an additional angle where you teach people what usually just comes with being tech savy, how to keep keys safe and so on. If it's just a conversation between two interlocutors you should try and introduce some sort of plot to keep people entertained, I've seen many mobile games that are really just short easy stories, and be very successfull at that, so don't shy away from a bit of backstory to this (maybe set the game around the 2008 market crash? Anything works really)

I thought that at first this game wouldn't be a good one but seeing how enthusiastic OP is and his/her target audience is the young people, I think that I can get behind this idea. Hopefully OP can make it more interesting because the attention span of young people aren't that long and they probably get bored if it's all repetition.

If the target audience is the children I guess they didn't pay attention too much to how does the bitcoin work instead they are enjoying play but if the kid gets curious also with the range of the teenager there's a chance it might get into their curiosity. I don't remember the game I saw related to the blockchain it teaches me how does it work.

Agreed. Younger generation today have high standards when it comes to games or apps they put their time and attention, it has to be really entertaining and have good features. I think the purpose of the game would take effect to those teenagers who are able to comprehend such subject and who are getting curious of crypto. I think it would be nice if OP would do a trial phase for his game and gather feedbacks to determine what must be improved. Nonetheless, this is a great effort by OP.

That's a good thing, most children nowadays prefer games, with this it is hoped that they can better understand the world of bitcoin through game intermediaries. lack of understanding about bitcoin for people makes them left behind and can't use bitcoin well. so with this I hope it will attract people to join in the world of bitcoin. I know that the decision to enter here is not an easy thing and we also have to be willing to accept the risk, but if we can manage it well then it will be very profitable.

If it’s for the tech-savvy generation, then such a game might be a success. But if you are talking about the whole population, then this might fail. Not all people would be interested in playing a game when they know that all the information they are looking for is just a search away.

How is possibility that a programmed game can educate or impact someone knowledge of bitcoin during the process of play, let us be civil, actually if these can come to reality show us the sketch or an example of the game in via video let us know, because this era what we need is seen and believe, it's not that I'm demoralizing you, but your ideology is nice but show us prove of possibilities.
